that's the first time i've been called an angel :;teasingly:: usually it's a tad bit harsher... ::she seemed unaware of what was going through his mind, trying her best not to think of "what ifs"::

Cain laughed. "You are an angel, a godsend to sinful devils like me." he said, grinning though he meant it literally. She really had been there for him.

Cain laughed. "I'm a devil, like I said. I've done some bad things but I always try to make up for it." He was lucky he wasn't a normal human male or the words 'down on my knees' would have translated into a very vivid image.

Cain sat on his knees in front of her and hugged around her waist, laying his head on her stomach. "Thanks November." he said, smiling gently.

He nodded, tears slippig out of his eyes and onto her clothes. He didn't want to leave her, as much as he wanted to save Ueten he didn't want to leave November again. Despite loving Ran, November had been who he'd thought about while he was in limbo.

:;she felt the dampness from his tears even if she couldn't quite see them. blinking back her own she, pets his hair gently:: it'll be alright... i'll be right there waiting for you when you come back, promise ::firmly. she really didn't want him to go... Cain, male or female, human, demon, angel, two headed pig, it didn't matter... Cain was her first real friend and the most important person in her life... she didn't know how Cain had gotten that position and she didn't care. all that mattered was that she didn't want Cain to leave... but there was nothing they could do about it...::

His arms became a little bit tighter as he hugged her. "I know you'll be here, I just don't want to leave you." he said, still face down in her lap. For some reason leaving her seemed as bad as Ran falling love with Ranpha, maybe worse. They had become terribly close in a short time.

::she couldn't help the small tear that escaped. quickly brushing it away and mentally scolding herself for being weak when Cain needed her strong, she rubs his back genlty. if it hadn't been Cain, she wouldn't have even let him near her lap, let alone let him hide his face in it... but it WAS Cain, and all rules were diffrent for him... they just were, though she didn't know why:: i can't go with you? ::she asks hesitantly. if she could, she would in a second.. she wouldn't even give him a chance to say no. but she didn't think she could::

Cain seemed to be thinking, though it was hard to tell with his face buried in her skirt. "I don't know, I'm only supposed to go halfway in so you could hold onto my hand to pull me back out if needed I guess." he said, trying to go over the scenario in his head. It was odd but he'd never factored Novemeber helping him, or whoever, into the equation.

i can? ::softly, considering this. that would be almost like anchoring him... making sure he didn't get stuck in limbo... and if he did, then dang it all, she would go with him. he wouldn't be alone:: then i will ::firmly::

"alright." he said, not bothering to argue with her. His head still rested against her stomach and she made him feel very safe. Having her hold his hand while in limbo would make it alot easier.
