Kaya frowned some and turned towards Luke. "Are you alright? Did something happen with Kaitani?" she asked worriedly. She didn't see the little dragon, but she'd assumed he'd gone back into his cave.

Luke looked to Kaya and shook his head some. "No. Just thinking." he said, adjusting how he was sitting a little. The ground would feel better if he would lay down, but he didn't want to. He just wanted to curl up and hide.

Luke sighed. He was just going to have to tell her at least part of it... "I'm just lonely... My sister is married, both her sons are married. Even her grandkids are married. I don't have anybody... Anybody like that anyways."

Kaya was a little caught off guard by the statement. She didn't know much herself in that department. She was the eldest child, and the only other two who were old enough to marry had done what she'd done: Gone off to work. "I-I'm sorry... Have you tried finding someone, perhaps?"

Luke nodded a little. "Yeah... I have..." he muttered before getting up. He offered his hand to Kaya. "It's getting late. We should be getting inside before nightfall."

Kaya knew from his tone that Luke wasn't telling her something, but she let the topic go, since he clearly wanted it to be let go. She contemplated getting herself up, before just taking his hand and letting him help her up.

Luke helped her up to her feet, and into his arms since he was standing a bit lower on the hill, meaning the cheetah'd fall right into them. He smiled some and made sure she was alright before taking her hand and leading her inside.

Kaya blushed a little upon finding herself in Luke's arms, even for a short moment, then followed him as he led her, her cheeks still warm.

Luke led her through the castle, still holding her hand. Truth be told he didn't want to let go, but he had to as they came to her room. He stopped and looked to her, smiling softly as he released her hand. "I'll see you tomorrow. Sleep well." he said before walking off. He knew he wasn't going to so he might as well wish her a good sleep.

Kaya watched as he left, a little dazed. "Good night," she said, a little delayed. She turned and entered her room, immediately being assaulted by her friendly animals, all whom seemed concerned with her prolonged absence.

Luke headed into his room and moved the books and boards aside before flopping on his bed and sighing deeply. What was he supposed to do now? The wolf rolled onto his side and grabbed a roll from one of the many dishes the maids had brought him. Maybe some food would help him think.

Kaya sat on her bed, letting a few of her animals curl up to her. It was moments like these that she wished she had her twin brother there with her. Ilsen always knew what to say to make her feel better...

Luke had spent a few minutes eating, but all it had gotten him was a bloated feeling and an upset stomach. He groaned softly, rubbing his stomach as he sipped some water. He should go get medicine for this, but he didn't want to move... It hurt to even think about moving with this paining belly.

It didn't take long for Kaya to fall asleep again, curling up to the cheetah cubs, who'd all gathered to make her feel better.
