Hinata smiled and nodded. "I'd love to help you!" she smiled as she walked along with Kiba. "H-he must not like me then. But h-he does l-like you, Kiba-kun. T-that's good." For both of you. she thought just a little sad. Her pale eyes found the trail they were following as they kept walking.

"As you say, Zabuza-san." He bowed slightly. "No thank you. I was lucky enough to have had supper two nights ago. I am fine." He bowed again then knelt but quickly stood up again as the bat that had settled on him flew off, making small screehing sounds. And he also stood because the older male was still standing.

"If only I could get him to admit that." he said with a bit of a chuckle before shrugging it off. "Anyway, I don't know how long we'll be able to stay. Shika said he'd be coming after us if we're away for too long. I'd like to have a nice walk there, though." He looked up at the sky through the trees and took in a deep breath. "It's a beautiful night."
Zabuzas eyes narrowed as he looked at Haku. "I will not have that. You are going to eat every day at least twice a day." It seems things were worse for him than I originally thought. If I'd waited any longer... "Sit down and I'll cook this up for you." Though it'd been a long time since he'd last cooked, he just hoped that it'd turn out edible. He unwrapped the meat, which was from a fox he'd caught the night before and had already skinned, and cut it up into smaller pieces. He then put the sticks over the fire so they could cook.

Hinata nodded and slowly took Kiba's hand that wasn't holding the flowers. "I'd like to take a walk too." She smiled and clutched his hand tighter. "Yes, it is very beautiful tonight." She looked up at him with her pale lavender eyes.

Haku bowed his head and sat down. He neatly folded his kimono under him and sighed. "As you wish, Zabuza-san." He said as he looked up. He watched as Zabuza started to cook and shook his head. "You start them on the underside first." He said, moving over to flip the sticks over.

Kiba had been thinking about a few things since Hinata showed up, things he wasn't sure if he wanted to know. But if he didn't ask he would regret it and always wonder. "Hinata...were you the only one that really missed me? I know Akamaru does and I saw first hand of what my mother and sister think. Other than them and you...do the rest of them care that I'm gone?" They'd talked about it a little already but he needed to know...he needed to know if he was as worthless as he thought himself to be.
Zabuza moved away from the fire and grunted. "I haven't cooked for longer than I can remember. You can cook it yourself." he went and stood in the 'doorway' looking out into the rest of the cave. Things are going to be awkward with the boy around. I'm going to have to change how I do things...then again, why the hell should I?

Hinata lookd up with a frown. She glanced up at him and then down to the forest floor and then around the two. "I-I think Naruto-kun missed fighting w-with you...I...I thought your Okaa-san and Hana missed you..." SHe whispered and stopped looking at him. "I..I don't really know about the others...I'm sorry."

Haku nodded and sat down next to the fire and started to cook the meat more. He smoothed his kimono around him as he waited for a chance to flip the meat over. "Will you be eating this, Zabuza-san.? Or will you be having something else?" Like me?

"Just as I thought, no one. I guess I don't have to worry about that anymore then." Why worry about people who don't care and never cared? "I really was meant to wind up out here, like this, no longer human." Kiba looked at his hands a moment, then scowled and sped up his pace. "Hinata, I promise that I'll talk with Shikamaru more about bringing you back. You should be where you belong and that's not here." He jumped to the rock in the middle of the brook then to the other side. He continued down the path, slowly starting to leave Hinata behind as he started to get angry.
"I cannot eat solid food, my body rejects it." Zabuza said from where he stood, still gazing out into his cave. The smell of Hakus blood was calling him but he had an iron will. "I will go out and feed later...after you're sleeping."

((I might have to go for a walk soon. But I will be back on later.))
"B-but, Kiba-kun." Hinata whispered as she tried her best to follow him. She jumped to the first rock and stood there for a moment as she watched Kiba pull away from her. She jumped to the other side and started to try and follow Kiba but he was walking too fast for her so she started running. She tripped and landed roughly on the ground. She sat up and rubbed her hands together looking around to find Kiba was no where in sight. "K-kiba-kun?" She whispered.

