Ciyari doesn't notice the head - not at first, anyways. Her eyes are half-shut in bliss, and she yawns, curling up further against the tree in a little ball of warmth.
The vultures have started to move back in on the kill, and are rapidly starting to demolish it again.

Noticing the birds have returned to pick on the kill Dafina stares at them. Would she dare to fight them for the last remaining pieces? Or would she let them have it?
Her stomach lurched as the smell of the food drifted over to her.
Dafina's mind made itself up right then and she decided that she wouldn't let the overgrown birds have the rest of the meal.
With a fierce war growl, she leapt to do battle with them.

(Don't know where they went, Oni...hmm.)
Ciyari's brain notes movement close by. She manages to pry an eye open, watching as Dafina makes her way towards the kill. It's a cub...a cub? Her eye peeks open a little more. A lioness cub. Like her. In her territory. Well, that just won't do. She gets up doggedly onto all fours and makes her way towards Dafina, gait slightly staggering and lazy. She really doesn't want to move.

Dafina makes her way to the birds, not noticing the other lioness cub. She barrels through them, startling them at first. But they do not remain startled for long. They fly back down with intentions of making sure Dafina doesn't get any of the meat that's left.

Reverting back into the trees, Kasida felt more at home. Nothing could get her up here (or so she thought), and it was peaceful.. She snorted at the thought of lions roaming the jungle. Easing herself down on a thick branch, thoughts of lions swirled through her mind. Where had the sudden population burst come from? Filthy lions.. Her spotted ears were fattened against her skull, her tail twitching in a show of irritation before she was torn from her thoughts by a loud monkey call. It made her jump a bit, and the branch shook slightly.

Detecting movement in the tree he was now perched in, Kitambi keenly gazed through the branches above himself, before turning to those below. In the latter part of the search, he picked up the form of a young femme of his own species, coloured similarly to himself. Grinning evilly, the young leopard dropped his tail down to the close branch, tickling her ear with the tip.

The cub's ear flicked slightly and she scratched at it with her hind paw. Kasida didn't take any notice other than that, though. By now she was use to falling leaves or pesky bugs. Watching the dancing shadows of the tree as the wind blew through its leaves, the leopard was unaware of Kitambi's presence.

Frowning at her apparent nonchalance, Kitambi simply shrugged, resuming the pestering a little more obviously, drooping himself across the branch that his tail may dip lower. The thought of this mischief amused the young leopard, while it was no grand adventure, it would do for light amusement, and to puzzle another certainly amused him.

Shaking her head this time, she found whatever was pestering her was not letting up. Endless.. twitching.. Kasida could not stand it anymore. Jumping to her feet she cried out. "Stop it!" But what she saw almost made her fall from the branch. Clinging to the branch with her razor sharp claws, she looked up into the face of Kitambi. It was a leopard. Another leopard pestering her! Kasida was slightly embarrassed. "Oh, sorry.."

Popping his head down to watch her react, a gurgle of laughter escaped the leopard's throat. "Stop what? Whatever do you mean?" Feigning innocence as best he could for roughly two seconds, the cub quickly erupted into a fit of laughter, gasping for air between chuckles.
