Cagalli Yura Attha BaneTheSlayer I undestand that the Imperium hares aliens but what if the aliens wish to serve the Emperor? well, I would guess talks would be possible.. but the Emperor does forbid anything not human. What I don't understand is he also forbids psykers, so Librarians and their familiars should NOT exist. The Emperor doesn't forbid psykers. However, the Inquisition considers psykers witches. The only thing wrong with psykers, for the most part, is that they can be possesed by the deamons of the Warp. But the emperor does not forbid them, he just puts them all in the Guard or Astro, so most of them die. sweatdrop

I play Black Templar... they are accually not stacked at all, the merely have a few more special rules, then tonnes of squad penilties... like you're not allowed just scout squads, they must be incorperated into another space marine squad, and you can't have a devistator squad... so... yeah...
But i was talking to some of the guys at my local GW and they said that they're making a codex for the BT, so most of these rules or "horrible kicks in the pants" will be changed... hopefully.

so... how about all that new stuff for the Space marines... Personally i'm really looking forward for the new Calgar, it looks soooo sweet, he's in terminator armour! and it comes with an honour guard, but i think their helmets look kind of silly... and the new tech-marine, thats cool as well...

Yep, still, that had to suck for the old Imperial Fist leader, materializing with his left side in a solid stone wall. Ouch!

*Watches some guants munch on dead Marines* Marines are a--Dare I say it?--N00b army. *The audiance gasps* They're too damn powerful, they have the best weapons, the best armor, the best vehicials. They have no downsides at all 'cept maybe they points cost, and that's still a bit low. They need to give every army some weapon that can scythe thru marines like a hot knife thru warm butter. *Points to Tau Rail Rifle* That's the closest thing I've ever seen to a Marine killer. The only thing 'Nids got to tackle marines is the Genestealer, and they'd be lucky just to get across the board to them. Orks only got mass numbers and barley anything else. Chaos has deamons--Not good enough. Everybody else has bareley enough to tackle the superhumans. They're too powerful as an army, and they need to be given some downsides. *exhales* Phew! Sry ^^; *Plops down next to the Gaunts and pets them*

Marines have a few more flaws, Killing them gives VP more easily, most squads are small, Anything above normal can kill them, If a dark eldar charges a marine, it can kill him. They have few skimmers, so they ussually have to crawl through the terrain. And 'nids are good against any army, as long as they get into combat.

I've faced the BTs once or twice, and haven't really seen them as being "stacked". They're a bit tougher than an everyday Marine army, partly because the Emperor's Champ is such a powerful (but thankfully not invincible) character, and partly because the Land Raider Crusader when used correctly is a very powerful tank. Some of the vows can be pretty effective as well.
But they aren't any more powerful than an average World Eaters army (as opposed to a cheesy one... BTs aren't quite as easy to cheese out as the World Eaters).

Necrons can be a n00b army- just look for the towers of his two or three Monoliths (and whip out with the S8+ weapons). OTOH, I've faced some well- balanced Necron armies by some players I've respected. The trick in telling is checking what his list has- more than one Monolith, a C'Tan, and the minimum two Warrior squads tend to be giveaways.
