Kibo holds his palm up, and a small glowing spirit orb floats from it. It floats next to Kibo, then changes to a disc-like shape. The center recedes, revealing a hole. Kibo reaches inside, and pulls out a fancy-looking rapier, and some more heavily adorned clothes.
Kibo: It's amazing what a shave, new clothes, and some persuasive words can do.

Kibo: Now, think about it. Say a British officer comes across our ship, and decides to give it a closer look. Now, I know this ship can't stand up to a fully armed British battalion ship. Now, as an Admiral, I can order him to leave my ship. Also, I can sail into almost any harbor I want without running the risk of having the ship searched. And that's just off the top of my head. If I think about it more, I'm sure there are plenty more reasons why this was a good decision. Besides, if I'm caught, I'm already facing the gallows. Now, I have a bit of sway, if we ever get caught. No king wants to reveal that he let a pirate become an Admiral, much less by bribery. We can use this to get full, or at least partial pardons, if the need arises.

Ranu crossed his arms watching Kibo, "And what if the French, Spanish or Dutch get hold of us?" He asked. "Its alll very well having a British rank, but what about the other nations? They'd delight in knowing such a thing occured."
