There is a difference between nationalism and culture.

Nationalism is mostly baseless, while culture appreciation is grounded in the real.

To mix the two up is folly-ish.

I've always believed nationalism was pretty much overt pride in your country that gets to the point where you believe your country is superior to others.

Well, I'm sorry.

I've been feeling a little depressed as of late and criticisms don't do much to help it. I just think about all the problems in the world. 9-11, terrorists, recession, bigotry, even the Polish incident you yourself made me aware of. It hurts me to know the world is like this and I just get angry at myself for being unable to think of any way, original or otherwise, to stop it.

I really shouldn't take it out on you or anyone else.

I've been trying to do more research on debates, but not much. Hopefully reports we have to do in CST 101 will help that.
