She smiled and sat down her cup before pulling out the chair and sitting down. "It's nice to meet you Sophiel. I'm Catori or Cat for short." She sipped lightly as her drink before sitting it down again. "I'm not bothering you...am I? I just saw you over here by yourself and thought I'd come over. I've yet to meet that many students."

"You're not bothering me," Sophiel insisted, gently shaking her head. "I'm very pleased to meet you, Catori." She smiled, brushing back the braided raven locks that framed her face, and glanced down at her coffee, unable to meet Catori's gaze for too long.
"I haven't met many myself," she admitted after a moment's pause. "I don't have many friends." At this statement, she flushed a bit, realizing how pathetic it must sound.

"Not many friends? But you're so pretty!" A faint blush came to her cheeks when she said that but it was the truth. The girl had lovely blue eyes and dark hair to match, nothing like her own mess of plain brown curls. "I don't really have many friends either. My brother says it's because I'm too obsessed with dragons." Catori shrugged then sipped at her drink again.

Orion folded the corner of his book to mark his stopping place. He finished the last sip of his chai and took the cup to the counter before walking out the door.

Sophiel blinked and snapped her gaze up from her mug to Catori. No one had ever called her pretty before. She felt her own blush deepen in response to the compliment, and her smile widened. "Thank you," she said sincerely, and tilted her head slightly. "Dragons...? That's very dangerous. Have you seen one in person?"

Catori shook her head. "No, but I really want to. My brother always teases me about it. Says I'm too old for such obsessions." She made a face at her cup then sipped at the drink inside. "It's silly...I know...but I know I'm not the only one with obsessions..."

Sophiel leaned forward slightly, cupping her hands around the warm cup of coffee. "Too old...?" she asked. "I don't think that's true. I think there are certainly weirder hobbies out there, and learning as much as you can about dragons could one day help you become something great. I think anyone who can respect the might of a dragon is admirable and worthy of respecy." Despite the characteristic softness of her voice, her words were firm with confidence in her statement.
"I don't think it's silly, at all."

"You don't? Well, thank you. I hope, someday, that I'll be able to work with dragons. It's been my goal since I entered school." She fiddled with her cup, lightly rolling it between her hands. "How about you? Do you have any goals for when you complete school?

*Viktor entered with a self assured swagger. In his mind he was the most attractive boy in this place. He had heard that the food was decent so he had come to see for himself. Raised in a Slytherin household he was arrogant, conceited, and oh so spoiled*
*Liegia watched a slytherin creep walk in and nearly gagged on her drink. Just the site of him made her sick and she gossiped about it to her nearby friends from HufflePuff*

A wistful smile flitted over Sophiel's features as she looked down at the table. "I think I'd like to be a teacher," she said softly. It wasn't as exciting or adventurous as a dragon trainer, but it was something she'd been wanting to do for a long time. "Hogwarts has meant so much to me. I'd like to give something back."
When the fair-haired Slytherin entered, she glanced up, watching him strut. She blinked, and turned back to Catori with a bemused expression.

Hearing the door open, Catori looked over curiously then rolled her eyes. Slytherin, of course. He's not so great... She then looked back to Sophiel and shook her head, taking another sip of her drink. "A teacher? That sounds like fun. What subject would you teach?"

When Catori rolled her eyes, Sophiel giggled slightly, covering her smile with her hands. At her question, she idly tapped her fingernail against her cup. "Transfiguration, I think. It's what I'm best at, though I wouldn't mind attempting to make History of Magic more enjoyable for people." Remembering the ghostly Professor Binns, she winced slightly. Even she had problems enduring his seemingly endless classes, despite the fact that she enjoyed the subject outside the classroom.
She smiled at Catori, raising her coffee to her lips. "Do you have any classes at school that you like?"

Catori smiled when she laughed. "Professor Binns is nice and all...but I do think you, or at least someone, would make it a little more lively." She finished off her drink and fiddled with the cup between her hands. "Well...I think my favorite class would be Care of Magical Creatures. There are so many interesting things that the professor brings in. It's just too bad that he can't bring in a dragon...even a baby one." She knew dragons were dangerous and not allowed unless they were needed for special purposes but she could always dream.

*Luel held the door for Marie and allowed her to enter first. He noticed an awful lot of hogwarts students and hoped he would be picked for the teaching position. He knew a lot about potions and alchemy although he had heard that you did not always get to teach the subjects one was truly proficiant in.*
*Viktor ordered a Royale sundae and sat down to eat it having the wrong impression that the girls that were staring and gossiping about him was a good thing. He tossed his head and otherwise behaved like a typical showoffy jerk trying to impress others to hard.*
*Liegia had to go to the bathroom to properly explode into giggles at this poor rabbles behavior. He may have been raised in a wealthy family but they sure couldnt afford manners now could they?*

Marie walked inside, smiling when Luel held the door open for her. With a quick glance around, she spotting Catori and gave her a small wave before moving off to a table.
Catori watched Marie walk in...with a rather cute guy...and she waved back to her. That's when she caught a glance of the Slytherin guy trying to showoff. She snorted in attept to keep her laughter from bubbling out, her hand moving to cover her mouth. A fit of silent giggles then came over her. Oh my... That guy's too full of himself.
