Heather smiled, though it would be nice to see the two get on it didn't seem right for Kala. "Maybe.."

She looked at Amkia and knelt to his level. "Look, you are bigger then her, alot bigger and you have wings mister. You could fly away from her, you can fly with Secra!" it worked Amkia smiled and nodded.

"Yes we are ready to look." At last...This was turning out to be a rather dramatic stay.

Susa nodded and began the search, with Heather behind her. It wasn't long before they found, near the edge of the throng... a familiar little leopard, looking as if to pounce on something.

"Is that.. um... her?" Susa whispered, not knowing why in the huge crowd her voice had ironed out so.

"This must be the Blossomary (god, if I can ever get the word right, a flower tribute." DeArca said and then picked up Ash by the tail. "Don't run away like that...what if we got in trouble?" He asked and Ash squeaked innocently. DeArca sighed and shook his head. "Come on....lets find the gardens...we have a lot of ground to cover...and this time, we're following everyone else, got it" He asked and Ash squeaked happily again. DeArca sighed and then turned to his tellbook. "Let's see if an answer was made yet. Maybe we'll get some information on the Crystallette?" He asked, picking it up, writing in it.

Tellbook,

What is the....crystal-item....that the priests and priestesses talk about? Can you give me information on it. Also, where may I find whiteberry wine?

He closed his book and turned to Ash. "If the tellbook has the power to respond, hopefully its with good news." he said, walking away.

Heather looked where Susa was pointing and nodded. "Thats Kala. You mind watching Amkia while I go and get her? I will probably need two hands to keep her under control!"

She looked down at Amkia, "Will you stay here and wait?" She kissed his forehead and smiled, "Thank you."

Amkia looked somewhat upset but let go of Heathers hand and put his hand in Susa's instead.

He smiled. "Oh... she must have come from the Marsh. Dad's a big Marsh Fan." Corman called out to his left. "DAAAAAAD!" It was a croaking, hideously loud noise.

A tall man looked up over the heads with a scowl on his face. "Why bellow?"

Corman shrugged. "This lady wants to see you. She's been looking for you."

Crick looked for the woman in question, only to see Irina... and smile. He ducked back into the throng and was near them in a few seconds.

"Hello," he said, standing next to the son who looked nothing like him. "You were looking ... for me?"

"Yes, from what I understand, she did come from the Marsh. Her object was made there actually," Irina said, spilling what she knew about the pendant.

She was surprised at the depth and loudness of Corman's voice, and she saw the man, Crick peer above the crowd. In no time, he was next to her with a smile on his face.

"Hello. You're Crick, right? I've been told to look for you. Somehow, you're supposed to help me. I was given a strange fortune by my...well, my friend Oscar, a fortune-telling statue, not long ago. It told me that you could help. My banya also spouted some strange words as well, right before Oscar made his prediction. Here's the part I found to be most important:

Find her white fire,
And Babe Shall Be.
...Peculiar.

Does this mean anything to you?" she asked, hoping he'd have some idea of what it was about.

"No... the mother is never a member of our Sect. We have devoted ourselves to the service of the Spirit... but it requires a mother, an upbringing. This we could not give. How could we ever tell the child no, or to discipline it, our Savior? No, for this task... it chooses a very special woman. One who possesses... something it seeks." The priest's eyes were moist. "It's a beautiful thing to behold."

Mirela considered the priests words, unable to find a logical answer to his question - despite having deemed the enquiry rhetorical. “Is it hard?” the young woman asked, shrugging away her search for answers in favour of asking more questions, “to devote yourself to a Spirit; something you cannot see, perhaps not even feel, yet commit yourself to entirely?”. Smiling softly at the open expression of emotion, the way in which the man was moved, Mirela become all the more eager, yet at the same time humbled, at being given the opportunity to bare witness to such a special event. “What does the Spirit seek?” she asked in a hushed whisper, as if the sudden fervour had called for a softer approach, “or is that way there are so many women headed for the gardens? Because you are unsure what will appease the Spirit most?”

The Crystallaureate is Illyana... but not Illyana as you knew her. It is not a woman, but it is not an object- it is both, and contains both.

Whiteberry wine will be served in shallow white basins at the festival.

Susa looked down at where her hand connected to Amkia's. She smiled down at the boy. He was very beautiful- almost feminine. She couldn't believe his sister would be so alternately terrible.

"Now," the priestess said, glad that the woman drank the concoction. She'd be much easier to manage, now. "You're not going to be such a hard little nut to crack will you?" She took her arm again and led her with the flow of the crowd.

