__ Ada quietly kept to her own as she watched the kunoichi with glasses and somewhat loose braids pass by toward the Arashikage's office. She had the royal guard's attention, but they wouldn't intercept her that time. A bit of conversation could be heard from near the office's doorway and short while later, she heard the door close and several sets of footsteps approach. Kenshin and others would come to the foyer. She didn't stir much, but her gaze definitely came to rest on Captain Kosei even as he approached and addressed her. Ada smiled at her long-since-seen colleague and friend before replying, "It is good to see you again too, Ken. I'll certainly keep that offer in mind if proven necessary." She knew that she shouldn't be breaking silence for such a casual interaction, but she also knew that Shiro stressed formality far less than his subjects so a little slip wouldn't count against her much. "I'm very glad to see you're doing so well. Justice never rests, right?" Ada's smile lingered as she gave Kenshin an acknowledging nod- almost low enough to count as a respectful bow. It didn't take much deduction so she would simply add by addressing the others in the APD Captain's entourage, "Good luck to you all with your assignment." The other guards, including the one standing at attention behind her fully covered in regal cloak remained quite silent.
Giving a chuckle he waved his hand simply,"Hey if it wasn't for them being a**l about my security I wouldn't have brought the royal guards in the first place. Besides Unki would be really mad at me if something happened to me. As far as the regal air, well I'll give you that one, but its not like I can help it." Though it seemed that Toso wanted to speak with him in private. Sticking his head out of the office he called his royal guard,"Secure the door. Nobody in." Stepping back into the office, he made his way over to the window and pushed it open. Leaning against the frame he pulled a cigarette from his jacket and let it rest between his lips. Lighting it with an arc of lightning between his fingers he took care to exhale out of the window before facing his friend,"Your either going to tell me something I am not going to like, or something that is paradigm altering. But whatever it is I am confident we can work through it. So, whats on your mind my friend?" This was one of those rare moments when the man was actually completely serious, giving his friend his undivided attention.

Bowing her head at the sudden praise from the Kage himself Freya smiled. "Yes my lord.." Her tone reassuring emerald hues turned to Kenshin who was leaving at the request of Toso. Following after the Police captain Freya exited, leaving the two men alone with the rest. Once the door closed Kenshin explained the Uchiha's assignment. To Aid the captain in bringing a murder to justice. It was quite simple and from the sounds of it Kenshin wasn't looking to settle this peacefully. "Understood. Once he was for certain everyone in the room was gone and the door shut. Upon recieving the confirmation from Kenshin the device worked as intended he would do something with it as it would cease spinning and the clouds grew dark no longer returning to their fluffy white appearances. Though as he did Toso would then go on, "I realize that may seem a bit shocking or sudden but I'd like for a moment that you listen. War and violence, it seems to be an endless cycle recently bloop. The hidden villages as we call them. Their downfall is the fact that they are no longer truly hidden. While I admit five years of peacetime is nothing to scoff at its still nothing to what could have been ten or even fifteen years." He'd inhale picking up Shiro's fumes and cough briefly and reserved before continuing adjusting his glasses. "Now that Arashigakure is airborne. I intend to never keep it in one place for long. Should we remain a part of the land of lightning you will be held directly responsible for anything deemed or considered a possible invasion by neighboring or distant nations...this way Arashigakure will be held solely responsible for such altercations. However, there is no denying that we'd have difficulty being self-sustaining. Especially with what damages have happened and the damages to be expected. This is why Shiro-nii upon secession, despite being considered an independent nation, I humbly request your continued support as an ally. He wondered is his friend would need more convincing. This a rather significant national decision. By seceding it meant a menagerie of things even if remaining allied nations.

__ Kenshin returned to the Spire, climbed up the stairs, and walked into the foyer. His shadow clone puffed into a cloud of smoke. He immediately felt the memories of that clone present to him in many images. Seeing Ada's smile to him caused his intense glare to soften when he looked at her. The last time someone called Kenshin "Ken" it did not end well for that particular subordinate officer. He would not hold it against Ada or Selina because they were one of his few friends. "Justice never rests and neither do I." The police captain spoke confidently and had the pristine record to back it up. Smiling was not in Kenshin's personal supply of expressions but his softer eyes lingered on Ada's beautiful blue eyes for a few seconds before he turned his attention to his subordinates. A secretary handed him the report of the Kunoichi Killer and he read through it in more detail than he did last time. "I know where to begin now. When the Arashikage is available I must speak with him and then we'll get started." The CORE Commander wanted to update Toso on his latest string of assassinations that led to the fall of the Kokurai and their plots to tamper with the village's vital flight devices. He also wanted the Arashikage to be updated on the immense amount of training that he completed and his new sage capabilities so that he could be of greater use if Kogarashi's jinchuuriki were to find and attack them.

