She frowned, then looked away, blushing. "I got lost," she mumbled, quietly.

Arlen's eyes widened. "Really?" he said bewildered and then teared up slightly before hugging her tightly. "I'm sorry. I should have noticed and come looking for you," he said, on the verge of sobbing.

She blinked, surprised by his reaction. "N-no, it's okay." She patted him on the back and tried to smile, to show him she was fine. However, his crying made her tear up a bit, too. "I'm okay, really!"

"But what if you never came back or were attacked by monsters of sumthing?" Arlen asked, sniffling a bit in an effort to calm down.

"Mmm..." she thought for a moment, then grinned. She held up a fist, and put her other hand on her upper arm. "I'd beat 'em up!" she said in a mock tough-guy voice.

"Wow," Arlen said amazed, sitting back as his tears dried. "You must be really strong if you could beat up a monster."

Ajinaru giggled. "Well, I've never tried," she admitted, "but I bet I could!" She smiled, glad he wasn't crying anymore.

Arlen continued to stare at Ajinaru in awe. "Are you hungry?" he asked finally, realizing that he was.

She blinked, then nodded, unable to deny the growling of her stomach. "Mm-hmm," she said, smiling but embarassed.

"C'mon," Arlen said, standing adn grabbing one of her hands to gently pull her towards the kitchen. "I know where the cereal is and there's this one kind that has marshmallows in it."

She gasped, her eyes going wide. "Marshmallows? In cereal?" She smiled, excited now, and followed quickly.

Arlen nodded as he lead her into the kitchen. It took him a little while to find the exact cabinet, but he made good on his promise and was soon pulling the box out for her to see. "Here ya go," he said proudly, handing the box to her and looking around for the cabinet that had bowls.

Ajinaru examined the box, shocked to find the word "marshmallow." She hadn't expected him to be lying, but marshmallows in cereal was just so strange. After a moment, she glanced up from the box to watch him find the bowls.

Arlen, who had climbed up onto the counter to reach the dishes, set two bowls onto the counter and carefully climbed down before looking for spoons. "Do you know where they are?" he asked Ajinaru.
