Cassie was interested enough to ask, "What story? I wasn't around," but that was before the shouting began. Cassie clapped her hands over her ears to shut out the arguing between the two. She was surprised at Brisinger's accuracy at getting Faraday's head without his sight, but said nothing.
Shay could see the conflict in Cassie's eyes. She wasn't sure which side to choose, there were pros and cons to both of them and in Cassie's mind she was debating them anxiously.

Andrew slowly crept up behind Brisinger, his gun pointed right at the back of his neck. As he thought "You know I leave for a few and everything goes to hell in a hamster ball"
