"Oh, you're not with the Coven!? Thank God!!" she gasped, giving a genuine, innocent smile. "I'm one of the newer hunters, just ask Eden if you have to," she explained. "Oh... and if you could let go of me... that'd be nice," she continued with a sheepish grin. Her entire body relaxed under his grip as she realized she was likely not about to die.

Veroen was surprised to see that the girl was part of Eden's Hunters. He hesitated, quickly assessing the situation.

With a growl, he loosened his grip completely, and took his gun away from her, and quickly put it back into its holster.

He then stood there, deciding what to do.

He would not kill her. No, that is not what Eden would want him to do, not even close. His furious state of mind still had a death grip on him, and his eye was still as black as before.

He said nothing, but glanced around the corner, looking for the one that was chasing the girl. He saw nothing, and then turned back to the girl with an expressionless face.

Peter walked around the corner slowly his arms crossed, his eye's indifferent unsurprised by Veroen's appearance..

"Peace Veroen... The man has made contact with a team of some kind. We are not the only one's in these alleyways. The man has prepared for us, or at least for Amber here. I am under the assumption that he did not expect a second, though by his actions, he does not see that as a fault to his plan.. and for a third. Well Veroen I'll assume he isn't expecting anything like you.. that is of course, if you decide to assist us."

Inside Peter was screaming at the voice he had given his body over to for the time being.
'Leave Veroen out of this little battle, Suggest to him meeting up with Eden. He is still in rage, you see it as easily as I do.'

He has a hold of his rage, he has the true heart of an assassin... It's been a while since I've seen his brand of will. It's an inspiring trait to see amongst your creatures.

Veroen turned at Peters presence in the alleyway. He slightly clenched his fist, but made no move, nor any expression on his face. He simply stared at Peter, remembering him from when they had a meal together with Eden.

He said nothing, except looked around the corner again. Nothing. Odd. If what Peter said were true, then Veroen would see them by now...

Veroen turned back to Peter, and spoke in a deep voice, his eye still blackened by anger.

"Assist you? With what exactly. This is not my problem. My problem is the Coven and their Elders."

He turned back around, scanning quietly for anyone that Peter spoke of, any men, or lackeys.

"They ARE the coven. I discovered some information about a plot called 'Poseidon' and now a coven vampire is pursuing me. If Peter is right, he has backup," Amber explained. She righted herself and her weaponry, before turning to face the other side of the street. She braced herself against a wall, lifting the firearm to fire at any vampire who would peek his head out.

Veroen's blackened eye narrowed at these words.

'Poseidon...' he thought to himself.

He stared at the two of them, thinking this out in his head.

"Tell me more of this plot called, 'Poseidon'."

Is all he said. He would consider it, but this intrigued him. Anything that he could do to bring down the Coven was worth his time.

Veroen heard footsteps in the distance. Having Vampiric senses mixed with heightened Assassin senses gave him a very nice advantage. He glanced behind him, curious to who it would be. Not anyone good, no doubt.

He did not wait for Amber to answer him, but instead said something else, in his deep voice, tainted by his anger.

"We shall discuss this later. Move."

With those words, he jumped in one quick motion, again landing on the rather tall fire escape. This time for sure, it was not an ally. He would not put himself out as a target, at least not yet. Whomever it was, if they were an enemy, Veroen would peel the skin from their bones.

Right now would most likely be the worst time to confront Veroen. He had barely any self control, and if some fool attacked him, they would surely pay the consequences of it from a very pissed skilled assassin.

((Blarg. Why'd ya post while I was postin'! And I was gonna come all nice and gentle...))

The sound of gunfire echoed into the streets outside the alley. Those who heard the roar of the semiautomatic rifle ran for safety. Those who were residence of New York and knew better, continued with their own issues, knowing that the shooting occurred within the alleys and away from the streets. Marcus continued to smile as he followed the gun fire, slowing down significantly as he reached the mouth of the alleyway the shooting was heard. Holding his pistol in both hands and his breathing slowing down to calm his heart, Marcus switched on his Hunter side and readied himself for whatever lied in wait.

In one fluid motion, Marcus flipped the safety off, raised the gun forward and crouched into the closest cover he could find within the alley, which was a large dingy green dumpster. Keeping his eyes forward and senses open to everything about him, the dark haired Hunter kept his weapon pointed to the alley before him. Realizing a twist further into the darkness, Marcus moved from his cover to against a building's wall to the edge of the turn. From there Marcus heard the voice of several folks, one of them being the Cyclops. Recalling the last time Marcus went around firing first before the questions asked, Marcus lowered his pistol, but his finger tightly wrapped around his trigger.

"Sounds like a ship." Marcus bellowed as he then went around the corner to reveal himself to the three, his pistol still lowered, but in plain sight. Glancing over to the other two, Marcus gave a loop-sided smile. Though instead of confronting the one eyed vampire, the Hunter met the sight of two very young adults, leading to Marcus to say a few choice words that the vampire ran off some more.

