Cody hugged her back and waved as she left, proceeding back to the water, feeling quite cheerful for making a new friend

Cody still hadn't left the beach. It's been about an hour since Shenzi went back to the village, but he still didn't feel like leaving the water
He was laying on his back, floating lazily in the water as the sun warmed his body. He was almost asleep, feeling happy as ever as mental images of him riding a gryphon drifted in front of his eyes
Mmm... it really felt good today

Since Gallen’s changes and the Halloween party, he had kept to himself. Rarely did Gallen come out to talk with folks, locking himself up in his room, reading, taking care of Drake his cat and plotting a way to get cured and off the island. He had tried over and over to contact the labs to try and see if he could speak with his sister, but all he got was static, they were ignoring him.
Thanksgiving had come and passed and finally Gallen started to become stir crazy. moping around his duplex was no fun and he needed to get out. The day was warm and the breeze soothing, he deiced to stroll to the beach. Something in him wanted to go swimming in the clear water. Leavening his duplex with bathing suit on, a T-shirt, shoes on his feet, and his gloves over his hands, he made his way to the beach.
As he cleared the jungle, Gallen was greeted by the sight of someone he rather not see, that little brat Cody

Cody was completely unaware of Gallen's appearence. That is, until he turned around to let the sun warm his back
"Oh great! Just what I needed"
He was too far to fully notice the man's changes, but there was something funny on his face that caught Cody's attention. His nose look a tad weird

Gallen sighed and walked over to the other side of the beach away form Cody. He soon pulled off his shirt and kicked of his shoes. The sand felt nice between his toes, but as he looked down he was greeted with the gray scales that had begin to form on the tops of his feet. He quickly waded into the water, hoping Cody would keep his distance and stay where he was.

Cody felt grateful Gallen kept his distance from him, but not that his curiosity was spartked there was no way to contain it for long
It only took a couple of minutes for Cody to finally give in and submerge. Luckly with the last change and practice he was able to hold his breath for a while, so he'd probably be able to approach Gallen without him noticing and return to his spot before the air ran out

Gallen floated in the water enjoying the soothing feeling of it. His body seemed to feel more alive in the water as he leaned back to float. The scales on his feet glistened as I lifted one foot up out of the water. It felt sooo good, that he had not seen Cody submerge as he rested in the nice water

Cody was nearly there when he saw Gallen's foot glinting in the water. Now more curious than never he approached further, maybe a bit too further. His shape was pretty visible and he was closing in fast

Gallen sighed as he floated in eth water, when he noticed something moving towards him. The he realized Cody had vanished. He soon leaped up, his feet barely touching the ground under the water. s**t what was that thing in the water coming near him….then he recognize the blond hair floating in the water.

Cody was startled with Gallen's sudden movement and moved away to avoid colliding with the legs, only to hit his shoulder in a rock
He immediatly resurfaced and cried out in pain. The rough surface only scratched away a bit of the skin, but the salt made it feel like needles were piercing it

“ah haa, I thought that was you.” He then realized the boy was in pain, “Hey you ok?” He waded over to take a look at the shoulder Cody was holding. “ it is not that bad, just the salt water stinging your wound. So sneaking up on me hmmm?”

"What else should it be? A crab!?!"
Cody snapped and tried to move away from Gallen, but that only made more sea water hit the wound and make him hiss with pain. He couldn't even clean it because his hands were wet
"Yeah, so what?" the stinging was making him snappy. He just wished he could get out of the water to get the pain away

Gallen finally got footing and soon grabbed Cody, picked him up and with all his strength carried the boy out of eth water, sitting him on eth beach. Soon Gallen pulled out the water bottle he was caring form under his t-s**t and pored it onto the short. Once done he began to wipe it over the wound on Cody’s back cleaning off the salt water. “That should help, and maybe fix your attitude. Then again, I seriously doubt much can fix a brat.”

Cody complained when Gallen grabbed him and carried him to the sand. He was not a potato bag to be carried around without asking. But he stood still as the wound was cleaned

While Gallen was attenting to the scratch, Cody noticed well he finally had gone through a change. He had fur, claws and scales? What kind of animal had that? He just kept staring, trying to find a match