Caroline smiles inanely, a change for the innocent from her normal wry grin. "I'm already about as cracked as ye get," she says.

Rojiza tightens her grip on her mother's hand and vows not to drink anything offered her. Honestly, adults are so stupid.

"Oh, those banyas." He laughed. "So damn cryptic for the simplest things. White fire is a traditional MarshTreat that is made up of white toadstools pressed into little baubles. It's called white fire because it's so spicy it could burn your tongue off. ...Not really." he laughed. "It is hot, though. It shouldn't be too hard to find on a festival day. In fact..." he looked around... "if you ask your priestess, she could summon a food bearer. I thought I saw something with some WhiteFire in it on one of those trays." Then he looked at Kal, and smiled, waving at the little Fortunette. He remembered fondly those days when his son was a little frog. He even looked at his son with those fond eyes.

Corman just rolled his bulbous eyes. Fathers could be such sentimental embarrassments. Especially in front of pretty ladies.

He smiled, and came closer to Gwynna. She was a beautiful woman- and it was not a coincidence that Orrel wanted to be nearer to her.

"Oh no. I'm a member of the Icarus Protectorate- a normal man, except for the wings... which were earned."

Nusa held out her furry arms, wanting to examine Orrel's wings more closely. She chittered softly to herself, little noises of amazement and general good-will.

The gypsy woman smiled up at him. The Icarus Protectorate rang vaguely familiar in her mind, and earning wings.... She doubted Orrel was as normal as he claimed. "Earned how?" Gwynna enquired. Someone in the caravan would want to know about this, she was sure, and she certainly didn't mind Orrel's proximity.

Heather smiled thankfully at Susa and rushed over to Kala.

"Kala stop it!" She managed to grab the back of her neck. Green eyes looked up at her not feeling exactly happy.

"Look stop running away, we have to stay together, silly girl!" She sighed and pulled her over to Susa and Amkia. Heather tightened her grip on the leopard.

As expected the sight of Amkia made Kalas fur stand on end, not from fear but of anger. She hissed and growled and would have pounced at him if Heather hadn't been holding her.

Amkia, hid behind Susa.

An hour passed as DeArca sat down, sighing, tired from walking. He reached in his pack, pulling out his Tellbook as he opened it, flipping the pages. "Hey...it responded. Look, Ash" he asked and Ash squeaked, jumping on the book. DeArca read....becoming entirely confused. "Its her...but its not her? Not woman or object...but both? What is this....that doesn't make sense?" he asked, wanting to write again, but his pen was gone. "Darn, the Tellbook must be unable to respond again....I'll have to wait later. But lets ask where the....Shallow White Basins are" He said, walking away to a priest. "Excuse me, sir...where is the shallow white basins?"

That the Candidate asked questions seemed to please the man, for the color in his cheeks, as covered as they were in his white marks, was healthy and happy, and he smiled to the foodbearers as they passed, as if to say "look at her", this one I have here.

"The Spirit is only intangible before it chooses. Or perhaps it does not choose- perhaps it's known all along who is meant to be its mother. It's not for us to know. But in any case, once it is one with its mother, it is like any other infant... and is born... and lives, and grows almost liken to any other child. And yes," he said, his voice as before, "it's no secret, that is why so many different sorts of women gather in the gardens. So that whatever it seeks... there it shall be."

Irina couldn't help but laugh aloud. "Rydell is quite a cryptic bird. I always get the most severe messages, and they never turn out to be as dramatic as I think they're going to be," she laughed, a blush rising to her cheeks. "Why I've never heard of White Fire before! That's good information to know I think. I wonder if Kal will like typical Marsh food.

Is Corman from the Marsh as well?" she asked, curious. As a frog, she thought it was highly possible. "Well then, I'll just have to ask, won't I? My, that was far easier than I thought it would be!" She giggled again, and looked over her shoulder to see her priestess not far away. The woman seemed to be watching her closely. "Well thank you for the information Mr. Crick. I do appreciate it." Irina patted his shoulder and Kal lifted a paw at him, as if to wave. "We should swap stories sometime. I'm sure your caravan is busy all the time, just like ours."

"By finding and completing an Icarus Protectorate TriRune," he explained, drawing even a mite closer. "It's a long, dashing tale of questing and valor... and more luck than was due me, I'm sure," he laughed. "But it's not quite so interesting as you, Lady Gwynna."