__ Ada nodded her head toward Kenshin who had dismissed the clone that was here until a moment ago. She always admired him for his resolute personality. The Emperor's order came down to reach the posted Royal Guard. "Hierophant." Ada uttered a simple order and the rest of the guard scattered. They would post themselves around and about in a collective formation to guarantee Shiro's safety and privacy. Only the cloaked figure that had been standing behind her int he previous formation didn't depart. 'He's always been a confident guy, but now he seems... strong.' Ada glanced back at Kenshin once more before leaving the foyer to stand at the office's door. "So that was the renown Kenshin Kosei? He seems true to his reputation..." The cloaked Royal Guard finished his idle chatter as they came to stop outside of the Arashikage's office room. "Quite true. Time to focus, X." The metallic man adjusted his hood and stood at attention again. Ada's thoughts trailed back to memories about half a decade old. Many feelings returned and left again as she recalled moments with everyone. 'I hope they are all well.' Ada concluded her thoughts to fulfill her duties.
Selina sulked her way into the office. She was not at all looking forward to this conversation with the kage. Her manager was literally going to chain her to the studio booth. Not that Selina had the fight in her anyhow. She tried to do the right thing, and it went horribly wrong. Now all that was left was to own up to the consequences of her bad decisions. However, as she entered the waiting room, her mouth fell open. Not only was Kenshin was here, but her close friend Ada was also here. Selina had not seen Ada since the village became Arashigakure. She still looked as stunning as she remembered. Tears welled in her eyes as she looked at her old friend. "Ada..." Selina said weakly. She then rushed over to Ada and embraced her in a hug. "Ada!" She cried. She sunk her head into Ada's chest as she continued to cry. She possibly could have contained herself if Kenshin and Ada were not there. However, with the two people who were her support there, she couldn't hold her strength any further. She had no idea how Kameyo would take Selina crying like this like, but at this moment she did not care.
Kameyo had decided not to bother trying to reframe the situation in order to cheer up Selina. She was a woman who took defeat personally and Kameyo could understand that. She was content to just share the idol's company, though the inner tourist in her came out as they approached the office and she got to see the inner workings of a village for the first time. If her awed but lost expression didn't give her away as an outsider, her headband with a foreign symbol on it would.
She watched as Selina apparently found a woman she knew - Ada - and flew into her arms in order to cry on her shoulder. Kameyo felt awkward just watching but also felt it best not to move closer to the fray. "It's a long story. There's a killer robot on the loose with approximately five elemental hearts and presumably one maruton-nature heart, in a style similar to the Jiongu clan's heart extraction skills." She said no more than that, looking at everyone in the room with a carefully neutral attitude.

__ Another chance encounter soon approached as Ada and X were talking on the way to their post outside of the Arashikage's office door. The young woman heard the sobbing Selina approach, but reacted less actively than X would. He shouted the only warning Selina was get, "Do not interfere with the Royal Guard!" A large cannon barrel replaced X's right hand and was leveled with Selina's head. However, the overeagerly defensive sentinel was intercepted by his master who moved her old friend behind her and out of harm's way. "X, stand down. Go to your assigned post and I'll catch up." The emerald greens of his cybernetic eyes shifted from the designated threat to Ada and he immediately complied. "Orders received..." You could tell by his expression that he felt a little guilty but also confused as to why he would be scolded for doing his duty. X's hand reformed where the cannon's barrel was a moment before and he headed up the steps toward the Arashikage's office.
Loosely, Ada returned Selina's embrace but mostly still to protect her from the highly experimental automaton. Once X was gone she turned her gaze to her friend and accepted the pink-haired lass' unspoken sorrows. "You're so energetic, Selina. Why are-" Before Ada could ask what was bothering the girl another who was apparently accompanying Selina chimed in with quite the report. 'A killer robot? Here?' Ada glanced back up the hall where X was supposed to be waiting, 'There's no way that any Mavericks made it here.' Her concern was redirected back to the one bearing the news and, of course, her dear friend. "Is that so?" She had to assume that they might be here to report on this matter to the village's leader, but the Emperor had decreed that none were to interrupt, so that was the standing order. "Then I hope that Captain Kosei can spare a moment to take your statements while the Arashikage is with company." Ada felt a little bad for redirecting this matter to him when he was already prepared to deal with a different homicide case. She had a hunch that the two might not be unrelated, though.
__ Kenshin quickly caught Ada's additional glance as she began leaving the room. Before he could listen to Hajime and Freya's responses, the foyer became much more overwhelming within the minute. While the royal guard secured the door, Selina ran in and interrupted Ada. Watching her hug Ada and cry was expected because the reunion was a long time coming. Suddenly, a cannon was pointed at Selina's head and Kenshin instinctively placed his hand on his foil's handle at his waist. Before he could intercept, however, Ada dismissed the person. Well, it was not a person at all really as far as Kenshin understood. Kenshin noticed him earlier as some sort of advanced technology with his activated byakugan from before. When Ada mentioned that Kenshin could take the report he immediately walked toward Kameyo who stood at a slight distance. He grabbed a notepad from a desk and a pen. When the pen clicked he stared at an empty flipped page and began jotting notes. "What's the story? Who saw what? Why and where? What happened? Give me full descriptions." His tone was serious and rushed but with a professional exactitude. He vigorously jotted the notes that the robot had access to many elements. He was unfamiliar with what the word Jiongu meant so he put a question mark next to it for further questions. Writing reports and notes from witnesses was a duty that Kenshin had conducted perhaps hundreds of times by now. He needed detailed information before proceeding. The captain's back was turned to Ada and Selina, but he was eager to hear from the pop idol once she composed herself. Why was she getting into this kind of trouble if she returned to her music career? That was the central question among many more. Kenshin, as an investigator, always agonized over questions unanswered.

