Ares laughed. He actually laughed. Though he didn't know it, he was on to something. Something that one Headmistress knew rather well... He paid no mind, for the moment, to Evermore. She would understand, he hoped, that he could not spare any moment to answer her. Timing mattered too much right now, so his attention was vital.
--
Arielle's eyes widened. Could that War God know? She was in the lake, and not truly very far from where the battle was... well, sort of raging. She could hear everything... She had heard Ares' explaination, the story. She knew the story as well... but she also knew that the story had ended unfinished. The shield and lance were made from a certain Relic that resided in Bai Ching, according to the rumors, and the lance... Well, the lance had been repaired.
The very lance, the unstoppable lance, currently was hidden away in her office.

Musica smirked, remembering the incident those days ago that seemed so far away. As if in another lifetime. "I do remember. Sounds like a plan to me, better sneak away undetected then if we're going to do so." He held out his hand for her to take, so he could teleport them immediately into the water undetected. Knowing the Headmistress was there he'd have to work quietly and quickly. Maybe he could finally find out what that was that grabbed his foot that day.

((I'm unsure, should I continue the fight as is or bring down a Norse God? And don't worry, Tyler will have a purpose here. wink ))

Ari placed her hand in his, remembering just a few days ago. Things had been so different then. She looked up at him, wanting to tell him not to leave when this was all over... but that was stupid. She couldn't keep him here if he wanted to leave, which sucked. "Let's rock," she murmured.

((I personally didn't know that, but the good thing is neither do the characters. *Shrugs* I won't be too heartbroken if they miss something.))

Ever knew exactly why Ares hadn't answered her. In fact, she had hoped he wouldn't respond to her because she didn't want him to take his focus away from the fight. It had just been a natural reaction for her to verbally respond the way she did. After all, she did have a big mouth...
She would use that mouth to her advantage, hopefully. She strode up to the barrier, stopping right when she felt a huge surge of energy in front of her.
"Hey Nicky. You're not a fan of Olympian Gods, right? Well, I hate 'em, too. In fact, if you wanted to use me to get to Olympus, I'd be more than happy. You see, I'm a Greek goddess, but I don't very much care for my 'family'. If you used me to take down my family, then my life will have served some purpose."
She was pretty certain that Nikolaus wouldn't take her up on her half-assed offer, but hopefully her words had served to at least attract his attention so that Ares could get a swing in.

{{Yeah, the 'you know' was kinda rhetorical. Sorry about that! I just say 'you know' sometimes without it really meaning anything. But yes, there is a tree down there. A very large tree with many branches and very full of leaves. It's close to one wall of the lake. And you can try to make a tree house in it, Rrine... I shall have fun RPing that little scene. wink }}

Ares glanced at Evermore, giving her a sharp glare. He hoped she'd get the message. He couldn't hit Nikolaus unless he had something that would break the impenetrable armor. Something like an unstoppable lance.

(Actually, Nessa is there with Arielle. You can have her get it since there's nothing for Ness to do at the moment!)

Nikolaus remained forward focused, only hearing a roaring in his ears of a young girl. "You would be wise to hush young one, I could find a good use for you for my demons." Nikolaus's bright glowing eyes remained locked on Ares, unwavering in their gaze. The demons pounded harder on the barrier, looking up hungrily at Evermore. It had been a while since their last meal. He stood in a stance that was ready to move at any second, and he felt the impatience of the Gods above. They were restless, wishing him to finish the War God.

((Derpdadur! Thanks, Rrine! lol, I'd completely forgotten that.))
Arielle looked to Nessa, and desperately took one of the girl's shoulders. "Go to my office," she said, hurriedly. "Open the window seat. There will be a box. Take it out. The key is in the fourth drawer from the top on the left side of my desk, in a compartment at the back. You will be pricked, and let it take your blood. When it has done so, say your full name--no nicknames--your given name--and then close your eyes, else you shall be blinded. Count to fifteen. Then use the key and open the box." She took a deep breath, but it did nothing to calm her nerves. "Inside the box is a lance. Bring it to me. Hurry! Go!"
