The incubus merely shrugged his shoulders, still crossed over his chest in response. He knew Dante a little better than many of the islands residents. In fact he only knew a couple other of the island's residents outside of the island itself.

"Between Malice, the kid and my other matters inland I have been quite delayed as you could likely guess. Though when I got the message that there was someone here getting everyone's panties in a bunch I just had to see what all the fuss was about."

The situation was actually quite amusing to the incubus. Aside from the visit from Yumi and the feeding that ensued that was the reason his apartment was currently under reconstruction there had been little going on for the incubus.

Partially hidden by the shadows as he was he was only visible from the waist up, and from about mid-thigh. His bare feet on the ground could be seen as well. Deciding it was no longer needed to lurk in the shadows he stepped out from them. While doing so the shadows around him swirled around his body forming into his clothes. When he finally cleared them he was dressed in He was dressed in a black vinyl shirt looked poured on. It left his arms bare. The shiny black vinyl a nice contrast to his skin which was the color of finely polished bronze. His skin was like smooth flesh seemingly smoothed over hard muscle like silk over steel His pants were made of the same vinyl making it appear as if the lines of his body had been dipped in patent leather. Heavy leather boots came up just under his knees, gleaming metal plates on the toe and ankle.

He glaned over Dante at the woman that appeared. She was vaguely familiar, then it was most likely because she was a resident here. Aside from Dante and a few others he didn't know too many other residents here.

Are we all done now?

*Disturbingly, despite the 'onslaught' Quint had used, Rake still hung in mid air, as relaxed as before it apparently more wounded. It opened its mismatched eyes and the circle beneath it seemed to glow bright for that*

Anyone else want to take a pot shot? Im only offering the once, and I dont have all day.

*Though 'blood' ran down its body, not one drop seemed to manage to make it to the sand and its expression bespoke boredom*

Really Dante... you DO hang around with the most boring and jaded people. Are you SURE you wouldnt rather come back with me when this is over and experiance REAL life again?

*It focused its eyes on Quint as she wound up another blow, completely ignoring Gatz's inane and irrelevant comments, and Mandy attacking its tail, which split to the bone, but was not severed due to the thick metal coating of the vertebrae within*

Mandy cringed as she felt the blade bounce back from Rake's tail, tossing her arm aside and hopping backwards a few feet just out of the rotating symbols. "Quint..." She spoke annoyingly.. "Your metal proves flawed." Her eyebrows furrowed, yet she still held the blade just in case she would get any other ideas..

At first she was somewhat confident in the woman's plans, but now she was more embarrassed at the unsuccessful event, although her face only showed it with annoyance, and on top of that, the beast was simply adding insult to injury. More and more characters seemed to be rapidly increasing, characters that all yield over dramatic entrances, only increasing Mandy's own distrust of her surroundings...

No sooner than the words had left his mouth and headed for Loki’s ears than Dante felt a sudden weight upon his back. He responded at first by pausing in mid step and returning his foot to the ground beneath him. Thoughts went through his mind that point. Some revolving around the question of who this was leaning atop him, others searching his mind for all those of such height that he was familiar with, and still others working on a plan should the owner of the arms that were now draped around him proved to be malevolent. But when Dante heard her speak, the questions dissipated into thin air, for there was no more need for them. Of course he remembered the voice, though admittedly it had been quite some time.

“Actually I’m surprised that you still remember me, much less have the time to visit. I would have thought you to be off attending to your duties, Jeshia.”

He looked back at Loki and offered a mere shrug, wondering if the Incubus remembered her from the old Bloodbath Bar. Though his conversation with Loki had been disturbed, Dante knew it would be fallacy to ignore Jeshia. She could be far more testy at times than the aged demon who stood before him. Though he was now too occupied to respond to Rake, his eyes glanced back to It’s fight every now and again. To anyone paying attention, this would have lead to a question of ‘why?’. Was Dante worried about Rake’s safety, or scouting It’s moves?

"'Much less have time to visit,'" She said mockingly, releasing him from her embrace and, after giving a small wave to Loki, placed her hands on her hips defiantly.
"Of course I have time to visit, I wouldn't have came here if I didn't have time, don't you think? Besides, I have nothing but time now that I -um- 'sorta' passed my goddess trials. I'm fine, thanks for asking, I'm so glad that you're concerened about my well being, how are you?"

As she talked she would be walking herself around to a favorable possition where she was in front of Dante but no obscuring his view of Loki and disturbing their conversation, forming a sort of triangle where they could all speak comfortably. She addressed Loki next.

"Have you been well? Still tagging along where the excitement is? -causing some of your own?"

