Kat gave an understanding nod "Well, I don't think it's right for others to shun people like us. And the sad thing is, people hide it from me, they act nice infront of me, then they do the exact opposite when I'm not around, and they know I sense it, they know I know they're lying to me, and still they continue on. I used to have a friend, whom I thought was accepting, kind, and very sweet, but it turns out that he didn't trust me. Seems as if a lot of people do that now a days." she said, giving a smile. "I think you're just as sane as any doctor or nurse or wrongly judged person in that room. Don't be like me, and believe for one second that you're not worthy of freedom. You are. And I believe you'll get it one day." she said smiling. She stood up, as the timer went off, she'd managed fifteen minutes without even touching his blood. "It was a pleasure meeting you. I'll be back to visit and talk to you often." she said, holding out her hand for him to shake.

"Perhaps the person is still the nice caring and sweet. Maybe their lack of trust has been set off by a past event or even your past. Whoever this is they may just be looking out for you the best way that they can, even if it means that they have to lose your love. I deserve freedom, but once the library is depleted then I will gain it." He then reached his hand up to Kat with the same blank expression on his face and lightly shook it. His grip was weak, his arms pale and his face drained. Calvin didn't seem to be in the best health. "It was a pleasure meeting you Kat. I hope to see you further. If you cannot tell, I am extremely happy for your success. Then again, no one really can tell." People started getting up writing their little comments on their clipboards as they began shuffling out of the room. Damien slowly made his way in and held out the bracelet. "I think you forgot this, and you were truly wonderful." He then kissed her on the cheek, but pulled away to look at Calvin. He sat there alone as he stared at the ground, his eyes pulling away from reality. Damien slowly walked up to Calvin and asked, "How did you know my name or how I wanted to speak to Kat?" Calvin looked up almost as if he were snapping back into reality, his mouth slightly open. "Knowledge can be contagious, and it seems I have caught whatever was in the air. I'm guessing love." Damien laughed a bit and began walking over to Kat, but Calvin's soft voice made Damien stop and look over to him. "It seems that they have forgotten me. Would you be so kind as to wheel me back? I can't make it through the halls on my own." He let out a loud cough and brought his hand up to cover his mouth. Damien slowly went around and grabbed the back of his chair and then said, "Sure, but first we need to see Kat's scores." Calvin simply stared up to Damien and replied, "Naturally."

Kat listened to him, and she nodded, showing she got what he said. "I guess so. I'll take that to heart." she said, nodding with a bright smile. "And even though every one else can't tell, I can sense it. And thankyou." she said, smiling. Kat looked at the bracelet and then she took it, giving a bright smile as she slipped it onto her wrist. She looked at Calvin to and she felt awful that the doctors had forgotten about him. She moved back over to Calvin and stood by him, glaring at every doctor that walked past as they looked at the kid as if he were a freak. After that, the doctor's glares soon dissapeared, and they turned their gazes to the ground. Kat gave a victorious smile as she turned her head up to look at the screen. She wrapped her hand around Damien's, and then she held out her other hand to Calvin. She brightly smiled and then after looking from Calvin to Damien she looked at the screen.

Damien crossed his fingers for Kat, but Calvin simply said, "You don't need to, she did great." Damien smiled over to the kid and then wrapped his hand around Kat's waist. The scores slowly came up. The chart read "71%" Damien quickly lifted Kat and twirled her as he laughed with joy. "Here come the comments." Calvin said as he watched the comments slowly pull down. "After Kat's many tests, she showed lots of control. I think Kat deserves a trial of freedom. Kat shows that she has control, but her last tests make me uneasy. The Little Psycho girl pulled through just as I expected -Anny. I had trust in Kat's control and thought that she would have completed with a slightly higher score, but sometimes trust is not enough -Cameron." Calvin then looked down at the bottom one and said "Well that one isn't very nice. It seems to be directed from some durogatory fellow named Donovan."

Before Kat knew it she was being twirled around in the air and she gave a bright smile. She giggled and looked at the scores as if she could not believe it. The feeling of her knowing that she could be free was wonderful. She felt bad about Cameron and decided to make it up to him, in her own way. Kat's eyes fell upon the last comment and anger boiled over. She felt a shiver run up and down her spine as she read it softly to herself outloud. "Kat's show of controlled bloodlust is merely an illusion. The girl is a monster, and should not be let out into the public. The girl is good at tricking people, don't be fooled by this act."-Donovan. Kat sighed and rubbed her temples, she didn't need that right now. "He is such a....Jerk.." she said softly, to herself. She shook her head but focused on the happy things and smiled, looking down to Calvin. "Let's go." she said nodding. "Thanks." she said smiling brightly. "I couldn't have done it without you." she said smilling at Calvin and then she turned to Damien and brought her lips to his. She pulled back after a moment and wrapped her arms around him. "Or you." she said smiling brightly.

"You could have. You showed control. I don't know what Damien has done for you, but I truly did nothing." Calvin said as he slowly pushed himself over so he was facing them. "You make a beautiful couple. Something out of a Charles Dickens book." Damien turned to him and then said "You little genius child." He then turned to Kat and slowly picked her up and gave her a light kiss. "I love you so much, don't change."