"Nothing to...er...worry about..." His voice began to trail off as he realized the automatic fire was from the woman and her weapon, causing Marcus to smile and study the two more closely. "You guys wouldn't happen to be Hunters, would ya? Lookin' for a Cyclops. Think he ran this way..." Tensing some, the dark haired man adjusted his grip on his pistol as his smile faded to a more stoic expression. If Hell was going to be unleashed soon, Marcus was ready.

(( LOL sorry mate. Thats Veroen for ya. :3 ))

Veroen watched as the boy from inside the club that he harassed for the sake of keeping his cover, came into view. Veroen's eye slightly narrowed at the word 'cyclops'. A nickname like that in Veroen's current mood was a bad mix.

He then jumped down right in front of Marcus, without drawing any weapons, but with a slight glare towards him. His entire eye was completely consumed by a darkness that could not be explained. It was clear that Veroen had been overcome by a great amount of fury by his facial expression. He restrained from grabbing the boy by the throat and ending his breath. It wasn't what Eden would want....

He simply stared deep into the boys eyes with his single eye. His eye patch matched the color of his trench coat, which slightly blew in the wind as he stood there.

Kerrigan was quick to follow Raven, though she took her own way. Knowing how cramped the streets of New York could be on any given night, she preferred to move though the rooftops - an unfortunate side effect of her few weeks of training with Astande. Her form was eerily graceful as she moved from one rooftop to the next, someitmes jumping, sometimes flipping, but always fluid. Her pale skin was almost a blue to those few high enough to see her, though by the time they usually recognized that something passed them she was already heading to the next rooftop. It might be cliche, but she liked the freedom.

The sounds of gunfire were soon heard, the dark-haired huntress catching sight of Raven from the corner of her eye as he turned into an alleyway where two humans (at least she gathered they were humans for the most part) were talking with their one-eyes friend before he leapt up onto a tell fire escape as an out to the two humans. Raven was the first to approach the pair, Kerrigan perching on the rooftop above them momentarily watching their "prey" with interested eyes. He was no longer acting like the pompous vampire she met in the club - he seemed aggravated to say the least, and if he was pissed at the Coven, then it might be a chance for the Hunters to make a new ally.

It was then that he dropped down, once more standing in front of Marcus in a rather intimidating way. The huntress wasted no time in slipping off the edge of the roof, knees bending into a crouched position as her boots made contact with the concrete below. It was a testament to the amount of time she spent in this city - she knew how far she had to fall and exactly when to bend her knees to avoid significant damage.

Tilting her head up as she stood, tossing her curls over her shoulder, she gave a small grin to all those present, eyes moving instantly back to Veroen as he stared at Raven.

"We just keep running into each other, don't we. I have to compliment you though - You certainly know how to make an exit," she said with a small, fanged smile in her own attempt to lighten the mood. Things were just too tense in this alleyway, and the more she thought about it, the more she figured she might be able to turn this into a business proposition. Fully straightened up once more, one hand graced her belted waist, the other running back through her hair. She didn't reach for her weapons - the last thing she wanted was for this to turn into some sort of shooting match. Sometimes hunting meant strategy instead of firepower...even if it was hard.

Marcus attempted to match the vampire's demonic glare, but had difficulty due to his opponent not having a pupil any more. This instead caused the Hunter to give off a silly grin on his face, a smirk that grew when some movement from behind the vampire caught his eyes. It wasn't long before Kerrigan addressed the angry one eyed vampire in a calm manner.

"She's right. Didn't know if you were gonna bring that crap into the streets." Marcus explained as he continued to lock eyes with the eye of the vampire. Seeing how the man was tense and probably fuming over the past turn of the events, Marcus decided to do something he usually would never risk doing: he holstered his pistol beneath his blue blazer.

"How about we talk. Seeing how one moment you were all 'silly humans, VIPs are for Vamps' to 'down with the Coven'. Oh yeah, I heard." Despite the fact the vampire had the power to tear Marcus limb from limb, this did not deter the Hunter from sounding smug as he gave a grunt and took a few steps back, giving some distance between him and the vampire. Glancing over to Kerrigan, Marcus smiled and gave her a wink.

"You just always know when to show up on time." He commented before focusing his attention back to the vampire. "But anyways, So what's the deal? Gonna go about tearin' more places apart or are we goin' to calm down? 'Cause I'd hate for this to turn hairy. I really would, especially it being my first night and all..."

Veroen heard Kerrigan creep down from the rooftops. Odd. He was literally just up there and he did not see her, nor sense her. He must have been too focused on Marcus to sense her... He would have to work on his over-concentration.

He did not turn at her, for he was slightly angry with the boy for the nickname, 'Cyclops', which did not set well with Veroen. In fact, he was struggling to not kill the boy at that very moment for it.

He listened to her speak, and in his anger at the comment about his exit that was thrown at him, he turned and smashed his fist into the wall, rather than Marcus' head, leaving a rather deep crater in the brick wall.

He gritted his teeth, and turned towards the both of them, revealing his now pitch black eye, that was consumed in shadow from his rage. Veroen had a slight connection to the Void, which came from him killing a rather powerful Void-using vampire long ago.

He growled as he spoke.

"You two would never understand. I just wish to be left alone, or I will end up killing someone..."

