tab He called it. The man who owned the place she was standing in completely called it. He’d seen this happen she was sure. But it was still so… Strange! She’d never dealt with eggs hatching. OR more than one suddenly hatching at the same time. How does that happen?! She barely made it to the floor before both were hatched and she was watching in wide eyed wonder. She’d definitely never seen this happen before. Ever. Running away didn’t seem too bad... A small chuckle would have escaped her at the thought, but Tsubin was right. The fiery pokemon clinging to her shirt… It was definitely a Larvitar. Tsubin’s scan with his pokedex confirmed it.
”I think you’re right… But how is this possible? I didn’t think pokemon could just… Be different?” She asked curiously as Tsubin’s cousin asked who he was talking about before letting the weird Houdour out of its ball. She looked over from her seat on the floor, a small smile flitting across her face as the strange pokemon started hovering in front of the now glasses wearing cousin. Aelin’s hand naturally went to cuddle the baby pokemon into her as the other egg popped open and the long serpent rose out of it. Aelin curled her arms around the Larvitar after it grabbed onto her again. Its seat suddenly gone. Tsubin seemed at another loss for words. It wasn’t shocking. If he was right… If she was right? That was…
”Rayyy… Rayquaza!” It stated proudly as it floated over to the other levitating pokemon, almost as if it was asking for the Houndour to play. Aelin stood, the egg shells falling from her lap. ”If you’re hallucinating… I think we all are… Oh! I’ll clean up the egg shells!” She started, one arm flailing slightly as if meaning she would sweep up the crumbling bits of hardened calcium. ”Laaaaar… Vitaaaa~”
”Torchic! Chic chic!” The little bird flapped its wings as it happily hopped around the room. Two new friends! This was so exciting! Of course… She had no idea what the whole hullabaloo was about the Rayquaza. Of course, it was a legend but it was a baby! It would be fiiiiine~
”Rayquaza, The sky high pokemon. It flies in the ozone layer, way up high in the sky. Until recently, no one had ever seen it. Aelin’s pokedex spouted what it knew of the species. There was their proof. The little serpent, probably no bigger than a pumpkin when balled up like it had been, was still ‘challenging’ the houndour to some play. Aelin looked over as the words struck her. ”Well… hearing about it like a trope makes it seem less huge.” She chuckled. It stung a little to be thought of as something common like that… But oh well. ”Yeah… Mother and Father wanted their daughters to marry into other influential families and have children to cement the ties between them… I don’t want to just be a pawn in my father’s game. That’s all.” She clutched the Larvitar to her chest. It narrowed its eyes at Aiden, noticing the difference in feeling from his ‘momma’.
”I am sorry, by the way. For getting anyone in this… Like what happened earlier, Tsubin. I’m sorry.”

↳The cracking noises had ceased at last as the long serpent pokemon floated from the shell it was in. The sounds didn't seem to have reached into the kitchen, where Hikari and Yuu were. Either that or Uncle Haru had gotten them food to keep them occupied and away from the new hatchlings for the time being. It was probably a good call; too many new presences all at once might stress them out. Out of reflex, Tsubin had grabbed the handles of the broom and dustpan set that were usually kept next to the doorway to the kitchen, pulling his Pokedex back out and striding back over to the stairs where Aelin was sitting with the newly hatched Larvitar in her lap and cautiously eyeing the Rayquaza hovering nearby. "That can't be all there is on it," he muttered to himself as he pointed the sensor at the dragon after listening to what Aelin's reading said about it. He pressed the navigation buttons a few more times before it finally made an announcement on its own. "Rayquaza is said to have lived for hundreds of millions of years. Legends remain of how it put to rest the clash between Kyogre and Groudon. This Pokémon consumes water and meteoroids for sustenance in the atmosphere."".... Huh... So do you just.... water it? Not like a plant, but... uh..."
It seemed like every other day or so, there was a new baby Pokemon in this house whenever he was staying here. Now that he thought about it... eggs hatching in this house wasn’t all that unusual. As far as Tsubin was aware, his uncle Haru and Alden weren’t Pokémon breeders themselves. They sure brought home lots of eggs though. "Believe it or not, Ae, this is pretty normal in this household," he remarked as he approached his friend. "Er.... aside from weird variations and pokemon that aren't known to have... you know.... bred. Eggs hatching here is normal, I mean." As for her question of why familiar pokemon were just different, he found himself at a loss. "Erm..." Blankly, he turned his head to look at Yukikaze, who turned his head to meet his trainer's gaze. He sure was a strange one too. Tsubin could still feel some heat radiating off the floating black canine from where he stood, so he could tell the fire-typing was still existent. "Yukikaze, do you notice much difference between yourself and Kuroko?" he asked curiously. Ah, both of their names... He wasn't sure how the thought came to him. It was as if their names subliminally came to him after they let themselves be caught. The male Houndour tipped his head inquisitively before shaking his head. "No?" Maybe they were just used to each other. How else would he have been able to catch two at the same time if they didn't separate from one another after emerging from the rock? "Also... are you two siblings?" Yukikaze let out an affirming bark before turning his attention to the relatively small dragon floating over to him, audibly sniffing at the black serpent creature, and then turning to do the same at the small avian on the floor. The little bird had a familiar warmth of heat that he could feel from where he floated. Another fire-type, huh. "I uh... guess that means that sometimes they're just born different? Almost like shinies, but not really, I'm assuming."
As Aelin stood up from where she sat and fussed about the bits of eggshell that had fallen from her clothes, he waved a hand as he raised the dustpan and broom duo in his other hand. "Don't worry, I got it." He jokingly shooed her out of the way as he started to sweep most of the shells into the pan, momentarily pausing to pick up the large chunk of shell the Rayquaza hatched from and raised it to eye-level. The casing was fairly thick and hefty, a little denser than most others he had been able to examine before. And then he turned slightly where he stood and chucked it across the room at Alden. Yukikaze had already moved out of the way, accepting the dragon's little "challenge" as he flew toward a more open space in the room. "Dude, don't compare people's lives to friggin television," he scolded the older boy with a scowl. Alden caught the piece of shell easily as if they rehearsed an act for several years, without even flinching at the sudden attack. "Right, my bad. Force of habit." Setting the piece of shell aside on his desk, he adjusted himself in his seat, leaning forward with his chin propped on his elbow over his knee as Aelin gave more explanation to her situation. "Gosh, upper-class drama, huh," he sighed. "I wouldn't be surprised if 'trophy wife' was listed several tiers above 'business partner' in those.""Ugh, don't make me think of that," Tsubin groaned as he looked up from finishing sweeping the rest of the eggshells up, tipping the dustpan back and tapping it against the floor to shift the pieces away from the edge. "I'd consider running away too if I were in that predicament."
Again, he shook his head as Aelin apologized as he walked by her. "No need for that, Ae," he said, pausing briefly in his tracks to poke her in the forehead with his free hand. "You're trying to get control over a situation you originally didn't have a say in. Don't feel bad about something you feel you need to do, okay?" Raising the dustpan, he dumped it into the small trash can nearby and returned the set to its former spot, turning back to actually walk into the kitchen this time and again, pausing in the doorway and looking over at the older girl. "Anyway, those Pokemart sandwiches were good n' all, but want some actual food? I got leftover sukiyaki in the fridge."

