Cora laughed lightly at Eggie's behaviour. She couldn't help but find him one-of-a-kind as she had never met anyone quite like him before. She smiled, much more confident around him then she had been earlier. She flipped through her book, and finding what she was looking for, she spoke quietly once again. "Would you lik to hear another song? I wrote it a while ago... but I think you might... like... it."

"Ohhh yes! Sing to me more, Cora the Singing Friend!"
Eggie plopped down indian-style on the forest ground and folded his paws neatly in his lap. He was ready to listen.

Cora smiled lightly before glancing down at her book. She had written the song so long ago she just needed to look at the beginning so she could sing it properly. She started to hum a soft tune the lasted only a moment before she started to sing the words. It was a slow, soft song about the various things in nature. It wasn't just about the nature on land, but the nature in the ocean too. She had decided on this song because it matched the rythm of the trees and ocean. When she was done singing she looked down at the ground, waiting to see if she was right when she thought he would like it.

Eggie loved nature, and the words of her song spoke to him in a way that no song ever had. His eyes were wide with wonderment, and his mouth agape, as if he couldn't find the words to tell her how much he'd enjoyed it. Instead he stood up and threw his arms around her in a big hug.
"Cora the Singing Friend's songs are the most beautiful Eggie has ever heard. See listen..."
Eggie backed away and cupped his paw to his ear.
"Even the birdies are quiet to listen to your song."
And he was right, not a single bird was singing.

Cora smiled and mimiced his action of listening to the natural sounds and was suprised when she found none. She started laughing lightly. She never heard the forest, or anything else in nature so quiet. Of course if she listening close enough she could hear a stream, but that was about it. "Wow. I've never heard it so quiet..." She listened to the silence for a moment before turning her attention back to Eggie and what he had said about her songs. She smiled, extremely happy for the compliment for some reason. She said a quiet, "Thank you," before giving him a quick hug of her own, after which she blushed. She had never done anything so... bold? before.

Eggie blushed himself at the hug. He placed his paws over his cheeks and turned his head shyly, embarassed of how red he'd turned. This made him start to laugh at himself, which made him feel more at ease and he turned back to his new found friend.
"Cora, you are a good singing friend."
He smiled up at her, his eyes full of cheer.

Cora smiled at Eggie's reaction to the hug. She was actually glad she wasn't the only one blushing anymore. She smiled brightly, doing her best to ignore the fact that she herself was blushing as well. "Thank you. You're a good-" She had to pause to try and think of a word. She was going to say eccentric, and although she had a feeling he wouldn't take that as an insult, she didn't think he was quite eccentric. Instead she just settled on simple words that she had told him earlier. "-odd friend."

Eggie found this most delightful and extremely amusing. He burst out into a fit of laughter, holding his paw over his stomach for emphasis. He liked that. "odd friend". She would be his singing friend, he would be her odd friend, and this made him happy.

Cora tilted her head when he started laughing. Was he laughing at her? For some reason she knew, even if that was the case, that it wasn't to make her feel bad. She found herself laughing with him, even though she didn't know what she was laughing about, his laugh seemed contagious. When she called down enough she remained smiling. "Would... you like to take a walk with me?"

"Eggie would love to take a walk!" he said, jumping to his feet. He offered Cora his arm in a most gentlemanly manner, a bit sheepish grin on his face. Eggie always tried to be as chivalrous as possible.

Aoi Shinu Mor smirked. He couldn't tell if this girl was shy and timid or outspoken and bold. He guessed it just depended on a changing mood or something. Whatever the case, he knew he wanted to see more of her too. He stopped and let her arm go. They'd gotten a way away from the house by now and he walked over to a tree to lean against it, watching her.
"I've never known what it was like to be along. I always had my family around. I do know that you have to pick and choose who you're pleasant to outside of your family though."
He smiled at her, a sign for her that he'd chosen to be pleasant with her after he'd gotten to know her a little.~ Velvet smiled at her mate a took her seat, spreading a linen napkin over her lap. She really did have something of a perfect family, in her eyes at least. She looked up as the kids started in. Emrys got up and headed toward the kitchen. He gave his sister a playful shove and a brotherly smile before sitting down and sniffing the air. "Mmmmm....smells great.""Well thank you, you too. Your father helped."She smiled at Ris again as he went to his seat, then she picked up a fork and began to twirl her noodles. "Iro, so tell me. Where did you plan on getting these earrings of yours?" "Yeah I've been very picky, so far your the only one I have gotten along with. I'm glad."
She walked over to him and sat on the ground on the side of the tree pulling all here silver hair forward. Lascial pulled out a braid and re-did it then moving onto the next one. ~ Iro frowned playfully at her brothers shove. "Whatch it." She smiled to assure she wasn't annoyed. She sat "Looks great! Thanks." She beamed and picked up her silverware and began eating. "It's good."Ris smiled and looked at his children and then his wife before eating, it was what he always dreamed. A family of his own sitting together all happy. "Iro? You going to answer your mother." She swallowed her mouthful. "Well I am not entirely sure yet. I've just been looking. If you guys have a suggestion I'm welcome to it."

Cora looked at his arm for a moment before taking it. She started to walk. She didn't know where she was going but it was a nice day, so a walk would be alright. "So..." She said, her voice quiet again, unsure of what to say. "Do you live somewhere around here?"

A smirk came over Mor's lips and he leaned back, watching her. He was quiet...he didn't feel as though he really had to say anything. He just watched her, toying with her hair. In truth, she was a pretty girl. Older than him, yes, but he found himself strangely attracted. Maybe it was his maturity level...or something else all together...who knew.
~
Velvet thought for a moment, "Hmm....honestly I don't know. It's been so long since I've gone into town, I have no idea what sorts of shops they have out there now. I suppose it will just have to be an adventure."
Emrys simply shoveled his dinner into his mouth. He didn't want to get himself into trouble with this topic...and he knew he would. He'd be against it forever he supposed.
~
"Oh yes, Eggie lives riiiiight on the other side of the river. Just a little house, very nice, very nice."
The truth was, Eggie hardly spent any time in his house at all. It was there, but he tended to fall asleep in the woods most nights. Odd, very odd, but it never caused him any harm. Not yet anyhow.
"Where does Cora live?"

Lascial finished her briads and threw them behind her. She drew her knee up to her chest and sat there looking out staring at the sky. "I have enjoyed spending time with you. But maybe it's time for me to go. I feel like I have been here too long. So..." she slowly rose and brushed herself off. "I am going to go for today." In truth she never wanted to leave but didn't want to bruden him. So she thought this the best thing to do. "Uhm, well." she spoke hesitantly. "I'll see you around?"
She started to walk off into some random direction knowing she was in a more subtle way running away again.
~
Iro smiled. "Well as long as there is a place that has hoops. I like hoop earrings."

Cora thought for a moment. "Not far, I guess. I live in a house by the lake. It's pretty, so I like it there. I even have a small room... that I use as a... studio." She smiled. She liked her house, it was small but it was the right size for her. She loved that it had a spare room that she had set up with a desk and recorder so she could write her music in peace, but that didn't change the fact that she loved to come out and relax and sing outside, where most of her insiration was, in nature.
