Amaya blinked at him, looking just as confused. "Wha?" She looked down at her scales and was about to reply when his fingertips touched her side. Ouuu...

She leaned slightly into him, the gesture about the equivilant to scratching a dog behind the ears. "No, I'm fine... I think." She said after a moment. "I've been changing colour since the start of the month I think. I dunno why." She shrugged.

Alec blinked at the rusty coloured scales, about to inquire more about the condition until he noticed her...shift of weight. With a sudden look of embarassment, the teen stood up quickly and commenced convincing himself that she'd just had an itch or something. "Maybeh issa rash." He managed to utter, spinning on his heel to march over to his bar fridge with the bag of goodies she brought along with her.

Amaya blinked and watched him turn around and go for the food. "Yeah, maybe." She watched him for a moment before speaking up again. "Sooo... what did you mean that they'd drag you out kicking and screaming?" Once again she raised a nonexistant brow.

Alec turned back around, hands already stuffed into the food as he chomped on it as if he hadn't just eaten 3 steaks not long before. "Muh? Oh. Theh kick'n meh ou' aggen." He mumbled as he refilled his mouth with another handful of chips. "Mo-eau joos' bro' meh back teh teashe me." Acting as nonchallant as ever, the shark wandered over to his mini sound system and changed the track to a song he liked better.

"Party? 41?" F repeated to as he lay on his bed, having been occupying himself with picking at the wallpaper. This was about as much as he'd managed to decipher from Alec's unintentionally cryptic message, but sure enough, it got the idea across.

"'ell, vat's jus' what I need." he grinned with determination, and a couple of minutes later he was outside duplex number 41.

"I 'eard vere was a party!" an odd British-Romanian accent shouted through the door, excitement and impatience running unchecked in the voice.
F hadn't thought to bring anything party-ish with him, of course. That wasn't to say he came empty handed.. He had a small pineapple with him, held secretively behind his back. Most likely for some reason unknown to modern man.

F honestly couldn't remember the last time he'd actually attended an honest-to-God party. One that wasn't simply him, and a mate, sitting on top of his van with a bottle of cheap beer and a pack of fags between them.

So it was no surprise that F had high expectations for whatever was about to commence in the legendary duplex 41.

Amaya frowned, about to mention that she had experiance surviving in the jungle, however little it may be. Still, she believed she could help him. But she was cut off at the knock and yell though the door.

The girl jumped and stepped out of the way of the path towards the door, looking at it - having no idea that Alec had invited people. "Oh. You invited more people?" She almost sounded dissapointed... and nervous.

Alec nodded, glancing expectedly over the iguana girl's shoulder towards the doorway. "Ye, a' figgeh'd a'd make i' nice n' loud." The teen smirked, not realizing he was just about putting Amaya into a social situation she wasn't bargaining for. Who knows when I'll be able to see another Islander while stranded out there. He thought to himself but kept the words silent.

"Ay, come on in!" The teen grinned and waved to the awkward-looking man, not recalling ever meeting him. "Theh's no' maneh 'ere, bu' ye c'n make yeself a' 'ome!" He motioned to the snacks and drinks as he chatted over the drone of the music.

F took the cue to enter and did so grandly, with a flourishing bow.
"Hello!" he greeted merrily upon returning to eye level. "..Would you like a pineapple?" he asked sincerely, producing the fruit from behind his back and offering it towards Alec.

F was feeling mighty chipper for some odd reason. The slight air of upset within the room passed right over F's head, and he looked upon the pair without judgement.

He must have been early for the party. Apparently they were usually a bit slow at first.
"Bit quite in 'ere?" he stated above the music. "Well, not the-" he gestured towards wherever the sound was coming from with a grin and then toddled off to see if there was anything palatable involving drinks.

"Ah, I see..." Amaya trailed off with a nod, forcing a smile both to Alec and the man she had never met. She looked oddly at the pineapple, but otherwise kept her mouth shut and let the two converse if they wished.

She had never been very good at social gatherings or parties, especially not now that she was as much of an iguana as a teenage girl. Her tail twitched nervously, the need to get out of their territory the awkward situation rising.

