the fans who AREN'T superman fans, who just watch it because they're watching smallvile, a lot of them want clois to happen, just because they hear about lois and superman and immediately think "OMFG! they're TOTALLY a couple! Hot dogs! We're so hot, we're going to send letters to the writers and tell them we'll hate them if they don't make clois happen!" and then the writers will have to do it for fear of smallville ratings going down and eventually leading to cancellation
I don't know whether to be insulted or what.
First off, the producers have shown no regard for the fans of any couple except Clana. The only two episodes this season which were really Cloisy were "Hydro", which revolved around Clana and had no effect on the relationship from Lois's end, and "Crimson" which again facilitated Clana and which Lois didn't even remember.
Yeah, the producers are
reeeally pandering to the Clois fanbase there.
As for what type of person is a Clois fan -- I'm a fan of Superman in all incarnations and have been since I was three or whatever. I saw the films, and watched the cartoons and
Lois & Clark and pretty much followed the comics. And I fully support Clark and Lois hooking up in SV -- seriously, they ******** up the timeline in the very first episode by having Clark romantically interested in Lana and Lex living in Smallville. The fact that Lois is there and there's no development of feelings at least on Clark's end undermines their relationship in other incarnations.
Like Phil Morris said -- you have to keep the characters and their characterisation sacrosanct. Everything else, including timelines, is dispensible,
especially in SV's case.
And by the way, the shippy segment of the fanbase least interested in Superman is generally the Clana fans (I say generally because I know there are exceptions).
