Xander pulled off several bullets as Ceon crushed the Deathdealer's gun beside him.
The Deathdealer tried to kick at Ceon, but the kick landed with poor form and Ceon's fist connected into his chest, sending him flying into a tree trunk with a 'thunk'.
The lunge at Xander was enough to make him drop his gun and swiftly pull a silver knife. He slammed backward with the momentum of Ceon atop him, and swung the silver knife in his hand at the muscle beneath Ceon's left shoulder. The flash bomb erupted before he had a chance to know it had even fell, and his eyes instantly burned. A curse word fell from his mouth as he slammed full force into the tree, Ceon atop him. He then made a move to get out from beneath the creature before its teeth could rake his skin but without his eyesight he blurted his sister's name, a loud note of panic..."Kaei!..."

Old habits died hard and Rogue sucked in a breath as if she needed it. She closed her eyes and visualized the goal. Injure and detain. She needed to understand the broken treaty, and Meredith might just have the answers the vampires had been looking for...though she wasn't about to let her know that they weren't out for the death of Ceon and her both.
She heard the flash bomb go off, and then heard the UV bomb hit the ground close to where she was behind the tree. Meredith's words were a taunt. Rogue as always, appreciated the sarcasm. She moved in the blink of an eye up the tree, leaping high onto the tree trunk, nails elongated. She moved round just in time to catch a bit of the burn on the side of her face from the UV blast. An inhuman growl escaped her throat involuntarily as the side of her face blistered, the ache going straight to her jaw bone. She did not stop moving as to avoid the rest of the blast, and crawled to a crutch in the tree- her back was then to the tree, her nails dug in, holding her there. Her eyes glowed brightly in the dark, the emerald they so often did, like a green from the pits of hell. She had moved into range and sight of Meredith and leveled a gaze, knowing she probably had drawn guns and was waiting for Rogue.
It was then that she heard her brother say her name...her God given name from their childhood. In a brief moment, she felt a flood of memories from their old house, and seeing Xander and Xandra's faces as children playing in the parlor of their home in France. An almost motherly instinct arose at the voice of her brother, speaking in such panic. Her eyes strayed for an instant from Meredith to where Ceon and Xander were. Without hesitation, she leapt from the tree with feral grace, and let instinct take over. She anticipated a rain of bullets, but it was no consequence. She would do anything to save her brother. In the back of her mind, she wondered when Xandra was going to show her pretty face...
It was the last leg of the Deathdealer group she was working with. Xandra, her younger sister and Xander's twin, was in the shadows as insurance that Meredith would be caught. 'Don't reveal your position too early' Rogue had communicated in a deep psychic connection to her sister earlier while she was 'chatting' with the two lycans...'Wait for my cue, sister.'

The smell of sizzling meat filled the air around Ceon as Xander's knife cut deep into his upper peck. Unfortunately for Xander, Ceon was too high on adrenaline to feel anything but a pin p***k, and his lycan form provided more than enough muscle padding to keep the knife from delving into his rib cage. Blood trickled down onto Xander's body while new flesh struggled to grow over the bullet and knife wounds.
The wolf slid back and grabbed Xander by the feet, having already heard Rogue touch the ground behind him. His muscles tightened up as he violently twisted his body and launched Xander at Rogue by his ankles. His eyes glanced behind Rogue to Meredith, saying "Is it me, or is this too easy? Something's not right..." As he communicated to Edith, the knife fell out of Ceon's chest and landed on the ground with a soft thud.

