The two Focht's collided, latching onto each others gauntlets as the Focht on the side launched the Focht from above towards Raven.
Xol waited patiently for Raven to shadow again, for as soon as she made that mistake he would teleport behind her and bind her with a sealing spell. Nothing fancy, just enough to stop her from shadowing for the time being.
"Friends become a hinderance Raven. Before you know it you have to save them every other day...at least, that's how it was in my case. It's only convienant to have allies, ones who help in your bidding, but whom you get no emotinal attachments to. Ceres and Naromi fill that need quite nicely...Irvine...well, he's fecked off somewhere...I'll deal with him later. Which proves my point...now...stop prolonging this and be a good girl. I won't hurt you too badly. Play your cards right and maybe I will let you go in the end."

Raven hissed at him, continuing to stay in her shadowed state. She wasn't as dumb to reform again. She pressed her hand to a wall, a short attempt to gain access to the outside... but no luck. She whined and looked back at him .
"Xol, let me out of here-..."
She growled, her ears pressing against her crimson skull as her coin gold eyes flickered in the dimly lit room.

Xol snapped his bladed fingers and the Focht soaring at Raven slowled into a gentle arc and landed on his feet. Both turned to look at Xol.
"Leave us...she is far too advanced for you at your current stage of developement." He hissed as both the clones walked over to their rejuvenation chambers which closed behind them and filled with a soupy, light blue liquid. In unison, they closed their eyes and floated in the liquid, turning off their vital organs and 'resting'.
"Why do you whimper Raven? It is not like you...I sense the strength in you, yet...you let it be silenced by your futile feelings towards others. I know Focht...you can only truly learn about a person through battling with them, and I can tell you...he is not friend material. he doesn't need them, nor desire them, much like me. Solitary at his core and a murderer in his heart. You do know he murdered a helpless female child do you not? For no better reason than being a cold hearted b*****d...him and I are not that much different in many perspectives."
Xol quirked his brow and started to walk to Raven...slowly, and then dissapearing before reappearing a mere inch from her shadowed self.
"Why do you persist on fighting against someone you have no conceivable way of winning against? I am your superior Raven...no amout of smartass quips, shadowing, or narrowing of those beautiful golden hues is going to change that."

She stepped back, her ears now slightly visible against her skull. They blended in with her hair and she could pass for human in any town if it had not been for her eyes. She hissed, her nose creasing slightly as her fangs slid over her bottom lip. She took another step back before stopping, he was so wrong... he couldnt have been more wrong.
"Then if your like Focht, why do you try to kill the man? I'm even like him. I've killed people, I watched my own daughter die... I've killed many people that cant protect themselves... I don't care."
She paused then spoke again.
"I am half human... I have a heart. I will not deny its needs any longer. I dont want to be alone."

"Because he could end up being a threat in the long run, but...if all else fails I guess I could ally with him to defeat Mastema. I wanted you to be my contingency plan in case something happened to me then you could kill him for me. I guess you have too many feelings for him...interesting. Does he know?" Xol cooed sacrcastically, trying to get a rise out of her as he leaned in closer with a demeaning grin.
Her next words caught him off gaurd slightly. She didn't want to be alone? Who did really...even though he acted as if he did...deep down he didn't. His weakness showed through for a brief moment befor ehe collected himself. "Do what I ask and you won't have to be alone...I'll return you to the BC. Just a simple tissue and blood sample...then you can freely traverse to my Keep. You can't bring anyone with you of course...but...just in case you need assisstance against that Master fellow. I didn't take too kindly to him putting four slugs in my unarmored chest..."

She held her breath then noticed something in him, something she had seen in him before.
"There it is again... What I saw in you. Its so apparent."
She looked at him oddly.
"Why do you deny yourself like I did? Its hurts... its the worst pain... even over something that could physically scar you for life. Stop breaking yourself over it and just realize you need... just like everyone else."
She closed her eyes and her body reformed, she knew it wasn't a good idea... but there was something she had to prove, even if it meant him having the ability to take her blood.. she didnt want him to have her on file... But she was too determined at that point.