Alec stared dumbly at the offered fruit for a moment as if it was an alien being presented as somesort of weird peace offering. Quickly he returned to his senses and his fangy smile returned again. "Thanks mate!" The teen smirked and took the fruit, walking over to his fridge to scrounge up a cutting utensil. "Awef'ly nice o' ye." The kid commented in an attempt to make casual small-talk with the stranger, finally unearthing a butterknife from a mound of junk by his bed. "'Am Alec, this i' A-maya. Ye new 'round 'ere?"

"Call me F." the man stated with a grin from over by the food and drinks. "Newer van you two, seems like." F said with a cheery nod aimed at the two decidedly more animalistic islanders.

"Alrigh', Sunshine?" as Amaya was introduced, F briefly rose a hand towards the oversized.. lizard that stood awkwardly behind the leafy, grey-skinned bloke. F found that those animal faces made it hard to estimate their ages.

He turned back towards the table, having happened across Alec's bottle of vodka and helped himself to a glass. He peered at the clear liquid a moment, holding it up and swilling it about in the cup. F wondered whether his flea-tongue could handle the taste, and his flea-stomach the alcohol, and concluded with a shrug that there was only one way to find out.

He took a small sip neat, and almost immediately regretted it. After a moment in obvious distress, in which F believed his tongue was on fire, the flea-man regained what composure he had.

"Tastes like arse." F announced bluntly. "But ven it always did." he mused, reaching to pull a small canteen-like bottle from one of his pockets. He could at least mask the taste with his new favourite mixer..

"Hi." The rusty orange iguana said shyly, hesitantly taking his hand in her large palm and giving it a shake in greeting. She wasn't used to having people offer their hand to her or touch her in any way... then again, Nita had not too long ago. Maybe people were getting better about seeing an over-sized lizard walking around? That would be nice, if it happened to be the case.

She couldn't help herself but let out a tiny laugh at his comment. Amaya had never tried alcohol herself... and by now, knew that her tastebuds were probably a lot different then they had been.

Alec turned back from being busy near the fridge, holding a plate of pineapple freshly dissected care of the new guest. He held a cigarette awkwardly between his lips as if he was considering lighting up and if Amaya hadn't been in the same room, he probably would have already. Oddly, the gesture was good enough to satiate him for the time being.

"Aw. S'no' tha' bad." He murmured to F with a half-smile, amused by the man's reaction. There was probably a point in time where he'd no longer enjoy a drink either, for now he'd force it down in his spare time. "Ye live neh? A' guess ye go' me mess'ge." The teen chuffed a laugh, amused that his tactic had been successful in some way.

Although there was a look of simple wonderment on his face as he grasped Amaya's scaly hand, F saw nothing particularly horrifying about her appearance, and so added another friendly grin to the encounter.

"Apparen'ly fleas don' like vis stuff." he said matter of fact-ly at Alec's objection, sticking out and wiggling his three-pronged tongue.

"Nobody really lives far around 'ere, do vey?" he said merrily as if it were an obvious fact, himself oblivious to the lives of those situated outside the village. "Got vuh gist of y' message anyway, yeah." he said with a slight smirk.

As he spoke, F took no shame in pouring a generous amount of blood into his drink. He was momentarily fascinated by how the red cloud spread over the volume and seemed to swallow up the glass's previous occupant.

"Bloody Mary, anyone?" he said heartily, raising both the glass and his eyebrows, but not actually meaning to offer it to either of them. Social taboo had never been of any concern to F, but he figured drinking a little bit of blood couldn't be too out of the ordinary on an island like this one. It had already become a natural part of his own strange new life.

He took another sip of the drink, which was followed by a vigorous shudder and then a lop-sided smile. "It'll do." he announced with a nod.

For now Amaya was simply standing in the backround and watching. She grabbed out a bottle of water and made sure it had a squirt-cap... drinking out of a bowl was still humiliating sometimes. After squirting some into her mouth and drinking it she watched F pour the red liquid into his drink.

With a sniff and a tongue flick she knew what it was. Poor guy had to drink blood? Ugh... she was greatful for her herbivore diet.

She didn't seem to mind Alec's dangling cigarette either. It would bother her nose a little now that it was more sensitive, but her father had smoked too, so it didn't really bug her as much as it did some of the others.