Aonice had been walking to the beach in some rather casual attire, holding a towel over her small shoulders as she sank into the sand.. She had been feeling a little stressed lately, figuring out exactly what all to do with this Rake situation seemed to only be getting out of control, and she needed sometime to relax, at least for a few minutes... She removed her glasses, only to squint her eyes a bit as the sun blurred her vision, her bright blue eyes not too fond of the island's gracious amount of lighting. it was then she realized, Rake had a pair of familiars attempting to take her down, on top of that, her favorite Loki seemed to be distracted by Dante, and a rather tall, voluptuous woman that managed to simply steal Aonice's attention for a few moments.. She looked familiar, Aonice knew she had met her before, somewhere, but it was so long ago she couldn't remember.

Thinking that Nobody had currently spotted her, she turned around to sneak off, away from the beast at the moment, only to bump into Gatz, completely giving away her 'untold' entrance... She looked up at the over endowed woman with quite a bit of blush upon her cheeks, dropping her towel... "Oh! Eh heh, hey there... Is everything alright out here?" She asked the woman, rather uncomfortable considering she only had a kunai at the moment, and failed to bring her staff..

Quint's unending attacks would have put a huge toll on any human, likely even killed them, but it quickly became re-apparent that Rake wasn't just some mortal wo/man. Panting from her blows, Quint backed away a little, enough to get out of the brightly glowing circle. For now she discarded the Bauxite casing, dropping it close to the side. Clenching and stretching her left hand, Quint knew she needed to think of something, fast.

Unable to get an answer herself, Quint started questioning with the thing closest to her: Morrigan's bats.

"I guess that trap was a dud..." Her bats laughed a little, or something close to it, responding. "No, it's just delayed. Rake's up to something: Hand to hand is a range that'll kill you before it." Frustrated, "Then what the hell can I do? That last attack wore me out, and playing 'keep away' with this thing would be harder to do than say." In her mind, Quint could see the bats shrug collectively, "..Dunno. Its a tough cookie, and I don't think you have a big enough hammer to break it." After a short pause, Quint broke their connection.

"Thanks a lot." She said aloud, her left hand now slapping her temple. Cautious about stepping in close, Quint dropped her sword, letting her bats rejoin the battalion of others. From here she transitioned into a new stance: Right hand a bit farther out than her left, both between being clenched and loose, swaying in and out towards Quint's face. Her feet matched the hands, right foot farther out, cocked slightly to the left, and the left foot was where most of her weight was. It was a lot more defensive than her last, Quint now focused on whatever Rake could be doing. Since their positions were a lot farther apart, it would be somewhat easier to dodge or parry a strike from the daemon.

She was still confident about winning, but understood now that it would be an arduous battle.

Admitedly, the woman was a little more familiar once her name was spoken, but not by much. She was vaguely familiar, but nothing really stood out. Everything that happened at the Bloodbath was kind of a blur, kind of like anyone who experienced anything in the 60's.

Seeing as everyone else was getting comfortable he himself decided to take a seat. A few of his bats rushed under him as he sat down on quite literally on air, crossing one leg over the other. He addressed Jeshia's question as he got comfortable.

"I've been well, I appear to be not too far from the excitement. Perhaps thinking of causing some of my own, but I see that the island seems to have enough at the moment so I'm just watching."

He said, absently his mind's eye sensed Aonice once she saw him. He remembered he had a question to ask her concerning where he was staying as his current arrangements. His apartment had been in need of repairs and modifications from Yumi's visit. Cushions needed to be replaced, bed reincforced, walls fitted for accoustic suppression, etc.

He opened his hand as a small, reddish bat flew, screeching to his hand. He kissed it light on it's head and made a gesture over his shoulder. It flew from his hand into the forest. It would deliver a message to Aonice telling her that he wanted to talk to her about staying at her place for a period of time because of repairs needed for his apartment.

He then turned his attention back to Dante and Jeshia, occasionally glancing over at the fight between Rake, Quint and Mandy.

"Goddess trials? Interesting, I faintly remember something about that. A ot of what happened in the older Bloodbath is a bit of a blur to me. Refresh my memory if you will."

Clasping her hands behind her back and rocking back on her heals, Jeshia thought of the best way to answer Loki's question. There was a lot that had happened, though much of it did not have to do with the trials themselves. With a belated sigh, she began a slightly abridged version of her story.

"Well, Odin, being the nice war-loving Aesir that he is allowed met he chance to become a goddess. I think it was only because I was of average strength compared to the Aesir themselves, so I held promise for aiding in Ragnarok.
My mother, Hel, was opposed to this idea. You see, she considers herself a goddess, and indeed she is, over her own realm of the underworld, but she's really just the child of Loki and Angreboda and not a goddess at all."
She paused, trying to get back on track and to the point of her story.
"Well, I performed the first two trials, both of which were strenuous enough. Thor had me visit a Giant's land and kill at least five, which was insane, and Freya had me attmept to clear my mind of everything and 'meditate' till he was pleased. There were so many more to go, but when I was given the task of becoming familiar with every form of spirit and being that resided in both Asguard, Midgar and Hell, I failed... who thought that rocks and grass and moss had a life spirit of their own...?"
She shook her head, clearing her thoughts and organizing them for her conclusion.
"After I failed, Allfather told me that I did do well and that he would grant me a partial god status so that I may use the new abilities to learn and grow before Ragnarok and so that I may try again later when I was stronger of both mind and body."