Nuibari Attributes • Infinite Needles | While Nuibari functions perfectly fine as a long, thin blade that sits between a Jian and a Foil. It's comprised of infinite, instantly replenishing needles. If an opponent is stabbed, the blade will leave several needles inside of the opponent. It also never runs out of string either, with one at the base of the weapon, and one attached to each needle. Similarly, unhindered, the weapon always comes back when thrown for the techniques below, and can be pulled to the user free of activation via its wire so long as the nigh-invisible string is not cut. • Thread the Needle | This skill increases the speed of the wielder moderately while Nuibari is wielded.
Selina took the moment she needed from Ada’s embrace. She was embarrassed that she almost made Ada’s male body guard attack her, but she needed her friend’s support. It was only from the support that she could find the strength to turn back to her dear friend Kenshin. His stern eyes made her feel more judged than she was at the moment. It was nearly impossible to make direct eye contact, and her glance fell every time she needed to remember something awful. “Well, you see, I made a new friend, Kameyo, and she had a bad past.” She began. “Because of that, the two of us were praying when two APD officers tried to arrest her for a crime she didn’t commit! She ran and I followed. When I caught her she was so nervous that I-“
This was the hard part. Her eyes could not leave the ground as she fought back her tears. “I know that I’m supposed to not do anymore ninja work because I have to be an idol for the people. And I know that I was pulled out from even helping Arashi back when Uzushio attacked us. But, she needed help, and I didn’t want her to suffer just because of something in the past. We all have histories.” She swallowed down her tears as she looked back into Kenshin’s pale eyes. The two of them had to do horrible things to protect Kumo back when the Uhv attacked. And yet, one was reached as the captain of the police, and the other was an idol. They were allowed to put their past behind them, so why couldn’t they help give other people that chance?
“So we investigated the crime scene. It led to some creepy underground laboratory.” She looked to the side not because of shame, but because she was trying to remember all of the strange things she saw. “There was a man, this evil scientist guy, and the five hearts he killed those innocent people for in the farmlands were hanging above this man. It wasn’t human though, but all metal. Then he animated a whole bunch of these metal human looking things. They were like soldiers with ninjutsu powers.” Selina instinctively grabbed her left arm. It was still bruised from when it was broken by one of the robots, and then mended by Kameyo. “We defeated all of the bad guys, and Kameyo had her fish friend separate the doctor from the metal man he worked on. However, that’s when all of the chakra from the room was drained away. The metal man then rose, and he killed the scientist who created him. He didn’t want to attack us yet, however, and before we could say anything he disappeared by I think using lightning and fire elements together to make light.” Selina concluded. That was everything she could think of off the top of her head. Of course she was emotionally drained so she probably left some details out, but that was the gist.
Kameyo watched the officials work together quickly after her mention of the killer robot, leaving no time for surprise or suspicion. Captain Kosei was taking notes down as Selina decided to spill the tea on the events of the past day with mild emotion. Kameyo moved closer, as it appeared no security was going to tear her out of the room just yet, and put a comforting hand on Selina's shoulder as she finished the last of her report. "That's exactly how it happened," she confirmed. "I didn't see the robotic mechanism on the way out of the cave. But if the robot functions under Jiongu mechanics due to the manner in which it was created, its tendrils, and the variety of hearts it is able to manage, it should have sacrificed the ability to use katon and raiton natures independently the moment it combined them to create hikaruton, or light. However, this robot is not like a normal Jiongu clansmen so I cannot confirm this to be true, only that it possesses many chakra natures as well as tendrils."
Kameyo's frown deepened at the thought of her clan techniques being degraded. "I also understand that I am not of your countrymen but I've been in Arashi for less than a week and I've... I would like to help. Any way I can."
Following his friend into the emptiness he listened simply as the man explained his thoughts. While he could not fault the man for his desire to create a sanctuary he could understand the anger that more than a few citizens were displaying. Pinching his nose he sighed,"You know this really could have come at a better time. I wish you had contacted me before you did all this. I could have helped you sooth things over with the people. You know as well as I do, that your only a kage as long as they allow you to be one." Gesturing to the recreation of the city,"With all that said however, I dont understand where you need help with supplies then. If your able to gather them on your own." Tapping his chin he pointed to the floating city as he continued,"I dont believe that you are unaware of the military repercussions of this. Once word spreads of this, and it will. It going to force an arms race. The UHV already had their airships if someone were to figure out how to reverse engineer them and then restart producing them. I dont need to tell you how big of a threat that would represent to this village. Beyond that, this brings up a new political problem. Airspace. I can honestly say that I am sure I can provide you free movement throughout the lands of the Empire but the moment you cross our borders is the moment your under threat." He was really starting to hope that his friend had waited to allow him time to sort all these things out.
