Andross sort of reminds me of Unknown from Melee. Except that he doesn't come from off screen at an angle.

Star Fox (SNES) is actually on the top of my list to find at the Sunday Fleamarket, so this made me laugh.

And whoa, I almost missed the double update there.

Awesome. the need to actually do Meta Knight's update.

I just decided who I wanted to be in this game

Either Juste or Simon Belmont from Castlevania.

Or any of the others xd I'm not fussed it's just I like Simon and Juste the best.

I believe updating him in this way, they don't have to reveal any real pieces of information about him. I'm sure if his update came up, it would be pretty bare-bones, because he might possibly have a large piece in the storyline.

Looking at his update once more, I've got some things to say. The Mach Tornado is going to be sweet. I remember that attack from Superstar. The triple dash has me a bit curious. Does it make you dash three times, or can you do it three times in succession quickly? His special up is a 'shuttle loop.' In the picture, he goes up at a curve, and since it's called a look, I imagine he'll really go in a loop. That's so cool. crying The dimensional cape is the most interesting, though. At first, I'd think it would merely block attacks, but the shield already does that. So I'm wondering if it's going to be like Mario's cape, and reflect attacks. If it is, I have found a definite character to use, because Lucas and Duck both play as Samus. XD

The end of the update speaks about charging the attacks, which just sounds really awesome. Larger fireballs for Mario, larger shots for Fox, charging your recovery attacks for that right moment, and so on. It also has me wondering if they'll act differently in the air.

Andross looks pretty cool, I wonder if he replaces the unknown in Pokeballs?
And then I almost missed the double update.....
META KNIGHT! =D Yay, Meta Knight looks awesome. His regular B move reminds me of Link's up B. His up B reminds me of Kirby's. Anyone else notice his wings come out during his side B? Now his down B I expect to either be like Mario's cape or entirely different, making projectile pass through him or making him intangible or something along those lines.

I think that they meant that you charge for certain moves, not all of them.

Perhaps, perhaps not. There could also be tilt special attacks.

Wow, it's almost like three updates in one!

Andross as an assist trophy is awesome. And FINALLY we get to see some information about Meta-Knight. I love that he can use that invisible-cape technique that he demonstrated in the original teaser. biggrin

I second that, I guess they're taking him back to his roots lol. At first, I thought he would be a boss character, but this is still cool.

MetaKnight looks sick too, he may be my character of choice rather than Pit

@Draken: yeah, I've wanted Simon Belmont in their since I heard there'd be third-party characters (I luv Castlevania). I already thought about his moves, too:

The shuttle loop was actually a move in Superstar, remember? Wing kirby used, knock the enemy into the air and hit them with a loop in the air. I freaking loved that attack. The Mach Tornado as well is freaking sweet, an MK classic. Bringing back the original techniques is perhaps the best thing they could have done for the game (next to putting Meta Knight in to begin with) mrgreen

Great update. I haven't played much Star Fox, but I do remember Andross from the Melee trophy. He looks just like the trophy. Him as an item is a cool idea, and I don't think they'll replace the Unknown. I don't think Sakurai minds if some items are similar to others. It's the fact that there's so many characters that they can fit in, in different ways.
After all, Superspicy Curry is basically like the Fire Flower but better.