She let out a long slow sigh, "that's my story and that's what I've been away for so long for... that and family feuds. And what have you been up to? hopefully something of more interrest."

Aonice had been tapped on the shoulder by a small bat.. She looked over at it and blinked cluelessly, then then realized what it was trying to say.. She looked back at Loki, sitting rather relaxed like in a manner that reminded her of Slayer from Guilty Gear... She excused herself from Gatz' presence by raising a finger, and stepped over. Soon after, she was close to Loki, just a few yards behind him, and could only stare over his shoulder at the Tallest of the group, just catching the finally of her story.. Aonice's small hight was probably somewhere of 2/3rds that of Jeshia's, and couldn't help but stare at the woman's rather attractive features, but then again, Aonice always found a fondness for the one's who could make her feel even smaller than she already was.. She blinked again, practically bumping into Loki before realizing what she was doing. "Oh! Loki! You wanted me?" She asked curiously, her voice a bit more nervous than usual.. It seemed Aonice was growing more fragile the longer this Rake stayed on the island, or as if something was devastating her concentration.

Loki guessed her concentration was being devastated by Jeshia's features still. Which even he had to admit were attractive, but being respectful to an obviously close friend of Dante's he made no effort towards seduction. It would be rude for one, two he did not know if this one was bethrothed to another which also would be a reason to not pursue her.

As Aonice nearly bumped into him he turned slightly on his 'chair' so to speak to address his question to her which he did have concerning his living quarters. Though he assumed she knew so he'd leave the reason out. Yumi probably told her anyway.

"Yes, my apartment is currently undergoing rennovations. Atleast the portal is. The room itself is being dealt with. Would it be okay if I stayed at the Manor with you for a while?"

Aonice smiled warmly and nodded, "Oh yeah, of course" She shrugged. "It'd be fun having you around the house anyways" She spoke a bit more excited about the scenario, and leaned a bit Against Loki's lap, staring into his own seductive eyes...

The waves carefully crashed against the shore with delicate motion and such graceful precision that when the tide receeded back to its body the coast was nearly left unscathed. The soft, salty breeze blew whispers of a friend who had long been absent for some time and was soon returning. Waves crashed again against the shore but when they pulled away to gently push against the surf it carried something along its back. Something dirty and mangey. An ugly color of grey wearing not at all the most modest of clothing. It gave off a foul odor of salt and wet fur. However, the poor thing was motionless, seemingly devoid of life. The salty wind blew again to carry it closer to the shore, hoping that once it had returned to land that it would spring new life into it. The foliage beneath carried the poor creature under its belly, almost keeping it from drowning into the ocean's depths. The wildlife separated to make a hole in which the creature, who seems to have very feline feature, could pass through with no obstacle to the shore. The salty breeze blew again, bringing the cat-like creature only one more push away from the beach. It was populated so no doubt someone would be willing to take care of the poor thing. Otherwise the work that the wind, the sea, and the life below would be all for naught if they were the least bit cold-hearted. The salty breeze, in coincidence with the sea, gave one final hurrah and pushed the floating lump onto the dry shore. Lying on its front, and its face to the side, the long-haired cat-like creature let out a low, nearly inaudible....

"..mew."

Nope? That about it ladies and gents? How very disappointing.

*reaching down with one talon idly, it poked at its wounded chest, feeling bones crunch about and grate liek nails down a chalk board*

So glad Im not human anymore. Then again, there's something to be said about style when you have rib bones poking out of your skin. Maybe I should get a Tzimisce to mod my body for me. then again... maybe not.

*It's blue eye flickered red and the circles on the ground lifted from the floor, up and around its body, ringing it initially like teh rings of saturn, then each took on its own eliptical position, the glyphs on each rotating faster with each passing second*

Let and man or woman who has somehting to do or say, do so now, or forever hold his peace. Our little play is coming to an end and you've all played your roles beautifully. Lets have one last encore, shall we?

Whatever Rake was doing, it was guaranteed that the attack would be something that needed not hit its target. Quint squinted her eyes, clenching her fists in anticipation, slowly shifting her legs back. She never before had to prepare for a creature that could potentially do anything, and this brought on a lot of frustration. She was also a bit annoyed by the fact that her carefully planned idea produced no harvest, except giving Rake a reason to modify its 'perfect' body.

Quint wouldn't give it the satisfaction of hearing her voice, though it was likely that it would have been shaky due to the rapid beating of her heart. She was upset, nervous, and most of all intimidated, but Quint wanted--needed to fight. Combat was what Quint felt she was best at; she'd need to be shaken down to the very core to extinguish the passionate fire of battle in her soul.
