VioletEyedDemon I think, 7 year old software, is most likely the crappy software. . . The only reason it could become crappy, if EVER, is if Microsoft decides to drop support for it, which they will, because they want to steal my money, and make me buy a new OS, but I don't want to, because it's so damn expensive. Also, Kim should tell me what version of Frozen Throne she's runnin'. talk2hand

Win2k is fine... It's WindowsNT 5.0 and XP is 5.1. So XP is just 2000 with more spit polish and takes up more memory. Only problem is they stopped releasing security fixes for it, so you kinda have to have a firewall to use it online. A lot of gamers run it 'cause it sucks up less RAM.

I'm a true gamer cool ...and no, you don't need a firewall if you don't plan on accessing shady sites, or personally pissing off any hackers with skill enough to get your IP address. talk2hand Oh, and sorry, Velette, Kim, that I was right AGAIN! geez... I should quit doing that, eh? Oh, and on a minor note, in a couple of days, Kim... I'm gonna have to severely kick your a** in WarIII pirate

My mom, tried making a pot roast in a casserole dish, this morning.
Sad to say, the casserole dish exploaded into a million tiny pieces, and is now dead.

Yep, it pays the bills.
@arakimos: I wouldn't be too sure about going without a firewall... there are enough remote exploits out there and more every day that you could just get scanned and end up on a botnet. The internets are scurry.

Also, there isn't anything in the 'verse that can't be fixed on a computer by a full hard drive wipe. razz Well... software-wise, that is.
