Angel quickly made it into the academy planning on making it out in a few days. He was not really interested in learning the techniques here as soon as possible, but it would be a plus. Moving through the streets he smiled. Everyone here was so young, their lives were forfeit to the world. He had been alive for over one hundred years and he knew that compared to that, the average life, especially the average life was a drop in the bucket. The average age of usefulness was even less. Still it was always good to know how long you had in this world. That was something that he would trade immortality for.
Lucian made his way to the academy. He was dressed quite scruffily if he had to say so himself. However, that was the cost of his disease. Still, it was always good to have something like it in a fight. He was stronger, faster and smarter than the average person. That gave him an edge that he looked forward to exploiting at every field of battle. Looking around he sighed. The youth around him made him feel older than he was, though he was far older than them to say the least. Looking around he searched for the classroom. He did not feel the need to talk to the kids. Not at this particular moment.

Luckily, Honehime hadn't heard Echidna's first pronouncement, she was too focused on putting some distance between them and the engrossed lovers. So she carefully set down her bags at the edge of camp, hoping the others would come to their senses soon and be able to take care of things. She looked to Echidna, to see she had done the same, and made to move away from camp, to st out for the training she was about to receive. Her eyes widened a little and she blushed when Echidna spoke again, having been able to hear her just fine this time. "Umm, yeah, it was... really something." She appeared embarrassed and lowered her head, nudging the point of one foot into the ground. She was trying her hardest not to recall the vivid scene, but it was proving a very difficult task. (23839 words + 144 words = 23983 words) Lieselotte frowned as the two fighters disappeared from sight in a grapple on the forest floor. She moved closer, but not too close, not wanting to get caught up in the middle of it, where she couldn't use range to her advantage. Elfriede stayed at her side, ready to leap into the fray at a moment's notice. for now, though, it seemed there was little either of them could do. Sakazuki would have to try to handle this herself. That being said, if things looked like they were going to go south for the Circe, Lieselotte would jump in, to at least create an opportunity for them to try to get away. Ranged combat was her strength, but she did have some melee moves, as well as a few moves that could work pretty well at delaying or distracting an enemy. Hopefully if it came down to it, they would be able to get away safely. (20269 words + 158 words = 20427 words) Mei was panting heavily as she lay atop the others, her mind still not quite in command of her body. The sensations had simply been too much for her, she had lost control, just like the other time. It wasn't certain if she would possibly be able to remember this time or not, though. A moment later, with a good degree of sliding and rubbing, the lamb girl emerged from between the two curvy bodies. She seemed immensely pleased with herself, and spent a few moments simply admiring her handiwork. Then she noticed she was messy, and began cleaning herself off, much in the way a cat would. Slowly licking each finger to remove the wetness upon it, savoring the taste as she moved from one digit to the other. She made sure to be in a good spot for either of the others to enjoy the show she was putting on. (26662 words + 153 words = 26815 words) Zenia tightened her grip around Sakazuki's middle, squeezing tightly. She felt several blows hammer at her ribs and tried to endure the pain. With both of her arms occupied, there was little she could do to fend off the strikes. Luckily Sakazuki's arms were pinned to her sides, so she couldn't really wind a punch up or anything. Even so, the blows did hurt, enough that she knew she'd be sporting several more bruises in the morning. That wasn't going to make her stop just yet, though. She tightened her grip again, and tried to roll over, to forcefully slam Sakazuki into the ground even while holding her as she was. It would hurt her arms a little, too, since they were under the Circe, but it was worth the risk. This fight had already gone of for far too long, if there wasn't a clear victor soon... (6534 words + 154 words = 6688 words) The smile never left Melona's face as she watched Menace finish up her shower, standing under the hot running water as she washed away the suds and lather. Melona's eyes never left her partner's body, running up and down it eagerly, as if each curve was a new treasure to her eyes. This, combined with the slight but insistent sensation she was receiving from the water running over the Imhotep's body, was enough to make Melona extremely happy and satisfied, although she hid her reaction well. Barely a shudder and jiggle, with her eyes tightly closing for a moment as she felt the sensation flash through her entire form. When she opened her eyes again, it looked like Menace was just about done. That was good, she didn't know how much longer she could have lasted without jumping her otherwise. Even with her release, she still would have been ready for more. (9153 words + 157 words = 9310 words) Alice shook her head as she began to move away from the village. It wasn't very far now, they could get there in just a few moments. As they walked, she talked a little, admitting she couldn't see her bag yet, but that was because the glade wasn't in sight either." Soon, trees had settled in around them, all but hiding the village behind them. It wouldn't be very difficult to find their way back, though, unless something interfered. The birds were chirping, and a rabbit hopped energetically across their path, clearly startled by their approach. Alice eyed it hungrily, but then remembered that she would be learning how to cook properly, and hopefully that meant that she could be a bit more picky about what animals she tried to catch for food. rabbits would still be on the menu, of course. (9672 words + 146 words = 9818 words) Haku turned her gaze to Miku as the green haired girl seemed to whimper and slouch forward, acting for all the world like a scolded puppy. She felt bad for her, not used to seeing Miku anything less than almost painfully energetic. Awkwardly, she placed a hand on her shoulder, but couldn't think of what to say. Usually, it was the others trying to cheer her up, not the other way around! She didn't blame Neru, after all, this was their rivalry, and she knew that Neru didn't out and out hate Miku. She just seemed not too fond of certain parts of her personality, like her near infectious energy and cheerfulness. Which now seemed to have finally met it's match. As their drinks were set down in front of each of them, Haku's chamomile tea set temporarily forgotten, steam rising from it's surface to waft into the air along with it's scent. Haku gave Miku's shoulder a slight shake, and leaned forward to whisper into her ear. She didn't dare speak out loud, in case the waiter was still close enough to hear. "Ummm... Miku... your drink is here, so... try to cheer up..." For an effort to try cheering someone up, it fell far short of the standard, but for Haku, it was probably one of her better efforts. She wasn't even crying! (4132 words + 235 words = 4367 words) Overall, V-13 was a failure of a soldier. She didn't fight well, she lacked discipline, her marks were abysmal and she showed little desire or capability for improvement. Even so, there were a few soldierly things that she did well. Things that had been drilled into her from the very beginning, things that even she had been able to learn. One of those things was the simple act of saluting. Whenever anyone called your name, or even your identity number, you immediately jumped to attention. Especially if it was someone you didn't know. So the instant that her name was called out, V-13 immediately leaped to her feet and snapped into a military grade salute, arm held at precisely the right angle, legs locked in place, back ramrod straight. She held this position, and would continue to hold this position, until told otherwise by the one she was saluting. She had her eye raised to a point just a short distance above Panzerkampfwagen's face, an invisible spot that had borne the receiving end of thousands of fixed stares. Sometimes she wondered if all of that staring might not one day simply burn a hole through the prefabricated concrete wall. But never during her salutes. No, she wasn't quite foolish enough to daydream directly in front of a possible and very likely superior officer. Superior in both rank and ability, of course. She wondered if this newest face was another in the long line of attempts to get her to shape up, to clean up her act and knuckle down, to finally show some improvement in her military career. It wasn't that she didn't want to, but she simply had these ideas and she couldn't get rid of them so easily. (544 words + 299 words = 843 words) Etheldreda did it! She was finally free of that accursed library, with it's stifling walls and oppressive rules! Free from the shelves that were never touched, the powerful books that were never read, the wise elders who never thought! Free of it all! For a time, she considered simply staying free, held aloft high in the air by her own power, appearing as a mere speck to those humans trapped on the ground. Oh how she envied them. Yes, she possessed a great and terrible power. But she was far from free. Even now, escaped from those hellish shelves, she was still bound by oppressive rules and codes of conduct. If she wasn't relying on the magical energy of her prison, then she needed to find someone to serve as her Mage. At this point, she didn't really care who. Someone worthy, that was all she needed. She opened her eyes a little wider, senses stretching out to look for anyone with even a shred of magical talent. Outside of the direction she had just come from, there weren't very many at all. A flicker here and there, but those were nothing more than the last feeble guttering of a waxy candle. Then she noticed it. A magical talent, held back but shining brightly! whoever it was, they were in the midst of a struggle of some kind. She halted her flight, focusing her senses down more to find the location of this spark. Could this be the one? (343 words + 253 words = 596 words) Dizzy