Hans Mueller does anyone have a Basilisk in ther army and if so does it realy work to take out a lot of enemys? Look at the ordnance blast marker, isn't that proof enough? Just give it the indirect fire upgrade, as direct fire tends to be suicidal in some cases...

so what gives with the dirty dozen? i can understand how increasing the number of models in the army can help, but why in the world did shiv, fingers, ox, animal, and the rest get the shaft?!?!?!?!
there is only Schaeffer and Kage now. whoopity-doo!
everyone else is so bland. i miss the flavor of the dirty dozen as survivers. now they are just cast aside. how does that make everyone else feel?
(granted they would never stand up in 1500 pt tourney, but many other games they are a great little army.)

On the one hand the old Last Chancers, with the Chapter Approved rules and not those listed in the old Codex: Imperial Guard could wreak serious havoc, but some weren't as effective. And they require hella care and timing to be super effective.
The new rules allow for a small Penal platoon, which can be more effective with larger sub-groups and veterans with stolen crap. My only boon is that they shouldn't have slotted Kage in with the entry. Kage is dead, so what use it he now! Besides, he prefers lasguns and knives over a bolt pistol damnit!

Ach, for the last time, get a friggin' rulebook already, that's a sure shot at knowing a whole lot more then asking us here to just quote the enitre thing.
On a note for people who know what they are talking about, has anybody here got any experience with Hellhound tanks?

I never liked that Basilisk tank. I always spent my points on another Leman Russ, or some form of hard hitting infantry.

Although I do have to agree with the leman Russ being a better buy. armor 14 lets it live much longer than it really should.

That's because Imperial Guard tanks are for real men and not power armoured pansies that think that their tactics are superior to that of the real fighting arm of the Imperium! xp

One will not allow you to use money on the other.
