"Elazul! Get a hold of yourself damn it! I don't want to have to hurt you! But I will if I must!" Nebride shouted as she jumped back. "Damn it, why...geez...I'm gonna have to do this the hard way."
Tree roots emerged from the ground and bound Elazul to the ground. "I can do this all night Elazul," Nebride said calmly. She sat on his back as he thrashed on the ground. "Get over whatever is bothering you."

Nebride picked herself up off of the ground bringing the shackle up with her. "This is for your own good my friend." She swung the shackle around in the air and with little force let it go. "Don't wanna hurt him after all."
The shackle flew through the air and with a clink locked around one of Elazul's ankles.

Nebride crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow quizically. "Maybe a wolf or two, but no person. I got to you before you could get as far as the camp. What the hell was that all about, and do you remember anything about the confrontation we had a little while ago with the witch hunter?"

"Well you missed a charming argument then," Nebride laughed. "I think Gren and I managed to piss him off quite a bit. Anyways, the whole deal is we're free for now because I'm in search for a murderer. He'd rather I find him then him find him." Nebride shook her head with a sigh.
"Well now Togan knows about Gren and me--I mean, what we are. I'm filling you in on all of this in case Togan or Gren somes to speak with you. Also, we're going to keep this from everyone else. We do not need a full-spread panic. Got it?"

i folowed the sound of fighting. when i got there i looked around. "well," i said with a slight grin, "it looks like we'll be eating wolf for the next few days." i picked up the dead wolves by there tails and carried them over to a tree. i used one of the vines i could control to tie them up.
"any one wanna help me prepare the meat?" i said, looking over my shoulder non-chelountly.(sp)

Nebride grinned at Gren. "Well you came at on opportune time didn't you? Elazul, the least you can do, for waking me up, is help skin these wolves. You made the mess--you should clean them up."
She sat back and watched as Elazul and Gren prepared the wolves. "Poor creatures--rest in peace."

"haha! you're not gonna help?" i pulled out one of my kunai and cleansed it before slicing through the skin. then, with ease since i was used to doing this, i grabbed the flesh on bothe sides and pulled downwards. the skin came off after a few good tugs and i sat back to let it bleed.
"if i don't let it bleed then we have blood flavored meat. a little blood is good but too much makes it taste like metal"

Nebride hid her wince as Gren cleaned the dead wolves. "Damn it." She sighed and shook her head. "No, I am not going to help. If you haven't noticed--I don't eat meat. I'll stick to the natural fruits of the earth thank you very much."
She fingered the necklace under her shirt. "Besides, wolves are sacred to us. We do not kill and we do not eat them. If somebody else wants to do it, then so be it. I cannot stop them. I will not participate however."

i shrugged. the wolves were almost done bleeding anyway. "the wolf was already dead. if it didn't die for a reason..." i trailed off.. "anyway. it's giving us food. this is all part of the food chain. now. don't think i'm brutal by doing this" i said as i layed down a cloth on a flat rock.
"i do admit that i sometimes get a little emotional while doing this. the wolf didn't do anything to us but we skin it for meat. but at least... it wont go to waste." i sliced off a piece of muscle from the thigh and put it on the cloth i had layed out.
i continued to slice off the good meat and throw the fat, bones, and other body parts in a pile next to me.
after i had separated all the good meat from the bad... i washed my hands and began to dig a hole.

"I do not think you are brutal. That is your way of life and I accept that, but we are taught from infancy to eat only what the earth gives us. I can eat meat when I absolutely have to, but it's only on the rarest occasion." Nebride looked around carefully.
"I have this feeling that we're being watched." She looked at Elazul up and down. "Maybe one of us should go back to the camp and get him some clothes to wear. We don't really want to explain why his clothes are all torn up do we?"

i continued to dig until the hole was deep enough. "good point. maybe you should do that. i'm a little busy and he's... well..... ok you're getting the clothes"
when the hole was finished i started puting in the pieces of wolf that i didn't need. from bones, to skin, to stomache. it all went in the hole. i covered it up with dirt. i placed my hands together and bowed my head. "thank you for providing us with food to give us strength" i sayed. i bowed before the mound one more time before i started to concentrate. as i did so, a field of daisies and daffodils bloomed on and around the graves of the wolf.
"rest in peace" i said before standing up.
