Amnity smiled, picking up the pieces of the plate she had somehow broken while she was watching the show. "Nope. Not anytime soon, at least." She got up and headed to the kitchen. A few minutes later, after she washed the plates and cleaned the table, Amnity checked the refrigerator to see if she could cook a meal that wasn't as spicy as chili, something that Laviatar could eat. She then frowned, seeing that there were not enough food and ingredients for another meal. Quickly, she went to her bedroom and changed, wearing just her regular black baggy jeans and a plain old black T-shirt. "You guys watch the show, I need to go out to the city and buy some more food, alright?"

"Ah, alright..." Zahzi said, too interested in what was happening on the TV to notice anything.

The temors began to build in strength, until it stopped. But the lights continued to be seen. A few people ventured in, which was the last thing they ever did. Their screams echoed through the night sky as they were noticed by Navox.

Amnity walked out of the apartment complex, trotting through the city streets, the bright moon glistening overhead. She took a deep breathe, feeling refreshed and relaxed. She didn't feel like hiding anymore, her head up high, and her eyes weren't drawn to the ground like they always were. It felt like nothing could go wrong...
Yet all at once, everything went wrong. There were sudden, severe earthquakes that shook the streets and the buildings. Amnity braced herself to the concrete, the only one that could keep to her feet as other people walking around fell and swayed by the tremor. Then, her ears heard a horrible sound. The sound of people screaming. Amnity's figure suddenly disappeared as she phased quickly, running from the path she was supposed to take to the grocery store, sprinting to the direction all of the other citizens seemed to be running from.
Suddenly, Amnity found herself at the base of an abandoned old building, people running and screaming as a strange light excreted from the inside. The soldier feared and hoped that it wasn't who she thought it was. "Everyone! Get out of here!!!" Amnity's voice called valiantly over the screams of the other citizens around. She rushed in closer to the building, helping people leave and shoving them along. Her first instinct was to get as many people to safety as possivle. "Get out of here!!! Immediately!!!" She ordered again to the rest of the people, getting her voice loud so everyone could hear clearly.

A familiar deep, psychotic laughter echoed through the building.
As one grew closer to the laughter, more and more corpses littered the ground.
"Pitiful! Absolutely pitiful! All I did was flick them in the head and they fell apart!!" he yelled, still not knowing Amnity was near. He he did, she would already know...

Despite her orders, some people were venturous enough to try and see what was going on. They were the unlucky ones. Eventually, some police men and fire fighters came, seeing the lights and hearing the sounds as well. "Get the people away from the building! Don't let anyone near!" Amnity ordered to the nervous and frightened police cops. They quickly followed the first order they heard, though it came from Amnity, and immediately they kept people at bay, helping those that needed help. Though Amnity entered the building herself, seeing if anyone else had gotten inside. She heard laughter, a laughter she knew all to well. Despite this, she pressed on, trying not to start a fight until she was sure that everyone was out of the building. Corpses were everywhere, a permanent look of fear plastered in their pale, dead faces. Suddenly, she saw 3 people walking through the halls, thinking they could find refuge there. "What are you doing?!" She hissed at them, grabbing the teenagers back by the collar of their shirts with no effort of all. " Get the hell out of here!" The soldier ordered, shoving them to the stairway to the door. She continued on silently and swiftly, trying not to get Navox to know of her presence with her deathly silence and agility. She got a few more people out, and even a child. "Quickly, it isn't safe here, go." Amnity said in a low whisper, then waited until they were safely away before continuing through the dark, unlit halls of the building. "Who else is here? Hello?" She called softly, looking around the rooms and stairways. Her top priority now was to get people away from Navox, who she was sure was the monster that did all of this.

((Hmm...'Scream' by Avenged Sevenfold helps for this scene. xd ))

The building now only had two people in it.
Navox, and Amnity.

Navox suddenly stopped laughing, his head rising.
"I sence...Something...Something giving off the aura of life...One that's eluded me for oh-so long..." he said out loud, giving a psychotic smirk.