|| OOC: Also, if you want to determine an outcome of this fight or have an idea in store lemme know. If you want Rogue to succeed in capturing Eden I'm down. Just need to know what I should do if you have an idea in mind. ||
Naturally it was assumed that the vampire's reasoning for attacking her was in the attempt to at the very least harm her. She was the hunter leader and as a result of her station she tended to have a huge target on her head where all races were concerned. It was the same as being a vampire elder, a tainted leader or a lycan elder. All the heads of their factions tended to have huge targets on their head. At the same time, however, by reputation alone most of them were feared and as a result many inexperienced members were told not to combat them alone.
The huntress waited with all the patience in the world for Rogue to emerge from the blast as she inevitably would. Eden knew it would never be that simple to rid New York of one of the vampire elders who headed the coven. As much as she detested them, she knew they were very competent opponents, ones that had the potential to best even herself. It was why she always issued utmost caution when in the midst of one of the elders. One never quite knew what crazy stunt they'd pull next. Ingesting diamonds for amplified powers, abducting her hunters, the list went on, they were capable of much and that made her wary.
Once Rogue emerged, however, her attention was quickly drawn toward Ceon and his fight with the other vampire who appeared to resemble Rogue slightly now that the huntress took the time to look more closely. The sentiment of the moment, though, was not something Eden was going to be sucked in by. Instead she chose to use the opportunity and the moment Rogue's gaze left her indicating she was distracted by something else, Eden opened fire on her with the magnum she had loaded with UV bullets.
As opposed to following Rogue's movements as an amateur would, Eden instead chose to anticipate where Rogue would end up. Her prediction was that the elder valued the life of her comrade a little too highly to allow a bullet or so to keep her from intervening. This was the opening Edith took full advantage of, firing ahead of where Rogue had leaped to from the tree, anticipating her path of movement before the elder had even made it. A rain of bullets was exactly what Meredith sent Rogue's way, carefully aimed ones, three shots as opposed to unloading her entire clip in one round. She had a couple extra magazines but wasting her ammo was not something she liked to do even if she had alternative methods of dealing with the elder or vampires alike.
While Eden was telepathically adept from excruciating training over the years, she was not able to breach Rogue's communication with her other sibling. The link between them remained undetected by the hunter as a result of the elder's own ability to mask her telepathy.
Just as the wolf in Eden had began to stir, unsettled by the vampire's presence and behaviour, Ceon chose to address her. She'd found herself thinking the exact same thing, wondering why Rogue was performing so sloppily and why this ambush had been so easy to thwart. The hunter in her was definitely getting a gut feeling that something wasn't right and the wolf's instinct only served to further that feeling. Meredith responded to Ceon, choosing to telepathically respond, barring Rogue or others from being able to intrude on the conversation or hear what she was saying, 'I don't like this either. Something definitely isn't right. My wolf's got her hackles raised and is pacing around, I can feel her.'

A UV round hit Rogue in the calf, bursting through completely, burning a hole right through the muscle and exiting the other side. Another UV round hit Rogue in the right arm, hitting and going deep, slamming into her bone. A round hit her side, but didn't enter her body due to the Kevlar vest she was wearing beneath a black tunic. The last round that rang true was another of the anticipated shots that Eden fired. It landed in her right shoulder, as that was the side of her body that was facing Eden. The burn caused Rogue to growl an inhuman growl. She had stumbled in her attempt to reach her brother.
Ignore the pain, ignore the pain, ignore the pain...she chanted to herself. The Deathdealer training was similar to this...wounding each other with tactics the enemy would use. It was maneuver against the pain or die.
She saw Ceon throw her brother by the ankles, his blood pouring over the ground. She fought to contain her anger and rage as he landed in front of her, sliding on the ground. She had fallen, not able to brace herself with both hands, her right arm completely burning from within, the UV coursing to the bone. She bit off a groan and rolled onto her back and drawn her gun, firing off a few rounds into the thigh area of where Eden was, and hoped to sink a few silver nitrate bullets to slow her down.
The vampire that had crashed against the tree first had gotten up and ran toward Ceon leaping with two silver daggars, one in each hand.

Xander tried to suppress a scream as he was thrown by the lycan. Xander landed beside Rogue then and mentally communicated to Kaei, Xandra is waiting for your cue, I'm surprised you've not let her advance, yet... He had wanted to give the 'go ahead' himself, but it was Rogue's call...and he was not going to jump the gun. He was in agony, but he knew Rogue was not stupid, and he was going to wait....
The pain seared through him in another jolt. He was not a victim. He was the hunter, and he'd be damned if he let a lycan get the best of him...As the Deathdealer that had hit the tree started shooting, his sight was coming back in its fullness, and he drew a daggar and threw it with speed and extreme force towards the lycan's knee. Torn cartilage was the hardest to regenerate.
He had known from experience.