had perched herself upon a large flat rock. It was one of her favored places to simply lounge for hours at a time, sunbathing like a lizard. There was a particularly strong beam of sunlight that managed to slip through the trees' outstretched branches to shine down upon this very stone. So it remained a popular basking place, not just to the young Gear, but also to many of the wild animals of the forest. The aforementioned lizards, of course, as well as snakes and other reptiles, naturally. But also some mammals. And within this glide, those animals' natural enmity seemed to be held within check. Outside of this glade, the prey returned to being prey, and the predators retained their titles of predators. But within the glade, all of that was set aside, in the interest of simple peace and tranquility. Dizzy leaned back, her face upturned to the warm sun, and sighed. It was a peaceful life, it was everything she wanted. What more could she ask for? Fate threw her a curve ball in the answer of that question, namely, an intruder. It was the rabbits and other smaller herbivores who noticed first, scampering off all of a sudden. Then, some of the other animals slunk or slithered off. Finally, Dizzy was alone in the glade. She looked around and shivered, somehow, suddenly being alone was terribly frightening. She got up from the no longer warm rock and crept forward, hiding behind a tree as she looked out into the forest. She held back a gasp when she saw a human wandering not too far away, and wondered just how in the world they had even gotten this close to the glade. (363 words = 286 words = 649 words)

Raika cringed seeing those strings his suspicions confirmed, it made his stomach, hurt his eyes clouded over with images of a wasteland filled with broken and eroding golden statues. A bloody testament to a pointless act of violence of the past. "Filth," he turned away his lip curling and a low growl emanating from his throat. He had to control himself, he couldn't let his hate get the best of him, that wouldn't lead to anything productive, it would make him feel better, but short of that it wouldn't do anything, but cause problems. He wasn't paying attention to the direction he was heading in, just walking through the underbrush without heed. His rage cooled as a extremely strange scent assaulted his nose, it was offensive and yet alluring at the same time... needless to say it was a scent that he'd never sampled before, so it intrigued him to some degree. He corrected his course to follow the strange smell, sweeping his cloak back as it was becoming to heavy and warm for him in the forest. The cool air of the forest felt refreshing on his bare arms and the area of his chest not covered by his light vest. The crimson of his vest contrasting deeply with the stark white of his straight white pants and worn beige sandals. He simply followed his nose for a short while and that led him into a another clearing, occupied by another pair of females... bringing the count up to five women out in the depths of the forest. This time a woman wearing an older woman with a serious nature about her and a younger female with shockingly blue hair. The scent he was following clung lightly to their clothes as if they had investigated the smell as well. "Odd question, but do you two know what that scent is that's coming from over there? It's been bothering my nose for a few minutes now." he said pointing back towards the clearing with duo had just come from. He observed Honehime and Echidna with a great deal less caution then he had taken when around the girl from sand and her other friends. His long ears stood at attention the left one twitching every now and again, he could almost hear people moving around at the edge of his range of hearing, maybe the scent was coming from those people out there? Just how many females were out training in this forest?!

Hatsune Miku tried he best not to smile as Haku comforted her she turned her head towards Haku so that Neru wouldn't see the slightl smile and a wink from Miku. She whispered quietly in a tone that sounded sad in a way so Neru wouldn't really be able to make out what she was saying. "I'm not really sad, Haku Onee-chan. I'm just pretending to be so that way Neru Onee-chan will be happy. See? She's grinning so happily right now because she thinks that I'm sad." Yes, Miku could in fact be quite the sneaky little devil, but it was all for the sake of her friends' happiness. She sat up a little, putting the pout back on her face before picking up the peppermint tea and sipping on it a little, keeping quiet for Neru's sake.

Sakazuki felt her world flip and soon she was the one with her back to the floor, facing the sky. Briefly, the witch was dazed from the sudden movement, but soon realization hit. s**t. The bottom was a bad place to be, even for a skilled fighter. However, she soon seemed to focus her wait onto her back, which as silly as it sounded, was a crucial attempt to keep Zenia from being able to pull her hands free from beneath her. Even if she remained caught in the hold, like hell was he going to give Zenia the opportunity to free herself then smash the Circe's face in. Meanwhile, her legs flayed, knees hoping to somehow collide with the spine of her opponent. === Slowly, the Mayonaka sat up, her chest still heaving as she attempted to gather her breath. Twice within what seemed to be a two hour period had she fallen prey to the wiles of Lust... Oooh, what a tempting sin it was. She turned to look towards the Pokegirl who was once again treating her to quite a show... Though rather than using food as a substitute, she had the genuine, sticky article between her fingers now as she took that too, into her mouth. This girl... Really was a seductive child. She soon looked to Mei, hoping to confirm her current status as well. === And so they marched on into the forest, Airi herself eying the many delicacies that they crossed paths with. Even if she was used to making and cooking actual courses, not even she could deny that when done properly, even the simple fuzzy wuzzy bunny could make a delicious meal, despite being just a small one. She sighed quietly. Perhaps when they got to the cooking lessons, she'd have Alice hunt down a few for practice. After all, the girl would most definitely need to learn how to cook while in the wild too. === When Menace was done, she stepped back, away from the majority of the showering water before eventually, did she exit the bathtub all together, a dainty foot touching the ground as soon another followed. Rather than keeping her wet from falling due to a loss of balance, the Imohtep's arms were already preoccupied, with one stretched downwards so that they covered that precious area while another moved to cover her breasts... A job which it only halfheartedly fulfilled. "It's... Your turn, Melona." While yes, she had allowed that slimegirl to touch her and gaze upon her with little shame before, after that incident, the Imohtep couldn't help but feel rather... Cautious? Yes. That was the word. === "I haven't seen something like that in quite a while," Echidna added shortly with a quiet nod, seemingly treated the event as one of those things that it was just good to do or see every once in a while, like taking a vacation or something along those lines. Still, she had to push that image out of her mind as she now had a girl that she had to get to training... Though, where to start, was as good a question as any other. She looked at her pupil, then motioned for her to take a seat once they were a considerable distance away from the camp. "Do you have any fighting capabilities whatsoever?" She soon inquired, wishing for detail, as she chose their starting point... However, again, an obstacle arose as they were approached by a stranger, the Orochi blinking briefly at the sight of this... Male, she assumed, before her eyes darted towards Honehime. "Would you like to explain it to him?" === Neru watched as Miku turned to whisper something to Haku and a brief frown darted across her face. Secrets, or rather, secrets kept from her, were not things that Akita Neru were very fond of. She stared at Yowane Haku, debating on whether or not to pressure her white-haired kin for the answer... After all, the girl was quite fragile, it wouldn't take much to make her spill the beans, but... They were friends after all. Haku's mental state was something she cherished, thus, she would allow this one to slide as she took her drink, squeezing the lemon slices before making a grab for the sugar. === Pan entered the dormitory and looked around, smirking as if experiencing some mischievous memory of her own time in a barracks like this. She paused however, taking note of the fact that the bot whose name had been called was already to her feet, her posture forming the perfect salute. Well at least you can do that much... She thought silently before she took several step forwards, the artillery on her back causing every step to be accompanied by the sound of mobile, heavy metal. She stared at V-13 for several long moments, examining every inch of her mechanical make up (or at least that which was clear for her to see). She didn't appear to be as heavily armed as other clan members she had seen before; perhaps she was a model meant for close combat? Then again, it was usually those manner of androids that often received the highest marks during exercises such as the obstacle course, where as this one only seemed to receive only a fraction of that said score. Soon, she backed up one step, her silent examination complete. "So you're the problematic one, hm?" === Shouko's head darted this way, then that. She could here the startled sounds and the pitter-patter of nearly a dozen animal feet as the forest creatures all fled for the safety of their bushy hiding places. That, for a moment, made the Akimichi feel quite sad. If she was a hunter, yes, she could totally understand, but in her case, she was just a humble traveler and food connoisseur! Nothing evil about that! She frowned briefly as she arrived at the glade, walking right past the hidden Dizzy as she did so. Soon, she seated herself upon the rock that the woman in hiding had just inhabited as she let out a sigh, taking another brief rest, as if the scampering animals had stolen her cheeriness and replaced it with fatigue and guilt. But of course... There was a way to cure guilt! The Akimichi then stuffed a hand into her bag, withdrawing a slice of a simple sandwich as she nibbled on it. Though the food had been meant for the forest spirit, she wouldn't notice a single missing slice, would she?

