As the claws cut into Talia's arm, Larrisa cried out in her head, 'That's not Ruby! Ruby knows Laurel - she said so! It must be the other one!'
Talia snatched the teddy bear from under her arm and threw it a Ruby's face, shouting, "Loreez, KILL!" and swung Soul Stealer at her legs.

Ruby moved at high speed, always naturally swift. Her mind worked while she ran, trying to decide the best course of action. She was still too weak to fight, and Ruby herself didn't exactly want to kill Talia, even if Scarlet did. She settled on heading towards a crowded area, if she couldn't lose her from straight speed, she might be able to lose her in a crowd. She turned towards the Dementia club, the neon lights flashing ahead, just a ways up the street.(9 2 40)

Talia chased after her, on legs strengthened by years of walking through the wilderness. Prompted by Larrisa, she called out, "Stop! Theif!" hoping that the crowd would slow the fake Ruby down. As they ran, Larrisa used the energy she had absorbed to stop Talia's bleeding.

The crowd was a bit more concerned by the person carrying a sword--an illegal weapon--rather than the idea of a theif, so they did little to stop Ruby as she moved into the club.

Talia slipped back into the Library, and finds the teddy bear under the Librarian's desk. As she straightens up, she sees the name plaque: Laurel Talbot. That's her! Larrisa yelled in her head, We've found her! But where is she?

A wraith slips through into the library. The thing catches sight of Talia "I found her... it whispers to itself in its low raspy voice and tells its master where she is.

Laurel drags herself in, worn out from the fighting at the dome. She makes it about halfway to her desk before she notices the bedraggled woman with the sword, and behind her, in the shadows..."Daddy?"

Seth ignors Laurel as a pair of life sucking tendrils slither down from each of his forarms and stretch across the floor in Talia's direction. Seth's undead form emits a cold feeling in the area.
"That sword you carry it belongs to me and I would verymuch like it back woman."
Laurel would easily be able to tell that there is something not right about her father at all.

Talia saw the young girl enter. "Lori?" she asked, "Are you Lori?" She started to shuffle forward. She noticed that the girl was staring past her just as she heard the voice from behind. She turned and backed away from what she saw. "No! You can't take Larry! Larry's my friend and she needs to find Lori..."

"Larry? No the sword is called Soul Stealer I would very much like to have it back!" Seth says as the tendrils raise up and shoot out at Talia attempting to latch onto her and draw her life out.

She asked Talia, "That was my mother's...where did you get it?"