Ceon had turned to face the oncoming assailant from the tree and began charging at the vampire with ferocious force. He had covered maybe 5 yards when the dagger pierced through the back of his knee and poked at his knee cap, causing him to stumble and howl in agonizing pain. His nerves burned hotter than the fires of hell and his fleshed struggled desperately to push the foreign object out, but to no avail.
The wounded lycan propped himself up on 3 limbs and swiped defensively at the vampire with 2 silver daggers, growling lowly. His knee throbbed as fast and hard as his heartbeat, which in turn led to blood leaking out from the wound. He retreated backwards and to the side so that all of the vampires were in his peripheral vision. Ceon was in pain, he was fully aware of that, but he had faced so much worse from his own kind, especially Jaden. He once again communicated to Edith, "Don't worry about me...take out that wretch, Rogue..."

Pain was likely something all the present members of the fight could easily testify to: both physical and mental. Eden had undergone both as a part of her training as well as on the field. She'd sustained numerous injuries and escaped from a few fights here and there barely with her life. That was simply part of who she was and what she was expected to do as a hunter: it was the life she had chosen.
There had been a point in time where she'd considered settling down and leaving it all behind but that time had come and gone as quickly as a vague memory. The scars from it were still fresh despite years having gone by since the fateful day she'd lost her children. Some memories, as much as she hated to do so, were best left buried just as some dreams were best left dead. Her hope of having a simple life had come and gone, she'd missed her bandwagon.
Rogue was fast but taking the hits from all of Eden's shots had rendered her a lot slower and sloppier in form, as a result the hunter leader was able to evade the vampire's shots at her with ease. That, however, did not mean that the shots Rogue took had proven utterly useless. They had prevented Meredith from intervening to assist Ceon and spare him from taking a silver knife through his cartilage in his knee. The howl that resounded from his lycan form echoed her failure to properly watch his back.
As the vampire wielding the two silver daggers bolted toward Ceon, Meredith made a bee-line toward him in order to intercept him. She wasn't about to have Ceon's death on her hands. There was little if anything she owed him yet the loyalty still held. If there was any testimony to that it was the fact she'd left him alive after all the times he'd gone rabid on her and tried to kill her.
The lycan hunter used all of her speed to make it to the assailant in time, making contact with his rib cage and tackling him full force from the side. As a result the two tumbled to the ground, vampire hissing amidst her wolven side growling. While they rolled a sharp cry of pain followed by a wolven whimper was emitted from the hunter leader as the vampire managed to make a clean stab into her left shoulder with one of the silver knives.
Naturally an immediate consequence of the action was the hunter grabbing the vampire's second arm to prevent him from impaling her a second time. She had caught him by his wrist, holding him there in place as she drew her magnum and fired a round mercilessly into his face. A brief shriek followed by the total dissolving of the vampire's face followed and gave the hunter a chance to remove the knife from her shoulder.
'We got into this mess together. Might as well come out of it together. You're not one of my hunters but that doesn't necessarily mean you get left behind.'

Rogue looked at Xander, her mind hearing the echo of his words. They both were in pain. Her eyes blazed brightly as she looked at him but her thoughts were focused on healing her wounds enough to move. The UV round that had pierced her leg was starting to close. Rogue would need the muscle to fully go after Eden. As Eden was distracted enough from Rogue in the moment, she focused healing her right arm...at least the deepest of damage. A heat passed over her arm...she envisioned water and flooding out the damage...Regeneration worked wonders when vampires had recently fed. Xander, take care of Ceon...but don't kill him. He is innocent of this mess...he is only acting on loyalty...
She loaded another clip into the gun just as Eden finished their Deathdealer friend. A growl rumbled low in her throat and she was on her feet and shot, focusing on Eden's movements. Ankles, calves, thighs- She would pay for the Deathdealer's death, even though Rogue's intent was not to kill...

Xander bit into his own lip as the pain seared up from his ankle. He stared his sister in the face...her eyes bright. The determination he saw in them somehow made the pain fade. The green eyes they both shared stared back at Kaei. Aren't we all acting on loyalty? A brief smile was communicated between them.
His attention turned fully on Ceon. One more knee out was the goal. He was on his feet and pulled a gun full of silver nitrate bullets. He aimed and started shooting.