Amnity switched her ocular vision to heat vision, scanning the surrounding area for anything that gave off any type of heat signature. Nothing so far, and the building was dead silent. No one was left there....Except....
"Navox!" The soldier called, her rage could be heard in the sudden hostility of her voice, her mechanical hand collapsing back to form her special cannon. What am I fooling? I can't fight him alone...She frowned at the thought, knowing its true. Still, she had to make this right....In a violent fight, of course.

((I love that song. ninja ))

Navox looked over at where the voice came from, still grinning. Suddenly, his heat signature dissappeared...

He then appeared right behind her, holding onto a now broken light.
"...Number three on my list to slaughter..." he said, raising his hand to attack with an electrical charge.

Amnity looked around when Navox's heat signature disappeared, but suddenly froze when she head his voice behind her. She anticipated his action quickly, but still didn't turn around. Suddenly, the soldier spun, slamming a round house too the side of a pillar that held that floor of the building up. At the same time, she twisted her arm, firing a lazer from her cannon to the walls of the room. Immediately, the entire level of that floor began to shake, and as quickly as she made her move, Amnity phased and disappeared to the 13th story, 2 floors above the one that just collapsed. Hopefully with Navox still there. She quickly got to her feet and began spriting through the halls, running up stairs, looking for something....Also, trying to create some distance between her and Navox.

The attack had caused the roof to fall on Navox, and also severed all of the electricity in the building, haulting him from jumping right in front of Amnity.
"That little albino b****..." he bellowed, coming out of the wreckage with countless peices of debris sticking out of him. He started to rip them out, causing holes in his body, which quickly closed up.

He looked up, and saw a momentary glimpse of Amnity.
"I'm going to dissect you...Slowly and alive..." he said, slowly making his way up the floors.

Amnity continued to sprint up the stairs, hearing Navox's threats clearly. She remembered the question Zahzi asked before, if she were ever scared in her whole life. If he were to ask her again, she would definitely mention this to him. Come on, calm down, it's not the time to lose your head. Finally, she found what she was looking for. The boiler room. If I could just get there.... Amnity looked back, hoping Navox hadn't caught up. Her right hand quickly formed back into a cannon, and immediately she fired at the spiraling staircase that she had just climbed. It collapsed in the blast, and hopefully it would slow Navox down. Thunder suddenly rang through the clouds, and a few minutes later Amnity could hear rain trickling outside through the cloudy, dark night. She entered the boiler room, catching her breathe for a second from the running.

Luckily, Without the use of electricity, or flight, Navox was rather slow when it came to moving. He was about to climb the stairs when they were destroyed.
". . .Persistant to stay alive, arn't we. . ?" he asked, jumping up the wreckage at key points as not to fall.

He heard the thunder, and grinned.
To him, that sound is a lullaby...

Amnity looked around the room, trying to ignore Navox and the thunder so she could focus. Lightning struck down in the sky, illuminating the city as well as the whole building for a split second. Please let this plan work....She thought to herself, moving deeper into the room. The whole room was filled with pipes and chains, stretching out far. It was like a maze, a maze in a dark, stormy night, where the only light came from the lightning that occasionally struck down for a second. Amnity huffed, moving through the pipes and ducking under chains. Finally, she stopped somewhere in the center of the room, waiting for Navox. Another bolt of lightning struck down, lighting the room for a second before turning pitch black again.

Navox stopped at a door that had been left slightly ajar, and smirked.
"Really...Prey should know better than that..." he said with a chuckle.

"Where-oh-where are you, you annoying little soldier..?" he asked, entering the boiler room.

There was silence...Only thunder could be heard. Then suddenly a sound of twisting of metal rang in the air, and the groan of the heater in the boiling room. A flash of lightning struck down again, bringing light to what Amnity was doing for a second. She had crushed the pipes, twisting and forming them to Navox's general direction. Suddenly, all at once the heater groaned again, and the pipes broke, shooting out gallons and gallons of steaming water at Navox. Amnity had remembered what had happened when she faught with Zahzi a long time ago, when she had broken a water main and the pipes spewed water at him. His electricity would shock him if he tried o conjure it. Please let it work this time too.... She thought, taking a step back as more water shot at Navox.