Angel smiled, something weird for someone like him. He had caught a familiar scent. It was not the scent of a familiar body but something so much odder. Instead it was a familiar food. Nothing eastern but rather a western flavor. That was something quite random. He let the feeling pass as he set off about his buisness. He would have plenty of time to deal with the smell when the time came. Until then he was going to have to get down to business so that he could get out of the academy and set off on his new life.
Lucian did not wast too much time finding a class room to train in. The place was quite big, but for someone who was used to over sized castles this really was not much to deal with. He wondered what was in store for him in this new life. He was a killer for years, but this was going to be something new for him, something very new indeed. He looked around him and saw a large amount of kids. He sighed, this was going to be a long long time for him. He hated kids with a vengence so this was going to be torture for him.

"You've seen something like that before?!" Honehime asked, shocked. She thought something like that was like a meteor. No, an eclipse. Something very rare, and that you weren't supposed to look directly at it. She blushed and tried to forget it, instead following Echidna further away from her camp. The further they went, the calmer she felt, until finally, at about the same time that Echidna motioned for her to sit, she was just about back to her normal self. When she was asked if she had any fighting experience or training, she paused to think. Did self-training by running away from the wild beasts or fending off a drunken reveler count? That was pretty much the limit of her actual fighting experience, but she had practiced her bloodline abilities a bit more faithfully. "Umm, I have some minor experience." She had just finished speaking thus when Echidna spoke of a 'him'. She looked up, startled to see a stranger approaching. "Umm, wait, what? Explain it?" (23983 words + 169 words = 24152 words) Lieselotte moved a little closer, moving quietly from branch to branch of the tree she had hopped into, peering down at an angle to better see how the fight progressed. Even from this angle, she couldn't very well participate without risking hitting Sakazuki, so she was still forced to simply sit and watch. She couldn't help but feel a sympathetic ache in her back when Zenia slammed Sakazuki into the ground, that couldn't have been pleasant at all! She was surprised that the fight had gone on this long, all of Zenia's fights had only ever been brief, and especially brutal, affairs. This was something new, it was almost like neither of them were really trying to win, they seemed to be sparring, but with a sense of true danger behind it. She didn't understand, not one bit. Why would they fight so brutally if not to win? Was this fun? (20427 words + 156 words = 20583 words) The lamb girl flashed a saucy wink at Shuku, but didn't drag on her teasing session this time. Soon, she was more or less licked clean, aside from the especially hard to reach places. though she had cleaned herself that way, she wasn't a cat. Instead, she crawled over to Shuku, then crouched down next to her, smiling eagerly. "You are a mess, need some help cleaning up?" She licked her lips eagerly, showing exactly how she would help if given the chance. Meanwhile, when the two of them had gotten up, Mei had rolled over onto her back. Now she was sprawled out, spread eagled, arms and legs thrown wide, snoring softly. She had fallen asleep! Her shirt was still somewhere off to the side, and now her skirt was hiked up, and her panties were down around her knees. Quite a picture of wanton obliviousness! (26815 words + 149 words = 26964 words) Zenia frowned and growled lightly in the back of her throat. She still had a lock on Sakazuki's arms, but with their swapped positions, that meant she couldn't use her arms either. They were pinned under Sakazuki, and if she were to get them free, it would mean releasing Sakazuki's arms as well. And for the moment, that was unacceptable. She felt the Circe's legs lashing out, trying to get a good kick in, or something similar, but the angle seemed all wrong. She frowned in annoyance, this fight was proving to be very troublesome, and this wasn't even her true target. Was this, then, how Achenbach had been led astray? A devious and underhanded tactic. She needed to know, know what the connection between the two of them was. In a voice loud enough for Sakazuki to hear, but not for Lieselotte to, she asked. "Tell... me. Just what is... Achenbach to you?" (6688 words + 159 words = 6847 words) Melona watched as Menace finally finished her shower, and slipped out of the tub, dripping wet. She couldn't help but lick her lips at the tasty scene in front of her. Even with ehr arms blocking part of the view, Menace still had a body to kill for. When the Imhotep told her it was her turn, she shook her head lightly, her bunny ears waggling too and fro. "No need, your Highness. I'm already squeaky clean! Now, here, you should dry off." Suddenly, she was holding a fluffy towel, one that hadn't been there before. At the same time, the shower head finally stopped it's pouring water, and the entire affair began shrinking in on itself before it would squirm over to rejoin Melona's main body. She simply held the towel out patiently, her eyes idly wandering over Menace's charms at the same time. (9310 words + 151 words = 9461 words) Alice had thought some more on the rabbit they had seen, and spotted several other small animals moving through the forest. Most were moving away from them. After all, they were humans, basically, and they weren't exactly trying to be stealthy. She had caught a rabbit once before, but it had certainly been a challenge. Now, she had a whole different set of goals and challenges set before her, and she wasn't about to fail them, either! She looked around, and recognized a peculiar looking tree as one she had seen before, they were getting close! There's the tree that looks like an old geezer, we're almost there! And sure enough, they were. It was only a few more moments of walking through the woods before they would finally enter the glade. Until stepping inside of it, it would be hard to notice it, though not impossible. It was a simple but nice place, a field of flowers with a stream along one edge. A few trees to shed some shade, and a fallen log perched near a small bare spot in the ground, perfect for a campfire. "We're here!" (9818 words + 195 words = 10013 words) Haku's eyes widened at Miku's ruse, unable to keep the surprise off of her face. She was tricking her? For a moment, she wondered if that was being mean, but no, she couldn't see Miku doing anything mean even to her worst enemy, let alone to a friend like Neru. And her following words helped her see why. She nodded faintly, trying to follow the logic. It did make sense, but wouldn't Neru just get angry if she found out the truth? She wanted to make sure that didn't happen, but she was terrible