As soon as she reformed, Xol snapped out and grapped her arms, sinking his claws into her flesh. "And what Raven? Waltz into the BC and denouce my undying want for friendship? Shall I offer my soiled hand to them...all the guilt and blood stained from their bodies on me. Always having to deal with the eyes of untrust on my back. I think not..." He growled, and closed his eyes, letting her go and flinging her off to the side.
"Go..." Pain and guilt seared in his stomach, she had made him think of all those thoughts that he wanted to forget.
"You can shadow through these walls for only this once and then I will resurect the barrier over my lab again. I'm sure you don't even want in here again though..." He chuckled, opening his crimson eyes and turning to her.
"Go Raven..."

She winced slightly, his claws felt like thorn pricks into her arms. She stumbled off to the side slightly as he flung her, but she soon regained her posture, turning towards him as her eyes flickered over him. Her look was questioning and she still wanted to press certain questions.
"No I don't expect you to do a thing. Never you... your not strong enough for a friendly relationship with anyone... or are you too good for one...?"
She walked back over to him and her ears turned up slightly as she smirked. "You know, I have a habit of denying myself... At least I can admit you are pretty fascinating." She sneered and shadowed out of his domain, thanking god something in Xol had shifted.

He hovered in the air for a long many minutes, head held low as he contemplated Raven's words. With a heavy sigh, he teleported out of his lab and into his chambers, sitting on his bed and laying back.
"So much to think about...so much to do...no time...no time at all..."
He growled, images of Raven and he words flitered into his mind before he went into a deep slumber.

Raven has still been in the lab, just merely invisible as she pressed her body into the shadows in its current state. She watched Xol shadowed and fallowed him, listening to his light murmurs, seeing his heavy heart... He even looked half human for once. She growled to herself mentally, then looked downward as her body melted down to the room she had been in earlier. She picked up the pillow and blanket from the floor and placed it like she had seen it when she first appeared there that night before and crawled under the bed spread, curling it over her head snugly and sighing before she feel into a very light asleep. The slightest shift would wake her.
"Strange man..."
she whispered, knowing for the night this was her best bet...

Raven woke, curling the covers off her legs and shaking her head. She yawned, stretching her arms above her head as she slid off to a stand. She then tugged her shirt down slightly as she stepped towards the chamber door, shadowing through it before making her way to the first floor, then outside. She curled her arms behind her back as her tail swayed. She thought of where to go next as her ears flickered, observing the place.

Xol appeared behind Raven, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Nice place, isn't it? The spells that duplicate the forest, sky and other elements are truly mind-numbingly intricate. It's worth it though, if not to remind me of what the world is like above, then to help me keep my sanity down here. Many eons ago I would have loved to just destroy this little mudball, but now I cherish every breath of fresh air...every look into the sky fills my heart with...joy..."
A grin crept upon his lips as he removed his hand from her shoulder and walked over to the fountain sitting in the middle of the courtyard. He sat on the edge and sighed, looking up at her. His face was weary as if the world truly was upon his shoulders, but the immense sense of pride and arrogance was never lost from his being.

Rave jumped slightly at the touch then turned her gaze over her shoulder towards him.
"Why tell me this...?"
She questioned, turning towards him as she crossed her arms over her middle. Her tail flickered slightly as she allowed her head to tilt lightly to the side, walking over and taking a seat as well.
" It seems you've slipped again..."
The edges of her lips bowed up into a smirk, ignoring the pirate like grin that was slowly spreading across his expression once again.

"I tend to be alot "nicer" and easier to be around when I've had a good nights sleep. Why tell you...hmph...I dunno, maybe because you're the only one here?"
He laughed, turning to her and smiling before stopping himself and quirking his brow.
"Why didn't you leave last night? I know full well that you were still in my Keep...following me to some extent. I keep telling you you. This is my domain."

"Because I can't stay at the Dojo... and I don't think you get the concept. I really dont care where I am."
She smirked once more, coiling her tail loosely over her hips as she allowed her crossed arms to rest on her knees as she leaned over them.
"Apparently you knew and it didnt bother you.. did it?"
