Maebe came down riding the beast all the way to the ground, catching his outstretched hand and snagging a high five that he hadn't meant to give. She tumbled onto her knees, and found herself attacked by superhero bandage saving.
She was grateful, because she needed it.
Covered in bandages and looking more like a punk than a princess or a warrior, Maebe started heading for the lake with him. The vines swung her back with their hardest throws, and the sludge reminded her of creepy old men who never understood the word no. She plodded back to the beginning, and bounced up and down, impatient to try again.

If by some chance she was given the movie Tarzan, or forced to watch it in any capacity, she knew that she was going to hate every minute the vine swinging took place. She rubbed her ankles the second time the vines dragged her back, and peered into the water, waiting for just the right moment to rush through unhindered.
It usually didn't work, but she was across before she could let out the breath she didn't realize she was holding.

The pool was probably scared of Maebe at this point. Or maybe it just remembered that Dawson was very used to and eager to rip the vines out to their very roots. Either way, he ran when she deemed it safe to and made it safe and sound.
He stuck another bandaid on her just in case.

They were getting smarter. The Cerberus chased him until he thought he was safe, and then the damn stag appeared. He never stood a chance.

His whine sounded like the kind of noise a puppy made if you took too long giving him a treat. She leaned in and squeezed him around the middle with a hug, despite the roar of the monster in front of them.
"All right, keep your marble pants on." She muttered, pulling away to go charging for the beast.

The chipping had worked fairly well last time, as long as the statue never got it's paws or hooves on top of Dawson. "Keep it distracted, confuse it!" She told him, as she snuck behind it and began to ice pick the ******** out of it.

It was slow work, and she waited for exactly the right moment each time she struck. She was knocked away afterward, but the beast began to falter as it felt the fatigue of being taken apart, piece by piece.

But the dust made her strength falter, and her hand slipped as it chipped off only a loose chunk, which then proceeded to fall on her foot. The expletive that left her lips was creative.