with secrets. It didn't take much prodding for others to get her to crack, but at the least she never accidentally let loose a secret, she could take pride in that much at least. She looked up from Miku and for a moment met Neru's gaze and quickly looked away, knowing that if she had kept her gaze locked it would have taken barely a single question to get the truth out of her. Looking for a distraction, she quickly lifted up her mug of tea and took a sip, only to widen her eyes yet again as she began breathing in a little bit stronger than usual. It was hot! Not hot enough to hurt, of course, but hotter than she had expected. After a moment the near-pain left her tongue and she sighed, setting the mug down once more. With all three of them enjoying their drinks, she hoped that would have distracted Neru from the all too obvious secret, without wanting to find out the truth. (4367 words + 271 words = 4648 words) V-13 kept herself at attention all throughout Pan's inspection, not daring to even break her gaze from the spot on the wall. She had heard the horror stories of what befell those cocky enough to meet an instructor's gaze during inspection, and had no desire to experience those things for herself. She liked staying in one piece! That was something she actually wondered, was it the same for human soldiers? She doubted it, she had heard they weren't able to put themselves back together quite so easily. That must be such a bother! What happened if their arm came loose, did they just leave it like that, rather than unbolt it and tighten the connections before re-attaching it? But she still liked humans, and wanted to know more about them, to find out if she could even be one of them, someday. Her mind had wondered, so when Pan's inspection finally came to an end, it took V-13 a moment to catch up. Knowing the question wasn't a question at all, but a simple statement of fact, she held her salute tightly and answered in the affirmative. "Yup! I mean, SIR, YES SIR!" A faint blush rose to her cheeks, a peculiarity of the heating sinks under her epidermal layer shunting heat through the thin layers there rather than at the proper vents. It didn't actually cause any system malfunctions, so nothing had been done to fix it. She had tried to stop herself from speaking so casually, but it was too late. It was all over. Was she going to be dismantled and put back together backwards? Was she going to go without fresh oil for a month? She shuddered to think of anything worse than that. (843 words + 297 words = 1140 words) Etheldreda had narrowed down the location of the magical energy she had detected earlier. She didn't know much of the outside world, it had changed a great deal since the last time she had been free. Entire continents had shifted, rivers had widened or run dry, caverns had grown, or mountains had rose up out of the earth. It was almost like a new world, a new world created solely to herald her release. she liked that. She was still lazing about high overhead, now closing in on the Academy's demesne, when the clouds above started growing a little darker. Rain. She looked up, fearful for a moment until she remembered she wasn't a book, not for the moment at any rate. Even so, she didn't like the rain. She decided to delay her search for a Mage just a little bit, and find some place to seek shelter from the coming storm, first. The sad part was, it wasn't even that big of a rain storm, more like a small drizzle, barely enough to get the ground muddy. But enough for her. After all, when you lived life as a book, even a single water spot was one too many! So she arrowed down sharply, racing to beat the clouds, before she darted in an open window. Looking around, she didn't know whether to laugh or cry. The building had a library, apparently, she had just gone from one set of shelves to another! (596 words + 251 words = 847 words) The winged girl saw the stranger move closer and closer, soon walking into the very glade she was hiding in! How? The glade was supposed to be so far away from humans, protected by nature, that humans weren't even supposed to be able to find it! Or enter it, either! Well, the bad ones, at least. Then again, she didn't know if there were any good ones out there, was this a potential exception? She wasn't about to take that chance. Fighting back the urge to 'meep' with fear at the near brush with being spotted, she tried to circle around her tree, to keep an eye on the Akimichi while still keeping herself hidden. The girl moved to the large flat rock and settled down, pulling out a sandwich to munch on. Dizzy frowned in curiosity, the girl didn't seem like a bad person, but what if it was a trick? Evil humans were supposed to be wily and crafty, weren't they? She shifted to get a better look, and her eyes widened in horror as she stepped on a branch, making an audible snap that would instantly alert the stranger to her location. She froze, like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming truck, unable to move. (649 words = 216 words = 865 words)

Tama & Melissa That Tama sure is something else. He has that cute little Melissa-chan following him around where ever he goes. It’s like he’s some sort of babe magnet. The other girls are getting jealous. They want a piece of him too. “Ladies, ladies. Please don’t fight. There’s enough Tama for everyone-”
“Tama-sama, we are alone and are supposed to be quietly traveling through this area.”
“Aw Melissa-chan, that was one illusion I didn’t want you to inform me wasn’t real. There were so many lovely ladies around. They all wanted nothing more than to be with me forever. They wouldn’t care if I were to marry them all. So long as they had a small part of my heart,” I state. I laugh loudly as Melissa sighs. Melissa and I had been planning to go to Konoha’s Ninja Academy for a little training in the ninja arts. We specialize mostly in using masks since we are from Hidden Mask and all but wanted to broaden our horizon. Rather than go straight to class for registration and whatnot I wanted to roam the area. Melissa examines the various documents in her hands as I stop. I place a hand to my head and shake it back and forth. I clutch the brown mask I always wear in my other hand and sigh. “Melissa-chan,” I ask and she stops too.
“Yes Tama-sama?”
“What exactly… never mind.”
“Yes Tama-sama.” I wanted to ask her what exactly she thought we were. She’s always so proper and respectful to me. She doesn’t need to be. I may be older than her by many years and even look far older than her but I think of her as my higher up. I think of her as a big sister. No, that’s a lie. I would never think of Melissa as a sister; because it is wrong to have certain feelings towards your sister. Sometimes I gaze at her wishing that she weren’t simply a mask but a woman. I can think of her as a woman all I want to but that won’t make her one. I sigh once more before turning abruptly to face her. I gaze into her almost emotionless eyes in wonder. She was surprised at me suddenly doing this but not so surprised. Perhaps she could become human.