"If you wish I can get something for you. All you have to do is turn over the meat every few minutes." He looked over to the man he would now called his master. He was still wondering why out of all the other people had Zabuza picked him. He had said it was for no reason but knew it was untrue."

((I'm actually getting off now to get to bed, so I won't be on cry I gotta get up early. Talk to you tomorrow though! wink ))
Kiba reached his 'secret' spot and stomped around a bit, careful not to crush any of the flowers though. He turned to ask Hinata where she thinks they'd look best but saw that she wasn't there. "Hinata?" he called out, sensing her but not as close as he liked. He put the flowers on the ground, then quickly headed back, not wanting anything to happen to her.
"No." Zabuza said, voice firm as he turned to face the boy. "I am capable of hunting for myself. Besides...I don't feed from animals." He looked at Haku, remaining silent, to see how he'd react to that.

Hinata slowly stood up and looked around. She wanted to cry but stoped herself. Every sound in the forest made her jump and turn to see what it was. Her fear made her think every noise was a vampire that, unlike Kiba a few others maybe, wanted to hurt her. "K-k-kiba-k-kun?" She called out soflty as she tried to find her friend. SHe was shaking and unsure if she was going to right way to Kiba's secret spot.

Haku nodded. "As you wish, Zabuza-san." He said as he took the meat off the fire. He took a piece of cloth and placed it out, placing most of the meat on it and tieing it off. He placed a few small pieces in his mouth and chewed on the, placing the rest of the wrapped meat into his lap, saving it.

Kiba heard Hinata calling and sped up his pace. He found her again still beside the brook, looking as frightened as a deer caught in headlights. "Hinata! I'm sorry I went ahead, are you alright?" he took her hand again after looking her over to make sure she wasn't hurt. "I'm really sorry, I just get lost in my thoughts sometimes."
"Stay here and do what you want. I'm going out." Without saying any more, Zabuza left the cave in search of his own meal. While he knew there were humans in the forest, he also knew that they were out of his reach...for the time being. Until he could get his hands on one, he'd just have to deal with another vampire. There was one he really wanted to get rid of too. With a devilish grin, Zabuza headed into the other vampires territory, hoping to kill him and the damn wolves.

Hinata buried her face into Kiba's chest and started to cry lightly. "I-i'm fine. I w-was j-just s-scared." SHe whispered, hugging him tightly. "I-it's okay. I-I would b-be m-mad t-too a-and I k-know y-you d-didn't m-mean to l-leave me a-alone." She looked up at him and gave him a watery smile.

Kiba cursed under his breath. No matter what I do, I wind up hurting her. This just proves that this is no place for her...and that me 'leaving' the village was a good thing. She'd probably have a horrible life if I was still there. "Come on, I won't let you go this time." He took one of her hands in his and began walking again.
No wonder the other vampires stay away from this guy. Zabuza thought as he hid in a tree, trying to come up with a better plan. So far his first had failed and he'd only managed to kill a few of the wolves. There was a deep gash in one of his arms and he was losing a lot of blood. I need to kill him with this next attack or I'll be the one dead. With a few more deep breaths to help focus his concentration, Zabuza jumped down from the tree onto the other vampire below him.

Hinata clutched tightly to Kiba's hand, still a little jumpy as they walked. "I... I k-knew y-you w-would come b-back for me, Kiba-kun." She whispered, glancing at him with her pale eyes. She gave him a small smile once she saw he was looking at her. "You never left me alone at the village when I was scared. I knew you wouldn't here either."

"What are friends for, right? I wouldn't have been a good friend if I wasn't there for you when you needed me. I just wish...things had gone better." He gave her a shrug and a smile. "I don't care too much anymore though. I think this place is better suited to me, the village was too confining."

HInata nodded. "Yeah...I guess it is." Then why does he want me to go back there s bad? Does he think I like being 'confined' SHe shook her head slightly, trying to get rid of those thoughts. No, he's just looking out for me. Just doing his best to keep me safe...he knows I'm a bad ninja and there's no way I could keep myself safe in here...Not even as a vampire.

Haku had found some piece of cloth and was boiling them incase zabuza came back wounded. This way he would have something clean to wrap the man's wounds with. It was the least he could do since the man had called him and saved his life.
