Our 2007 show was Turbine Fanfare!!! It was a lot of fun, but what did we form? A whole bunch of lines and circles, how does this relate to an airplane flying in the sky? It didn't even look like an airplane, in any part of the show. sweatdrop

our theme was world war II. we had some intro thing, boogie woogie bugle boy, schindler's list, trumpet duet of taps, and america the beautiful. it was okish show. we had one formation that was a flag (or at least was suppose to be) and we all kneeled during taps.

My marching band doesn't have themes, we just play pieces from each catagory, Jazzy, Slow and pretty, and an actual marching band piece. We played Hey Pachuco, Emperata overture, and i cant remember the slow one. sweatdrop
But we were pretty good, we got to finals. biggrin

This year we did Cirque Du Soliel: La Nouba and our movements were Distorted, Reve Rouge, Urban, and A La Lune.
Next Year [[2008]] we're doing like a variation of Phantom Regiment's '03 show "Harmonic Journey".

At my high school we did "rock of ages" we played music by: Chicago *one of the songs was 25 or 6 to 4 *my fave*, but i cant remember the others* The Beatles *getaway and september* Earth, Wind, & Fire *cant remember the song though*
I know some my high schools previous shows were: The phantom of the opera Letters from the front Grease
My high school is the second highest school to get the most division 1s out of the whole district!!! We have 69 years so far!!!!
AND the band also marched in the rose bowl parade like in 2004 i think...i wasnt there when they did go...i was only in like 7 or 8 grade

This year we did Earth wind and Fire. We played September, After the Love is gone, and In the stone. I thought it was a pretty cool show. We needed more brass though... Next year we're doing a rock show that I get to arrange! Hoorah!

the best marching show that my high school has done in my four years was freshman year. we did planets (the classic ones cant think of the composer though). our band marching director was a huge dork and he made our whole show. we had these huge wooden planets on the field placed exactly proportionatly where they were in real life at the time. we made comets and shooting stars that moved across the field. i cant remember one of the four but we definitely did mars, venus, and jupiter. we had one set that we were all grouped in small circles and each circle rotated around. it was so much fun and we got start 1s and went to area where we sucked cause people who put the planets on the field misplaced them razz