Veroen was growing tired of people coming near him in his current state. He was dangerous to be around. Especially these two, who probably were going to give him s**t for the way he acted earlier in the club.

Kerrigan was glad to see that Raven holstered his pistol, mirroring her attempts to break through the various tensions in the alley. She seemed to secrete calmness from her very pores, hand remaining on her waist as the vampire turned and slammed his fist into the wall with a sudden outburst of anger. Her entire body remained unnaturally still despite the outburst, green eyes turning to the crater he made, one eyebrow raising before she turned her sights back on him.

"I know we haven't known each other long Raven, but you should know I like to make an entrance. Nothing wrong with it," she said with a small chuckle, her hand slipping from her waist as their vampire friend addressed her directly, the anger in his voice unmistakeable as pure rage. She had been there many times herself, though she was dangerous in other ways - even in that kind of state it was hard for her to punch craters in brick walls.

"Why is it everyone assumes I follow them to start trouble? Look, vampire or not, I'm not going to start anything with a pissed off vamp who just took out 3 trained soldiers standing guard outside a Coven hotspot. I know I look young, but give me some credit," she responded, tossing her raven curls over her shoulder as her eyes remained locked on the vampire before her. The void burning in the depths of his eyes was disconcerting, even to her, but she was not going to show any weakness. The moment he thought he was in control of the situation was when her role here would be useless.

"I...we, just came to talk. Find out what it is that's ailing you and see if the Hunters can be of any assistance. You know, the whole the enemy of my enemy is my friend kind of deal. Trust me, shunning the world and all it has to offer is not the way to deal with rage." The sooner everyone realized that she wasn't always out to start a fight, the better. It was getting a little tiresome having to constantly defend herself when her intentions were entirely noble. Even though she was young for their race, she knew a lot about emotional turmoil, and how to deal with it. The best thing she could think of for him was to deal with his issues, and if they were with the Coven, then they shared a common goal.

Marcus flinched slightly as the fist flew past him to a brick wall nearby, pieces of debris flying at him. Marcus's face quickly turned to a stoic expression at the display of the vampiric strength. If this was California, Marcus would of long ago picked up his heavy artillery and unleash Hell upon the single eye vampire from a safe distance. But from what his first night in New York has taught him, not all monsters are monsters. He glanced over to Kerrigan at that thought before looking once more at the vampire with the dark eye.

"She's right. If you haven't figured out yet, that's why we're here. To make sure you don't go doing something you'll regret later..." Marcus replied in a cool and emotionless tone, his playfulness disappearing as he stared at the man. This was a serious situation and man with this much power losing control due to emotional issues was a very big problem, at least that's how Marcus saw it.

"What's your name? Mine's Raven. The beauty behind you is Kerrigan." The Hunter then asked, wishing to address the man by his proper name instead of using his nickname "Cyclops". In times like this, tact was a more powerful tool than the highest caliber weapon.

Veroen unclenched his teeth once he realized that the female on was done dropping insults or comments. In fact, it seemed as though she was being a little nice. He listened to her speak, with a frown upon his face.

Then it clicked. He remembered where he knew her name from. She left the Coven long ago, and went to the Hunters. He had even been told to keep an eye out for her and to kill her on sight a few different times by Alasdair long ago.

Veroen shook his head slightly, anger still apparent on his face.

"It is of no concern to you what has happened to me. I know I have a place at your haven, for your leader, Eden, is the love of my life, and I have been offered many times to come over to the hunters, but I was still wrapped around the Covens deceitful finger."

He gritted his teeth again at the thought of what he read on that computer screen deep into the VIP section of Las Noches.

He slightly turned to Marcus, with a cocked eyebrow. He turned his head slightly, letting out a long, deep sigh.

"I am known as Veroen."
was all he said.

Anger still had brought out the Void within him, that feasted off of his rage, and made it difficult for him to control himself. However, it was beginning to very, very slowly subside.

He would kill Alasdair and Rogue if he ever got his hands on them again....

His thoughts always seemed to return to the Coven and how they lied and cheated him out of every single piece of happiness he once had. Of course, other than the happiness that came from Edith.

He shook his head again, letting out another sigh, as he turned away from them both, rubbing the back of his head in a stressful motion.

He was then silent.

((Wat? 8 hours of what class? That's ridiculous lol I'll excuse you this time. Next time, spankings will be issued out by the penguins and bananas...))

A brief smile flashed on Marcus's face as he saw that Veroen was beginning to calm slightly. Though his eyes were still totally black, his tone and stature was improving. Watching him move away from them and rub the back of his head, Marcus walked closer to Kerrigan without loosing sight of the vampire.

"He's datin' Eden?" He asked, somewhat amused at how this Hunter group was ran. This was definitely not the West side. Crossing his arms over his chest, Marcus observed the vampire in silence for a bit before speaking again.

"You know, Veroen, I'm sure you are over a hundred years old. And for someone being that old, I'm a bit surprised you would still let your emotion get the best of you like this. If you want to bring the Coven down and get your revenge, a cool head and steady hands often get the job done right...as well as a little help every now and again."