As soon as Eden had blown a hole in the one vampire's face, Ceon had began to charge at Xander with full force. Even though his injured leg was lifted slightly off the ground, the lycan was barreling towards the vampire like a bat out of hell. Suddenly, bursts of silver erupted from all over Ceon's body as the silver nitrate bullets pounded into his flesh. His vision grew hazier and hazier as he drew closer, but the wolf in him kept going. Staggered, he kept on charging until he could no more and eventually collapsed on the ground, sliding until he was no more than a few inches away from Xander's foot.
Ceon's breathing was harsh and labored. The nitrate worked quickly through him and made it so painful that he could hardly make any noise. With a weak growl, Ceon lycan head wrenched upward and clamped his massive jaws around Xander's right leg with all of the force he could muster.

Ceon, for as long as Meredith had known him, had always been far too reckless in his battles. He relied far too heavily upon his durability as a lycan to come out alive. The vampires they were dealing with here were experts at putting lycans down and not only lycans but their own kind as well. To be rash was not likely going to end in Ceon's favor at all and when he collapsed to the ground, the hunter leader's assumption was only reinforced.
She could smell the singing of his flesh and the silver nitrate that was beginning to course through his veins. The thought of it was just as sickening as the smell and she knew she had to do something fast or Ceon was not going to make it out alive. His body could only fight the nitrate for so long, it was imperative the bullets were removed along with the nitrate or he was going to suffer from poisoning.
Standing down, unfortunately, hardly seemed an option at the moment as Ceon was at the mercy of the fellow vampire who had accompanied Rogue (Xander). That being said both Rogue and Xander had taken some decent hits from the lycan duo that both were still recovering from. She noted that Rogue was taking her time to heal herself up which meant Meredith could use that time to intervene and save Ceon.
While Xander stood within Ceon's vicinity, gun at the ready, Meredith drew her own and opened fire on him in order to cover Ceon. The knife wound she'd suffered from the deathdealer she'd managed to kill was still open but the silver having been removed, it was going to heal up likely within a few minutes, at least the surface of the wound. Until then she was openly bleeding, clearly ignoring the pain in order to assist Ceon in the hopes she could keep him alive.

The worst of the deep tissue damage had healed in her arm...the wound on her leg had closed and the threads of tissue continued to weave itself together.
Rogue rolled into a crouch, drew a gun of silver nitrate bullets and fired at Eden as Eden began firing at her brother. Hard left, Xander.....I'm driving her right...The words echoed to Xander. She shot at Eden's legs. She wanted to sink a few bullets into her thighs to slow her movements...not kill her. With her free hand, she grabbed a silver explosive and threw it into the tree at Eden's right.

Xander stopped shooting as Ceon slid to a halt at his feet. He could have taken a kill shot but instead quickly emptied his clip and clicked in another turning toward where Meredith was, over the corpse of their dead Deathdealer. As soon as his eyes locked on her, he saw and heard the gunshot and began moving to evade the bullets. He heard Kaei's order to move left, and he did, trying to move to a tree several yards from his position. Knowing Kaei, he instinctively knew she planned on an explosive in the other direction to weaken the lycan huntress.
He moved with inhuman speed, trying to hear the bullets as they flew, ducking and maneuvering to not get hit...and as he was almost to the tree, a round entered his side. A short cry escaped his lips as he disappeared behind the tree, dropping his gun. He slammed his back against the tree...the UV burned and singed his flesh. He gritted his teeth and dug in a knife to pull out the shell of the bullet and trying to cut out the burnt flesh so it would heal quicker. He growled and choked off his sound... He pulled the shell out of his side and pulled back whatever he could of the UV liquid burning him. He then put the bloody knife back and flexed his hand as he tried to focus on healing the wound. Kaei, don't worry...its nothing fatal......his words whispered into Kaei's mind.

Ceon's vision was so fuzzy, it was as if someone had pulled a thin blanket over his eyes. His arms shook as he pulled his hulking form up, but managed to get back on all fours whilst pools of silver formed under him. His skin began to steam from the nitrate flowing through him. He closed his eyes for a brief moment and flexed his muscles as hard as he could, forcing the dagger out from behind his kneecap. The bullet holes closed slowly, and a surge of silver and bile spewed from his mouth as he stood carefully on his hind legs. Pain was something he was accustomed to, and he was willing to fight until he either passed out or died...two things that had happened to him before.
Layna had taught him several techniques on healing nitrate wounds, though he was no pro. It boiled inside him like hot acid, and made him drunk on silver. It made him dizzy, it made him nauseous, it made him disoriented, but most of all, it made him angry. His had snapped towards Xander for a brief moment before he disappeared up into the canopy above.