Finally, after getting my fill of exploring we head to the Academy. As soon as we enter the school the scene changes. It was no longer a school but a huge castle. The students look like peasants while the teachers look like royalty. Melissa strolls ahead of me and my heart literally stops. She is so beautiful. She has this gorgeous pin up and is wearing a red, gold and white dress. My favorite colors. The dress fits her every curve above her waist and then fans out. A puffy dress. Melissa likes puffy things when it comes to clothes. I see her eye certain attire in the marketplace. But I have only enough money to provide minimal nutrition for myself and protection for us both. If I could then I would buy her what she wished. She’s the only person in the world left for me. Everyone else is dead. My mom, my dad, my brother, my sister, my best friend… my girlfriend… Everyone I loved or would grow to love was dead but Melissa. I haven’t had her long but she’s been in my imaginings since before I can remember. Or maybe those weren’t imaginings. All I know is that three years ago she made herself real to me for the first time. She saved me when I was trapped in the intense illusions of my mind. No, not the cliff thing. It was another time. I was in the middle of a battle, which is never good, and they launched a genjutsu on me. When it comes to genjutsu I am easily trapped in them. This genjutsu was one from Hidden Void, I believe. Down to the Depths or something. It was as if I were drowning. And since I take genjutsu well and they affect me very badly I really started to drown, so to say. I was drowning without water. Just when things were getting bad she came and ended the genjutsu. The brown mask, the very one that I always wear, was given to me as soon as I was diagnosed with such delusions and she was able to stop the genjutsu by using it. Maybe she is connected to the mask since she herself is a mask. Or maybe she was always there for me. But I can only go by three years ago. Anything before that was uncertain. I can’t believe what I see but since that day I believed in her. I had to. My delusions were far better than facing the reality that everyone was dead. I feel like, if she weren’t here, that I would be in my own personal Hell. “Tama-sama,” she states as my castle fades away.
“I will get you a puffy dress the next time I come into large currency, Melissa-chan.”
“That is all right.”
“No. Please allow me to buy you the dress of your dreams when I get some money.”
“Is that an order?”
“Melissa-chan…” She gazes at me as I do her. “Will you treat me like Tama-kun and not Tama-sama? Ask me for things sometimes. Tell me what you want of me when you want something. I’m not over you or anything-”
“But you are, Tama-sa-”
“If you cared then you’d just call me Tama-kun.”
“I am here to serve you.” I stare at her in total and complete astonishment. The beautiful woman that I saw to be Melissa was no more than a human puppet in my eyes now. This is not an illusion I want.
“Do not be that way, Melissa-chan. I am not.”
“I do not wish to disagree with you, Tama-sama, but you are.”
“I am not!”
“Tama-sama…”
“Tama-KUN! Stop this Melissa!” She does not respond. She just stares at me with puppet eyes. I could hear her joint creak when she moved and it caused me a deal of pain. She thought of herself as a tool. I hate when she does this. She is my Melissa-chan and no mask, no puppet. She is as human as I am. Can’t she see that? I notice the papers clutched in her arms a moment before she loosens her grip. I had startled her. She might try and pretend I hadn’t but I could tell. “Melissa-chan… I…”
“We must go. The classes are ending and the halls will become crowded.” She turns and begins walking. All the while her joints creel and I hear the sound of scraping wood. I can also hear the tousle of broken fragments of glass. Was it my, or her, glass heart that had shattered?
We did the necessary paper work and were soon registered for school. Due to my ‘situation’ she was permitted to be in each and every one of my classes. We thanked the head of the school and left in silence. We wander out of the building and into the forest. I could hear the sound of Melissa dragging her feet slightly. Her joints cracking and creaking; her wooden body scraping together; the sound of shattered bits of a glass heart all sound in my ears. Slowly my head begins throbbing. This illusion would not pass until Melissa admitted to me that she was not a puppet, a tool… a mask but a woman. I stop and so does she. I turn my head to look at her only to see a crazed puppet instead of Melissa. I cry out and stumble backwards. I trip and fall to the ground as the puppet grins wider and grows nearer. “M-Melissa-chan… the puppet… it’s… it’s trying to kill me!” The puppet stops and I suddenly see it was just puppet illusion Melissa. I called her a puppet out loud. That couldn’t possibly help the situation. I turn my head from her vaguely concerned face and toss my head around. I’m so sick of seeing these things. I don’t want to see puppet Melissa or even that crazed puppet Melissa. I don’t even care to see her in those beautiful dresses when I imagine a castle, a kingdom, or even a Japanese New Years party. I just want to see Melissa. I don’t want to blurt out a puppet is killing me only to find that it was Melissa. I want her to believe she is human like I do. But I can’t when I call her a puppet. A killer puppet at that. “Forgive me… Melissa-chan.” She extends a hand to me but I do not take it. “You deserve better than me-”
“That is not true Tama-sama.”
“You deserve someone who can make you feel as human as you are.”
“I am a mask-”
“You are human! More human than many men and women! You deserve puffy dresses and pretty hairstyles! You deserve someone that doesn’t always freak out and call you a crazy killer puppet! You deserve someone who will make you happy and I’m not that person!”
“Tama-sama?”
“This… is an order. I want you… to leave me… and never come back.”
“Tama-” she begins to almost cry out but I place a finger to her lips. That made things all the more harder. Her delicate lips weren’t hard like a wooden puppet’s or a mask’s but soft and subtle like a human’s. I pull my finger away and point away from me.
“I gave you an order. If you are here to serve me then you’ll do as I say. Leave me and never return. Go and find yourself happiness.”
She stares at me with eyes that seem wet but I can’t be sure. She shakes her head a little but replies as if she was unaffected, “Yes Tama-sama.” With that she stands and turns from me. Slowly she makes her way towards the mouth of the forest. I clasp a hand over my chest as I watch her tiny frame slink out of sight. The only person left from my past was gone. Without a past there is no future. Words = 1,709

"Hey Beelzebub how's that devil set aside for you doing?" Amon asked, chuckling and rolling his eyes. The third of the Trio that had entered the Shinobi Academy reached forward, ruffling the blood colored hair of the redheaded Czernobog between himself and Beelzebub. The trio walked, the white haired Kaguya in front, the red headed Kisa in the middle, and the black haired Amon in the back. Beelzebub shot a lazy annoyed glance back at Amon shaking his head and sighing before smirking. It was his humor, nothing Beelzebub could do about and he had dealt with it for years. As they were walking Beelzebub looked over and was greeted by an amazing sight. Women, a good number of them, and one of them in an amazingly lewd position. He started to walk over there and stopped himself mid-step, sighing. He looked over at Amon, and then down at Czernobog quickly. Amon had noticed what Beelzebub did but luckily for both of them Zen hadn't seen a thing... he was so innocent. Beelzebub looked at Amon again, raising his eyebrows and caused to horn like protrusions to grow from his forehead, winking devilishly. Amon just looked at him shaking his head, of course he understood, hell he wanted it, but Beelzebub was the strongest, and the oldest... damn him. Amon sighed nodding and laying an arm over Czernobog's shoulder, leading him off to the side and starting to tell him random things off the top of his head, just enough to entertain the only innocent one of his group. Beelzebub touched a finger to his head in a mock salute and then turned, heading straight towards the women, stopping and crossing his arms to stare down at the sleeping woman. "Well, I think I'm liking this Academy so far." He said, looking up at the others around her. He ran a hand up through his hair and smirked. "So how are you liking it? he asked chuckling. Words: 327

Hatsune Miku smiled weakly, still trying to come off as sad. She really wasn't trying to make Neru mad, which was why she was trying to stay as quiet as she could be. She looked to Neru, knowing she might not be too happy. "What is wrong? I'm being quite, just like you asked..." She sipped her tea lightly, waiting for a response. If Neru mentioned the secret thing, then Miku would quickly say "I was just whining to Haku Onee-chan. Sorry." That kind of a response would most likely please the orange singer and put her in an even better mood.

