squshi Hari-Ito This year, we're doing the show WICKED!!! as in the broadway musical! ^-^ its awesome! Oh, and we're gonna be marching in the.... MACY's FREAKING THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE!!!! NO FREAKING WAY!!!!! we were going to, but i guess we're not cool enough... and i'm totally listening to the wicked sound track right now... it's great... which songs from it? We've got 1."No One Mournes the Wicked" 2."I'm Not that Girl" 2 1/2. "The Wizard and I" 3. "For Good" 4. "Defying Gravity" They all sound awesome!

bexterzblue I'm sorry if I spell this wrong..Jekell and Hyde. 3 selections form that..I'm not sure what three songs though..I love the music. biggrin I heard a band performing Jekyll and Hyde music the other day. It was some of the coolest music ever! ^^

We're playing some really cheesey music..."What Freedom Lies in Flying"
It really fun and all, but our marching sucks, and we haven't finished it yet. We still have a few more sets.
We had our first competeion yesterday though, it was really fun. We scored 1st - colorguard 2nd-Drum Line and 1st- Band...
There was one other band in our division....We're 3A....Which means the other band had to have really sucked, (No offense if your from that band) Because two people fell while marchiing....

crucify_myself The Beatles Ala Jazz! Magical Mystery Tour, Can't Buy Me Love, Something. HAHAHHAAA!!!!! YA'LL ARE DOING MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR!!!!!! Bad a** music, You are going to do Beatles stuff! Really neat, if done nicely. HOlmes Highschool (TExas) They're doing it. Good drumbreak in there too I might add. We're doing Eric Whitacre music (awesome stuff) and our show is called..."Pathways". I'm gonna try and bribe my director to do Incredibles stuff next year. Whoo...but for now...we focus on UIL. hoooooooly crap.

Ours is Music of the World.
It's really great, with four tunes. The 2nd's rather athletic. And we totally got best music out of 25 bands at the Virginia Hermatige Classic.

Mine is Phantom of the Opera. We have a male and female drum majors so the guy wears the Phantom mask and the girl has her hair curled like that actress in the Phantom movie.

It would be so awesome!! it is so much fun! in the opener, we start out in a giant sunburst. Then we start to play the beginning of "No One Mourns the Wicked" and a giant witch's hat just starts to rise out of the center! we have the coolest props this year... oh, and in "Defying Gravity," there are gonna be giant platforms rising off the ground when we get to the actual main melody part! IT SO FREAKIN ROCKS!!!

Props are only for bands that make fundemental mistakes so they have to get teh audiences attention in a diffrent way <3

We march our show with out props and we get just as good of ratings as we do with them. it has nothing to do with distraction. who told you that, anyway?

we doing a cross between pink floyd and the wizard of oz... when u start the dark side of the moon cd it's suppose to line up with the wizard of oz... u suppose to start it up right when the lion roar's for the third time...
and i just have to wonder how messed up were the guys that figured this out... they must of been freaking out when they noticed that...
