Kon was genuinely shocked. How could the other still be okay now that he knew what Kon really was?! Wasn't he going to... going to kill him or capture him or soemthing?! Slowly, he crept from the other's lap. He made carefuly sure to crawl back into his clothes as best he could before turning back to human form. Some thing about his clothes were off, but... He stood up, the crystalised tears glinting on his cheeks like tiny diamonds, and began to straighten up his clothes, his cheeks red, head hung low. "Sorry..." he murmured at last.

Ryu stood up and soon found his hands aiding Kon in the straightening of his clothes. "Why are you sorry?" he murmured softly, "There is nothing to be sorry over..." He still had a gentle smile on his face, one that promised comfort to the other. His equally gentle hands almost seemed warm against Kon's shivering body...must be the sudden lack of fur.

Hebishi turned over when more ripples hit the shoreline. He lifted his head lazily and right before his eyes made contact with the being out in the water he dampened his gaze. It would be intense, but not deadly. A young man, Hebishi smirked, a nude young man. He winked lazily before laying his head on his arms so he could continue to stare at the other nude figure while also looking relaxed and lazy. His own long, bare limbs where sun-kissed and dramped gracefully over his warm, sunning stone.
Zephyr's eyes met the other's intense gaze and he instinctively lowered his gaze, slamming his eyes shut. He... he didn't like those eyes. They bored into him... and they hurt and... He brought his cool, wet hands up to cover his face, trying to rid himself of the feeling of those eyes. It was then he realised that the other was watching him. And he was naked. In fact, they were both naked. His face turned instantly red and he quickly ducked behind the rock he had been stretched across only moments before. and behind the rock he felt the intensity of those eyes diminish.

"Sorry because... isn't sorry what you say when... when you make others sad... or disapoint them...?" he asked. He was obviously confused and curious, but his tone was dulled and choked with tears. His head and neck drooped and his shoulders raised slightly towards his ears. "Kon... Kon lied and was... bad..." he murmured, more to himself than to Ryu. "So Kon has to say Kon's sorry."

Hebishi couldn't help it he laughed, it was a quiet chuckle that was more inward then anything else. It seemed the other young man was both modest and had been oblivious to the fact the Hibeshi had been there for hours. His wicked cold eyes glanced once more at the rock that hid the other male before his attention was drawn to the sound of hooves on the packed dirt road.

His eyes narrowed and he flicked his forked tongue through the air. A snarl vibrated through his smooth chest. Horse, dog and human were heading his way and as he closed his eyes he saw that the man was rich and could feel that his intentions were to find the almighty Basilisk. Let him come, if his price was right he would leave without a peice of him but with power. Foolish humans...

Hebishi had forgotten about the youth behind the boulder in the water as he sat up and placed his glasses back on his smooth, unblemished skin.

((He assumed the Zephyr is a human. When he tested the air he didn't sense Zephyr because he's a tree but Hebishi just assumes it's because the water has washed away the scent. Tree's do have tastes, Hebishi was just ignoring it thinking it was one of the trees on the bank.))

Zephyr peeked out from behind his boulder, releived to see that not only was the other sheilding his terrifying eyes with glasses, but also that his attention was diverted. Quickly and as quietly as he could - which wasn't very quiet at all, but quiet considering he was having to tread water - he sloshed through the lake and made his way to the bank He slipped back into his robe, tucking his folded clothes under one arm. He didn't want to get them wet... It would only take a minute or so for what moisture remained on his skin to vanish. But it wouldn't evaporate. His skin sucked in moisture and took strength from it - just as it did with sunlight. He was already almost dry - except his hair. That was still dripping. He squeezed it out as best he could without getting any water on his coat and then quickly darted behind a tree, wondering what in the world could have distracted such an obviously fierce creature.

((Mmkay. =o

Also, have you ever heard the term "willow woman" or "woman of the willows"? You'll understand later if you don't understand now... But, after all, Zephyr is a willow. x3;;;; ))

Ryu chuckled and hugged Kon gently. "But you haven't made me sad or dissapointed me..." He continued smiling "Kon wasn't bad..." He gently massaged Kon's back through the jacket. You don't have any idea just how wonderful you are, do you? I guess...that's part of the reason I keep finding myself becoming more and more attached to you...

A small, slightly embarrassed smile spread over the boy's lips, softening his tear-stained eyes. However, it was obvious that the boy was rather reluctant to beleive the other - or rather that he just couldn't bring himself to in case the other took it back later or was just lying to make him feel better. "Thank you..." he murmured slowly, eyes trailing along the white, whirling snow.

Ryu smiled even more once he saw the smile upon Kon's face, and found that he rather liked this- holding Kon and the other's arms around him. "I only speak the truth..." he murmured, then added "Shall we go inside and get warmed up?" Despite the warm body against him, Ryu was feeling the effects of the frigid outdoors...so going inside and getting all nice and warm again was sounding rather nice.

"I... I suppose..." he said a little reluctantly. He could feel now that the cold really was seeping into him... but he loved the snow so much. He couldn't help it - he couldn't fight his nature. He had begun to shiver ever so slightly, but he still wanted to stay... Of course, this same desire had nearly killed at least twice before. He was just so simple minded...

Ryu smiled, hearing the hesitation in Kon's voice. "Well...Maybe we should finish the snowman first, ne?" He chuckled, then added as he motioned towards the head "I don't think we should leave the poor guy body-less..."

Kon giggled slightly. "If you do, he won't let you hear the end of it... That is, if you give him a mouth," he said with a small smile. It seemed that the... well, the normalness of this change in conversation was making Kon feel more at ease, more natural.

Ryu laughed. "Yes...and if we give him eyes he will glare at us until he melts..." Ryu crunched through the snow back to the snowman's head and put it aside, giving them room to make the body. He packed together another snowball and began rolling it about to make it bigger.

Kon watched avidly, eyes shining with enthusiasm as he crouched near Ryu, his bright eyes following his hands' every movement. "Ryuuuu.... You've done this a lot, haven't you?" he asked. Of course he must have. How else would be so good at rolling the snow and such? It looked like it would be something difficult to do.

Hebishi watched the man ride into veiw. He recked of power and greed, Hebishi smirked. His pale, nude form leaned lazily against the boulder he had been sunning on. He had noted the young man in the water had fled but now his attention was elsewhere, maybe he would look for the little human later-- he doubted it though.

The noble rode up, halted and averted his eyes quickly.
"Young man!" The noble sneered, "have you no shame?!"

Hebishi cocked and eyebrow, a snake like smile slithered over his features. "My dear mortal, did you come to make a Pact, or to give me ethic and moral advice?"

The noble snapped his head back to the man before you, "Your the basilisk?!" T

Zephyr watched avidly from behind the tree, his mouth agog. He had wrapped his long, pale arms around the tree - it was a large one and his arms didn't come close to reaching all the way around. It wasn't a living tree. And it wasn't one of his kind. It was a pine - a very old, large pine. He peaked from behind the tree, willing his skin to become more willowy as to cammoflage himself. He could only ust make out what they were saying the the distant - the wind, always a friend of trees, had taken kindness upon him and blown in a direction that took the voices to Zephyr's ears.