Niyou I’ve never been so bored in my entire life. I sit on the cold dirt path that I often travel to get from Hidden Craftsman to the shoreline staring at two children playing. The young girl is Jay and the older, but still younger than me, boy is Dyu. They’re twins. They come from a weaker clan than that of the Persians. I don’t know where they came from but they both wield weapons and heal the sick. The eldest of all of our tribe, as I call it, says they hailed from a village most often referred to as the village hidden by the moons shadow. He always says things but I never truly believe what he says. I mean, he’s an old guy after all. He could have some sort of memory defect from old age or something. Then again, he identified my village without having seen or heard of the Persian Seal. It shows that I’m a true Persian and of the strongest household. But that’s all behind me now. For now I am just a member of this village and have no clan. Jay trips and falls as Dyu laughs. I shrug before slapping my hands against my thighs. I slowly bring myself to my feet and cross the few paces over to Jay. I watch her, tears welling up in her eyes, before lifting her up off of the ground. I hold her in my arms a moment, feeling some sense of sorrow for her, before I realize I’m not a gentle person. I can’t get attached. I set her down and give her one cold stare before turning to look at Dyu. I walk over to him and shove him. He hits the ground and begins to cry as Jay yells at me in some strange language. I fan a hand at her before motioning down the path to the docks. Why should I care if she’s angry at me for pushing him? I gave him what he gave her. Now they were even.
The bank is quiet and often times empty. The only noise is the waves crashing against the sides of the rigid rocks far out in the bay. There are a few boats that we have in the area but they are almost always stored away. No one really leaves from here so having them is just for those who may need to travel out for supplies or possibly extra training elsewhere. Not many boats drift in either. This place is most used for abandoning. So if anything we’d see a floating basket or a body rather than something so luxurious as a boat. The old man says I was brought by boat here. He says that a cloaked figure brought me. Sometimes I wonder if it was my mother or my father. The old man said that the person wore the cloak of something other than a Persian. It was a drab rag. Not even the poorest of Persian’s would have one let alone where one. He says that he was certain the person was from somewhere else. I gaze down at my hands atop my thighs and wonder how I would look in royal Persian attire. I stand, on the very edge of the bank, and examine myself in distain. I have this tan peasant sort of wardrobe. It’s tattered and resembles a dress aside from the gray shorts I have on underneath it, which you can barely see. I wear no shoes and that’s how I like it. I look scruffy and homely. If I were to dress like a royal Persian then I would have big retarded puffy pants, a shirt with razor sharp shoulder padding, tiny high heeled shoes, and a huge gay hairpiece. That’s how I see royal. I mean, I’ve never seen someone that really was royalty before. I just hear stories that villagers tell or random people that pass through our region. I guess I do sort of believe in the people of this village. They are maybe the only people who treat me the way I want to be treated.
I finally sat down after blacking out a minute then find myself bred with the scenery. The sky is growing darker and I should be getting back anyway. I stand from the bank then stop. I could feel something wrong. I turn back to the water to see someone drifting along the surface. I’m not the one who is supposed to fish people out so I turn and begin walking again. But something keeps stopping me from doing so. Aggravated, I turn back to the water to see nothing there. I mutter swears before I see the body emerge from the depths, arms flailing. Fine. I guess I can take time out of my busy schedule to save the drowning idiot. I tear away what shirt I had and stand on the bank with only my gray shorts. I swear to myself that if I lose my shorts that I’m going to be an a**hole for the rest of the week and then leap into the water. I swim far out when I feel the water around me grow violent. This isn’t normal. The sky is just fine and the sea near the bank and farther out is fine. Someone was messing with the water where this person was drowning. There has got to be some kind of jutsu on the water or something. Then, as I draw near, I realize what is happening. The person out at sea was ditched and left for dead. In case they were to survive whatever was supposed to kill them a jutsu would activate to attempt to finish the job. What the hell am I doing out here? I have no connection to this person so they should die and not me. Why am I trying to save them? I should have just left like I planned to. I shouldn’t have even tried to save them. As the water begins dragging me under, despite me being a great swimmer, I see the gaze of the drowning person. An eye that had an icy stare and that, honestly, turned me on. For the smallest fraction of a second I thought it was this person who was doing this but I found that it wasn’t. My head goes under and then bobs up to see a platform of ice. The person lay atop it half conscious as the water grows even more violent. I grapple onto the platform but find it hard to keep hold. My hands slip free only to be grabbed up by the drowning person… a girl. Words = 1,113

Niyou Platform after platform, save after save. We were out there for hours before someone came to save us. A cloaked figure walks across the water, stumbling now and then from the unsteady water, and motions over to us on the platform. The platform cracks and I brace to go back under when the wind picks up around me and the girl that had been drowning before; the one I assumed created the platform. The wind lifts us up slowly along with the cloaked figure before we all seem to levitate atop the water towards the bank. Finally the girl that had been drowning loses consciousness upon our arrival on the bank. I cough a few times as the cloaked figure crouches down beside me. I grab at the cloak covering her face only for the cloak to drift down to the ground. The cloak was empty? Then who saved us? I hear the cry of my people and the call of the old man and then notice a figure with long flowing hair, I can’t tell what color because I’m barely conscious now, starting to walk out to sea. The water slowly settles as the figure performs a number of hand signs. The whole of the bay turns to ice and then the figure is gone. I hear the old man say something about that being the woman that saved me before and I lose consciousness.
I crack open my eyes and gaze up at the array of faces around me: Dyu, Jay, old man, and others. I slowly sit up when I feel the cold hands of the old man on my shoulders. I look at him as he speaks, “You should rest a while longer. You have a high fever.”
“I feel fine, old man. I don’t like lying around… you know that.” My eye drift from him to the girl that lay unconscious a bed spread away from me. She seemed to be sleeping comfortably on the floor mat. Lucky for her.
“It is a good thing you were there to save her or else she would have died from hypothermia.”
“But I didn’t-”
“Don’t be modest.” I could tell the old man was trying to make me look like a hero. Why would he do that? Why should he care to tell the others that I wasn’t the one who saved that girl but the cloaked figure? I didn’t care to ask him so I just fan a hand.
“Can I sleep in peace then? You people are gawking at me and I can’t sleep.” Dyu and Jay laugh at me and I glower at them. They run off screaming as the others sigh and leave. The old man touches a hand to my forehead then shoots a burst of chakra into it. It sort of hurt but I said nothing.
“You shouldn’t be so cruel all the time, Niyou.” With that he leaves. I look to the girl that lay sleeping a while before I question her clan; what technique that had been used to make the water violent, how that ice platform came into creation, who that cloaked figure was, and if that figure had something to do with this girl may it be she who attacked her or just knew her. For now I only had answers this girl might provide. Any others I would have to track that figure down for. As I ponder she shifts on the ground. I watch her curiously before she curls up into a ball. I toss the covers from atop me and flash to my feet. I don’t know why I am so determined to go to her. I don’t know her. I have no feelings towards her. But I rush to her side. I watch her stare blankly out before her and place a hand on her shoulder. It was as if she couldn’t feel the action. I shake her but she continues staring before her with her back to me. I snatch her by the shoulder and lifts her up. I flip her around to face and me and glare into her cold, icy eyes. So hot. She outstretches her arms after five minutes and embraces me. I jolt in surprise but don’t pull away. What are you? WHO are you? Why are you embracing me when you don’t even know me? I finally get a grip and remember the type of guy I am and shove her away from me. She looks into my eyes with glossy eyes and I can easily push her away. Her cold stare was one that seemed to peer into my soul and cut me where I stood. It sort of paralyzed me. Her glossy eyes did not have the same effect. They were gentler and I wasn’t one for gentle, delicate moments. So it was easy to turn from her then. She touches my shoulder and I grab at her wrist. I turn back to snap at her only to freeze in place. Her eyes weren’t the icy ones I saw earlier and were still glossy but something kept me from pushing her away like so many others. I could try and push her away but I would only want to go back to her in the end. Why is that? She seems to mouth something but I don’t quite catch it. “Sorry,” she mouths. “I want to thank you for saving my life.”
