Vintrict Colonel Iyam A Heita It's been hard for me to sit down and read the other fights this round... I dunno why. Cause nothing can top the Jecht Brown Jecht Shot fight. No one's trying to pull off the Lotus Leaf while wrapping you in a chain and ******** your mother. funny you should say that as Hael is the only fight besides my own that I have read lol.

Just Naota Scalar Warfare My latest post in my fight with Jello. Stellar fight. Indeed, it's p' good. Jello seems to have cleaned off the rust, and Scalar has worked out the issues that used to hamper his roleplaying. heart

SWiss vs. Jello has been an interesting read... but did Scalar bust out a lightsaber move?
Plus given the proximity and the half-swording, I'm not quite seeing the rapier's positioning.

There.
If that post doesn't get Bojuka out of ducking / hiding, not much else will.

He started from outside the full length of my extended rapier while I was leaning back, and then he body-lunged in... I have plenty of space to work with. The half-swording is because his other hand is ******** so he just tossed it on the blade for extra oomph.

Scalar Warfare I have plenty of space to work with. True. You don't need much space with a lightsaber.

Scalar Warfare He started from outside the full length of my extended rapier while I was leaning back, and then he body-lunged in... Did I? Because in the previous post I clearly specified "arm length" and you leaned back before making a thrust. While that gives you more room to maneuver your sword it doesn't magically drop me back 3-4 feet from where I specified myself as being. At no point in the last two posts should I ever have been at "the full length of your extended rapier" unless you're only talking about the length of the sword and not the length of the sword plus the arm... in which case it's not an "extended rapier" and just a "rapier". I should probably read your new post now that I'm awake.

Okay, what you're doing doesn't need any room at all so I've got no issues with the distancing. Also: But this is good. You broke first, so I guess I'm honorably allowed to start using abilities now. Though whether I get 20% or 40% super bar off of that post depends entirely how I want to interpret your opening statement of "fight with honor and dignity like men".

I should probably read your new post now that I'm awake. I was already leaning back as per the little diagram I provided... if you had been closer than that extended arm all I would have had to do was raise the point a little as you closed and you'd have run onto the sword. I assumed you weren't trying to kill yourself, so I understood you as attacking from outside that distance, where I couldn't simply hit you by moving my hand.

SWiss was so set on this feint... but looking back, even that is sketchy. He's feinting from a thrust to a cut... to the same target, and after it had already been addressed in the previous post as having glanced its mark. The target hasn't changed so the attack rightfully should not have any better chance of success, especially with you half-swording all up in his grill, chopping down on the shoulder of his sword arm. If anything that would really throw it off.
Granted, he has a lightsaber now, so even with a flick of the wrist and light contact it can split a skull like butter. But still...

I assumed you weren't trying to kill yourself, so I understood you as attacking from outside that distance, where I couldn't simply hit you by moving my hand. I have two entire posts devoted to saying exactly the opposite of that, though. I assumed the diagram was being used as a reference for the thrust regardless of the actual distance, because in the diagram those two people are over twice as far away from each other as our characters were. And no, at no point would he have run onto the sword because that would imply you had enough room to actually point the sword at him. I specifically said multiple times he was intent on staying at close enough range that you couldn't bring the tip against him at all unless you pulled your arm back completely, which is why the thrust was only possible because you specified that you leaned back and brought the tip up when transitioning. Anyway, getting ready for work.

He dodged it by ducking, which, since I'm now chopping down, is not a very effective counter. But I mean, if he gets out of it, alright. I still think it was nice.

I'm definitely not doubting the validity of the current response.
My argument is over something that's irrelevant, because the distance that was there isn't there anymore and that the current move could be executed from the distance as I see it as well as the distance that SW sees it.
