Toby rushed out of the car purely because Maia asked him to.
"Alright, alright! I'm pretty sure they won't eat without us!"
Lori was hanging around the hostess' stand while he waited for the rest of his 'party' to arrive.

Maia smiled at Toby and took his hand. She led him inside. "There's Lori!" she looked around for Luca. She spotted him coming in. Had they Come separately then?

"So you found them," Lori said, holding a hand out for Luca as he entered. He gave Toby a pat and touched Maia's arm gently. "Hey, you two."
"Is this the rest of your party?" the hostesses asked.
"Yes, just four," Lori responded.
"If you could follow me?" The hostess nabbed four menus and headed for a booth to fit all of them.

"I saw them come in," Luca corrected, taking Lori's hand. "They were in such a hurry I couldn't keep up." He glanced at the two. "Hey guys," he greeted. No Dari? He was almost disappointed by the absence of the alien. They followed the hostess to their booth, Luca scooting inside so Lori could sit beside him.
Maia sat and opened her menu.

"Hey, Luca," Toby greeted shaking the elf's hand. He liked him. He approved. These double-dates were allowed to continue.
Lori slid in beside Luca and, as per usual, felt enormous in the booth. At least his boyfriend was equally as tall. He opened his menu and started perusing. Hmm...
"Do how have you two been?" Toby asked, looking up from his menu. "Mostly I'm asking you," he gestured to Luca, "because I'm force to work with that one." He motioned to Lori. Lori laughed slightly. 'That one.'

"Hey," Luca smiled and shook Toby's hand.
"We're good," he added, laughing slightly at Toby's question. Dinner, and time together at Lori's place. Nothing could be better. "What about you two?"

"Good, good," Toby said with a grin, then looked to Maia. "We're good too, I think. At least we're not up to anything."
"You're always up to something," Lori accused. Toby just shrugged.

Maia smirked over her menu, setting it down. She folded her hands in front of her. "Lori's right. We're always up to something. What Are you two doing after dinner?" she asked. It was a weekend, they were bound to be doing something.
"Lori invited me over for movies," Luca supplied with a smile. And he got to stay over! But he didn't mention that part. "What do you guys think for food?"

Lori was expecting some sort of invitation he would be happy to turn down so he could spend the night with Luca, but no. Maia was just suggesting vague plans. Scary. He smiled when Luca mentioned their plans and nodded.
"Hmmm..." Toby mused, "Is anybody else feeling nachos? Or is that too messy for a second double-date? Are we supposed to still be pretending to not be disgusting?" The last bit was pointed toward Lori.
"I'm not disgusting," Lori defended.
"I literally saw you eating frosting out of a bowl with a spoon."

"Nachos sounds good," Maia agreed. They were a bit messy--but messy was supposed to be fun, wasn't it?
"He isn't disgusting, he was being cute," Maia said, looking to Toby. "Besides, I gave you frosting too."
Luca watched the three, smirking. Eating frosting was disgusting?

Toby nodded. "You b-- HAH. Yes, but I didn't eat a whole bowl of it."
"It was only a partial bowl, Tobias," Lori defended, "and yes, I'm good with nachos. How about you?" He turned to Luca. He would totally buy the man his own appetizer if not.

"Nachos it is. As for entrees, I've only been here once before. It's good, though. Much better than the crap they have out in Mass," Toby said with a nod.
"Well we are a little bit closer to Mexico than Massachusetts."
"Yeah, my point exactly. Everything so right here."
Lori's brow furrowed. "I don't think I can pronounce any of this."
"Just pretend you're drunk at Denny's and point to it."

"We could share a mexican pizza," Maia suggested, looking to Toby. She pointed to one of the items on her menu. Lori was right, most of the things on the menu were impossible to pronounce.
"You could ask me for help," Luca offered, smiling at Lori and leaning over to see if anything had caught his boyfriend's eye.

"Well, like... I can handle 'burrito' and 'jalapeño.' And, speaking of, I think I'll stay safe and go for the burrito."