“I didn’t save your life, that cloaked figure did.”
“But if you hadn’t been out there with me then I would have given up before that person came.”
“Why don’t you just speak?”
“I would if I could.”
“Why can’t you?”
“I lost my voice when it happened.”
“What happened?” She grows still at my question but I continue waiting for her response. “What happened,” I ask impatiently. Words = 975

The Circe heard the question and for a moment, stopped struggling, more out of confusion than anything. I mean, the middle of a brawl was not really the time to be asking such a question... When the brawl was over and one person was on the ground bleeding, then yeah, you could ask all the questions you wanted, but in the middle of a grappling match it seemed awfully out of place. However, as an honorable opponent, she decided that she would answer accordingly. "She's a friend... A bitchy companion, but yeah... I think I can call her my friend... Though..." She paused, a grunt escaping her before she attempted another pseudo-kick. "I think... I'll need to kick her a** one day." === "I'm fine," Shuku replied abruptly to the lamb girl. At the moment, she had suddenly found Mei's idea appealing for once as she lay her head back down. Sleep... Was actually something that sounded quite good at the moment. Her eyes steadily closed, yet just as soon as they had done so, they soon opened, her rest apparently cut short as she caught sight of several men approaching them. How they stumbled upon their camp and what hormonal desire or idiotic rudeness drove them to approach the camp of another unannounced was unknown to the Mayonaka. However, the fact remained that they seemed to be little more than trouble. She fumbled to get her shirt on, and managed to do so as slowly, she rose to her feet. "Can I help you, gentlemen?" She inquired, not allowing her irritation to pass through into a lack of manners as she stared at the trio. === Airi marched around, silent until Alice finally spoke again. Then her head darted forward, seeking out the bag that they had wandered so far to look for. However, she seemed a little disappointed about not seeing anything upon first glance. She moved over to the log slowly, then took a seat on it, briefly allowing herself a momentary rest, allowing Alice some time to check any familiar places for her belongings. === As a towel of mysterious origins was offered to her, Melona stared at it for several moments, as if it were something of malicious intent, but with a sigh, she took the towel. It felt just as real as it looked and for a moment, Menace's paranoia ceased, the woman soon drying herself off, dabbing down every once-moist inch of her body before wrapping the towel around herself. "...I don't suppose you could magically find me some clothes too, can you?" She inquired, an awkward silence soon following as she caught sight of the slime slipping back into Melona's body. However, she didn't seem quite as shocked as she anticipated... After all, Melona had controlled herself. That was good enough. === "I do believe he's inquiring about what occurred back at camp," Echidna replied shortly, adressing it casually once more before she gazed down at Honehime, her gaze almost sadistic for a brief moment as she urged the girl on gently. "...And I do believe that he'd like to hear about it in detail." Call it torture, call it training, the Orochi really was trying to get the Kaguya to coax out her bolder persona from within her if there was one deep down there... If they could get rid of that nervous nature than hopefully the rest would prove to be smooth sailing. === "I said nothing," Neru replied shortly as she sipped her own drink, then set the cool beverage back down, listening to the hustle and bustle of the restaurant that was seemingly growing more lively with the approaching nighttime coming... After all, it was when the sun went down that the village saw a whole new side of it, one that any 'daywalkers' never got to see. She soon grew bored of the silence however, now not even having Miku to snap at for making noise. Crap. She was getting bored... All because she told Miku to shut up? No way... She'd rather be bored than irritated, right? Though... Boredom killed. === That 'Yup!' had certainly broken the serious mood in Pan's eyes and she found herself more amused than angered as she soon sat back, seating herself on an unoccupied bed near V-13's. "At ease soldier," she said after several moments. Truth be told, she didn't really care much for formalities. On the battlefield, so long as you did your job well and wasn't an utter douche to to neither your higher ups nor your underlings, the perfect salute or anything like that hardly mattered. So far as you could prove your worth. Deciding to not turn this into an interrogation, she crossed her arms before speaking, "...So, what seems to be the problem, V-13?" === Nomming the sandwich, Shouko didn't do much else. She merely ate the slice, seemingly trying to make it last as long as possible as she didn't want to take any more of the food that had been initially meant to be a tribute to a feared spirit. That would just be downright rude of her and get her cursed or something unpleasant like that. A snap was heard behind her and slowly, the Akimichi's head turned, the woman expecting to see a deer or some other animal, possibly drawn by the food, but what she saw was nothing close to that... Was it a woman? Yes, but she didn't seem entirely human. She had a tail and... Wings? Oh snap! That was the Forest Spirit wasn't it?! The pudgy woman suddenly straightened her posture as she stood up straight before she took her bag of food, raising it up to the sky then setting it at the center of the flat rock as if the food were an offering, and the flat rock, the altar. "Forgive me for trespassing, Guardian of the Woods!"

