Yeeeaah.
I actually made myself a little sad when I played Nocturne on NG+, and beat some of the fiends into the ground with a level 100+ Beelzebub.
xD Because although it only says up to level 99, you can actually reach like, level 215 in that game. (whatever is max stats)

Mm-hmm. o wo I actually want to grind to that point this time around.
(Although very little is likely to be as hilariously unbalanced as my Strange Journey party... Level 100 Alice with max magic and some of the most powerful skills in the game - one-shotted just about everything, and courtesy of apps, I didn't even have random encounters. I love Alice so much.)
...
Max-level characters in DDS might come close, though, especially the first game. o.O Null Attack is just stupidly OP.

Oh, max DDS characters were easily that bad. Insta-death moves all around, AND nulls all damage? xD
Of course, there was that ONE GUY who made it all irrelevant...v.v