Kat giggled softly and shook her head slightly, knowing she couldn't argue with him. A soft blush came to her cheeks as Calvin mensioned they were a beautiful couple and she smiled. "Thanks." she said nodding. She then realized she was in the air before she felt Damien's lips to her own. She was still trying to take everything in, so her mind was moving just a tad slower. She smiled, wrapping her arms around him loosely and nuzzling his nose as she looked into his eyes. "I love you just as much. And I promise I'll never change. Just don't leave me..." she said softly, her voice fading to a soft, soothing whisper. As she held his face gently in her hands, she smiled brightly before pulling him into a hug. She was so happy, all the bad just seemed to wash away..

"I'm going to the library. You don't need to push me, I can go on my own." Calvin said as he began wheeling himself down the halls and took a right turn. Damien then looked over to her and said, "You do know that we could leave right now. We could get your forms and your certificate and leave this second. It's your desicion though, I have no one to say goodbye to. He then took a step back, but yelped as he tripped over Akimaru and hit the floor. Rina heabutted Akimaru lightly and said "That wasn't very nice." Akimaru looked over to Rina and said, "Maybe he should watch where he was going. I've been here for a while." Rina then walked over to Kat and stared up to her and continued. "But it seems that you were very nice. You did a good job, and I am curious who that little boy is. It is almost as if I had seen him before. Nevermind that, you did great." She shook her head almost trying to snap out of some trance.

Kat nodded, "Yeah, I told Smokey earlier that we'd get him at the end of the week. I need to discuss a few things with a few people, then he is free." she said smiling brightly. Kat was about to agree to leaving then she watched Damien fall and she looked at Akimaru. "You know, you shouldn't have been standing behind him." she said, before her gaze fell to Rina. "Thanks, Rina. His name is Calvin. He's a sweet child." she said, smiling at her once more before taking a step towards Damien and holding her hand out to him. "Shall we get out of here, clumsy?" she asked, giving a smile and a slight giggle. She took a breath, and looked around the room, knowing she would never see it again. Her eyes fell upon everything around her, and she almost felt like there was no longer a hole in her heart. She was free, she didn't have to suffer through experiments or though daily medications. No more sitting alone in a dark room counting down the seconds. She could be with Damien, she could free Smokey, and she had decided to do one more thing. "Can...We go to Mom's house first? I want to suprise Cameron before he gets home." she said smiling brightly as her gaze fell back down to Damien.

"No problem." Damien said as he looked at the many doctors now passing through the corridors. "Kat? That boy Calvin is not like you or me. Not like anything I have ever seen. Take caution in your step while near him." Akimaru stated blatantly as Rina walked over to him and again headbutted him. "That's not nice Akimaru! If she wants to see that boy than let her!" Akimaur then began growling and pacing slowly. "Rina, this is not about being nice, this is about Kat's safety! If you want to be with this boy so much, then at least let me be with you when he is with you!"

Kat looked down at Akimaru and she sent him an awful glare. "Since when has anyone been like a talking dog or an empath? There isn't anything wrong with him. So stop being so mean and judging. That's all anyone's ever done to that boy and me. I think he deserves a rightful chance." she said softly, folding her arms over her chest before she looked to Damien. "Let's go...We don't have very long." she said, before grabbing his hand and pulling him out of the room gently. She smiled brightly as she looked back at him before she stopped at the front desk to get her papers. She tapped her hands against the counter anxiously, and as soon as those papers were in her hand, Kat had her free hand wrapped around Damien and she was heading out the door.

Rina and Akimaru followed them slowly as they made their way to the front gate. Akimaru turned back slowly, as he heard only an echo. A whisper in the dark halls. "Goodbye Akimaru." He decided not to pay much attention to this as his mind was probably just playing tricks on him. Damien walkedwith Kat into the bright sunlight, holding her hand and smiling the whole way as they made it down to Mom's house. Mom was on her porch, drinking lemonade on the warm day and having a conversation with her neighbor next door who was sitting on the porch beside her. She slowly stared down at Kat and Damien as she smiled slowly over at them. Jack had somehow gotten into Damien's sleeve and he then said, "We got a hitch-hiker." Mom walked quickly over to Kat and gave her a good long huig before saying, "I missed you so much!" She then stared down to Rina and Akimaru before continuing, "I'll get the dog food, but I ain't cleaning up no poop."

Kat smiled at Jack and she pet his head gently. Before she realized it, Kat was in the arms of Mom once again, and she hugged her back. "I missed you too, Mom!" she said, giggling brightly. She looked to to Akirmaru and Rina and nodded, "They shouldn't make a mess." she said, looking at them to make sure they understood before turning back to Mom. "I know I sort of ditched you when we were supposed to make a salad together, so I was wondering if you could teach me and Damien how to make some cookies. I want to make some for Cameron because I know he loves them a lot and I sort of yelled at him and now I feel really really bad." she said, her explanation getting faster, the longer she spoke. She took a breath and then she gave an innocent smile. She then pulled Jack off of Damien and placed him on her shoulder, though he just climbed onto her head and began to play with a bit of her hair, squeaking as he did.

"You want to make cookies? Alright." She said as she then began leading them in and took them into the kitchen. Damien stared at the spices and different ingredients all over the wall. Rina and Akimaru followed them closely they watched Mom slowly unpack the supplies and ingredients. She then took a small not out of her drawer and said "This is my secret recipe Kat, and I am now giving it to you. Don't tell anyone! Not even if they beg!"