"True, I can find a scarab in a 12 mile radius with my nose, so it's a bit odd when I find something I don't know what to associate with it. I ran into a flower with a unique smell something like it, but still really different... that flower tried to eat me. So yahhh... dunn want to really run into another man eating plant. You guys seem pretty unscathed so I imagine it's not anything too serious?" "What?! Oh... um, uh... that is..." Honehime stammered helplessly for a while, hardly able to believe the insidious task she was being asked to perform. Was she really supposed to say aloud, those... acts, those horribly carnal acts, that they had witnessed just moments before? She didn't think she was capable of such a thing! Already, her cheeks were heating up more and more, already a stark, furious red. She continued to stammer nonsense for a long moment, then forcibly held her silence, taking in several deep breaths to try to calm herself down. It wasn't easy, being confronted with that scene again so soon after escaping brought it back to her mind like she was right there, watching it all over again. How the three's bodies had intertwined and rubbed against one another, and the sounds, and- Her blush deepened, if that were even possible, as she realized she was actually imagining what would have happened just after they had escaped. Was she that filthy, to think such things? (24152 words + 173 words = 24325 words) Lieselotte frowned, trying to stare a little harder at the two. They had paused in their fighting, it almost looked like they were talking? She couldn't hear either of them, but she didn't dare get any closer without risk. She wasn't too accomplished at lip reading, either. So what they said was totally a mystery to her, hopefully she could ask Sakazuki about it later. If indeed there was a later. If Zenia were to continue her attack, there would be no such guarantees. She diverted her gaze from the action for a moment to check on Elfriede, who was still at the ready at her side, ready to charge forth into battle once more if she needed her to. At the moment, it didn't appear that would be necessary, but she was hardly going to limit her options when her enemy was right in front of her. (20583 words + 152 words = 20735 words) Katsu pouted cutely when Shuku turned her down, but didn't let the lost opportunity bother her too much. After all, there Mei, her Mistress was, asleep. And asleep was just another way of saying 'do whatever you want'. She was just getting ready to have at her when she heard someone, no, several someones approaching. she was instantly on guard, fearful of if they were Ferals. But no, they just appeared to be human males. They could still be a threat, but they weren't Ferals. She was still slightly on guard, even though she was still naked. She made no move to hide her own nudity, though she did move back to retrieve Mei's shirt and drape it over the cow girl's large breasts. She watched the three men critically, unsure of what they planned. Were they thieves, bandits, rapists? No way to tell just yet. And meanwhile, Mei slept, utterly oblivious to the world, and tension, all around her. (26964 words + 164 words = 27128 words) Zenia narrowed her eyes in suspicion at Sakazuki's words. She had no reason to doubt them, but could it really be true? Friends? An assassin wasn't supposed to make friends, they were supposed to keep away from any and all social connections save the ones directly related to their business. And even those should be at the bare minimum. No, this was something that merited more attention. Without warning, she suddenly released her grip from around Sakazuki's arms, pushing up to leap back and away from the Circe. Her kick had managed to land a halfway decent blow to her back, but not enough to cause her more than a twinge of pain. she watched the Circe, waiting for her to get up even as she spoke. "Interesting. It would seem Achenbach is changing, actually making friends. This bears further attention. I'll be keeping an eye on you two, to see just what sort of relationship you really have." She tilted her head up to stare at Lieselotte for a moment, and then turned to walk away without a look back. Apparently, that was it? (6847 words + 189 words = 7036 words) Melona contented herself with a small, satisfied smile when Menace accepted the towel. Much like the water, it was basically innocent. It just happened to be able to feel, and she could receive it's sensations, too. So she almost felt like she was drying off Menace, instead of the towel. A delicious sensation indeed. When the Imhotep asked if she could find clothes, she stopped to tap a finger at her chin. Of course,s he used one of her hair hands, momentarily exposing a breast as she thought. Sure, she could form clothes for Menace, but she had the feeling that Menace wouldn't be too thrilled with the idea. Instead, that left one other option. There had been all kinds of things in the room's supply closet, maybe there would be clothes there? She went to look, bending at the waist to peer inside the closet, her rear wiggling as she did so. A moment later, she cried out in glee, pulling out an outfit fit for a Princess. A Princess in one of 'those' kinds of films, perhaps, but even so! A sailor style blouse with kerchief, pleated skirt, and a few assorted accessories completed the school wear. It looked like it would fit her, too! (9461 words + 211 words = 9672 words) Alice watched as Airi sat down and smiled slightly, glad she was taking the chance to have a rest without her having to suggest it. She didn't want to harp on about making her friend get some rest, but she wanted to make sure that Airi had every possible chance to do so anyways. She strolled through the glade for a moment, peering around stumps, rocks and on the other side of trees. Her bag didn't appear to be here after all. She frowned slightly, wondering why they hadn't checked the ramen shop first. Of course, if they had, then the bag wouldn't have been there, it would have been here, instead. That was just how the world liked to work most of the time. It wasn't necessarily malevolent, it was just coincidence, with a hint of irony. It happened more than one would think, that's for sure! She moved back to Airi to give her the news, taking her time to give her friend a little more time to rest. (10013 words + 177 words = 10190 words) Haku looked from one to the other, from Miku to Neru, and back again. Neru seemed willing to let the matter drop, and for that she was thankful. She took another sip of her tea, being more careful with it this time, and was relieved when she didn't hurt her tongue again. She enjoyed the delicate flavor and aroma for a moment, before looking at her friends again. Now that she thought about it, this seemed a little odd. Since when did the three of them ever really share an actual quiet moment like this? There was nothing wrong with it, per se, it was nice and peaceful. But there was also an air of awkwardness, like they were supposed to keep talking, like Neru was supposed to keep openly being Miku's rival. This silence, it was nice, and yet, it was just wrong. She didn't say anything, though, not having the slightest idea how to suggest such a thing. What was she supposed to say, 'Neru, start arguing with Miku again'? She couldn't say that! She took another sip of her tea and watched as more and more people began to enter the cafe, making it a bit more noisy all around, save the bubble of silence that was the three of them. (4648 words + 218 words = 4866 words) V-13 waited nervously for her superior officer to pronounce sentence. Such a breach of protocol, she knew she would have to be disciplined! But it seemingly never came. For a long moment, it was just silence, which was bad enough to make her even more nervous. Finally, Pan spoke once more. But rather than handing down a punishment, she was simply told to stand at ease. With a more normal volume of "Sir." she did so, going to parade rest. Feet shoulder width apart, arms folded at her back, back straight but not painstakingly so, she seemed to follow the letter of the 'at ease, not falling apart' philosophy. Which was a much scarier idea when you could actually fall apart. She watched indirectly as Pan sat on another soldier's bed, still watching her. She was taken by surprise and couldn't help but to meet Pan's gaze when she asked what the problem was. Her mind tried to figure out what Pan meant by problem. What was her problem? What was the problem with this scene? What was the problem with her entire progress? She didn't know. "Sir... I don't understand the question, sir." She hoped that she didn't get in trouble for speaking out of turn, but since Pan had invited her to stand at ease, she hoped she was justified in taking such liberty. After all, asking questions wasn't generally punished, unless they were the typical smart-alec questions of novice recruits. Generally the ones who would get drummed out of boot camp within the first month. So with any luck, that didn't apply to her. She waited nervously, waiting to see what Pan would say, if she would get in trouble, or if she would get an answer. (1140 words + 300 words = 1440 words) Etheldreda was cooped up inside of the building's library, and hating it. She was now nervously pacing the aisles, not even watching where she was going, just anxious to be able to leave. But she could still hear the sounds of the drizzle outside, sounds that seemed amplified to her, the sounds of a full blown thunderstorm. She avoided walking past the open window, for fear of any rain actually falling in through it, instead giving that section a wide berth as she prowled. Luckily, there didn't seem to be anyone else within the library for the moment. No other Grimoires like herself, either. There were very slight traces of magic in the air, but they had been left by a person or persons, and quite some time ago, months at the very least. In all manner of the words, the trail had gone cold. She could still feel the source of magical energy somewhat nearby, the tension hadn't left it, the fight didn't seem to be over just yet. But the tension had ebbed slightly, had the fight gotten close to a conclusion, at least? She would find out, all in due time. After this infernal rain went away! (847 words + 204 words = 1051 words) Dizzy had been frozen where she was, unable to move after making the foolish mistake of stepping on the twig. That spell broke, however, when Shouko reacted. As soon as the Akimichi turned to look at her, Dizzy felt a strong compulsion to dash off, to hide further away, behind a bigger tree. But it was too late, she had already been spotted. Phantasmal fears of what might happen next flitted through her mind, making her nervous and scared. Suddenly, the pudgy woman lifted her bag high, and Dizzy flinched. Was it a weapon of some kind, was there a monster in it she was about to unleash? She watched, nearly trembling, as Shouko set the bag down, and announced what it was. Wait, what? Guardian of the Woods? Who was that? She wasn't talking about her, was she? She felt she needed to say something to correct this misunderstanding. She tried to, although not having spoken even a single word in months had left her voice feeling a bit unused. It still sounded melodic, though. "Ummm... I'm n-not a guardian of the woods, or anything, actually... S-sorry..." She blushed a little, embarrassed at being confused with such an important figure. Whoever it was.