tab Tsu pointed his pokedex at the Rayquaza, and sure enough there was more. Was there a setting on hers that she needed to undo to get more info like that? "Well then... So we plant and water the dragon... That should go over well." She chuckled. While she may be discerning it's size like a vegetable, she doubted the playful noodle would let her just... Plant it. Although, at the mention of water the Ray perked and almost lost interest completely from the ghost. She looked at her pokedex, intent on getting whatever setting reversed. She'd like to know all the details from now on too... A couple button presses and she pointed the device at her Larvitar.
Larvitar. The Rock Skin Pokemon. It feeds on soil. After it has eaten a large mountain, it will fall asleep so it can grow. It is born deep underground. It can't emerge until it has entirely consumed the soil around it. It eats its way through dirt to the surface, where its parents are. It doesn't deal well with the bright light it finds there. The robotic voice buzzed. It gave a bit more info than it had before. This was at least a start of course.
Looking up at Tsubin as he stood near her and mentioned the hectic egg hatching they normally have happening here. "I've... Never seen a pokemon hatch before. That's really cool." As he shooed her away to sweep up the egg shell that had fallen from her clothes. She chuckled lightly as the male joked. Celery tweeted a little as she hopped about. Happily ready to play with the new additions. She especially enjoyed the fact that the Rayquaza and the Houndour were about to play. She could join! She could! "No worries. It's fine. Although I've not seen many tv shows, I'm sure I can understand the entertainment value..." She shrugged. The Larvitar continued to cling to her, now happily content because she had chuckled. His momma had better be happy! She now had him!
As Tsu started by her, he poked her in the forehead. The gesture causing her to slightly blush. "Well. Thanks. I still appreciate this." She grinned as he walked back towards the kitchen and then offered food. "You know the way to this girl's heart." She joked. She was always hungry.

↳Tsubin knew he wasn't all that tech-oriented as his cousin, but he found the information setting on the Pokedex easy to navigate to. He figured most trainers wouldn't have cared much for a longer data entry on their end, as the data would be more useful to the researchers anyway. It seemed curiosity got to Aelin as well, but before he could offer to show her through it, it seemed she managed to figure it out on her own. The result of her efforts gave them more information about the Larvitar. The familiar kind, at least, which his own device also picked up as it let out a small beep. "So Rayquaza can do with a spray bottle, and this is the one we're supposed to plant," he jested, nodding toward the much smaller hatchling at the latter half of his statement. "Sounds easy enough, I think. Just hope it's not picky about the soil."
He chuckled at Aelin's fascination of witnessing her first eggs hatching. "That's one way of witnessing the miracle of birth," he remarked. "At least it wasn't the other kind." That would've been a whole different mess that he wouldn't be ready for at all. Also, it wasn't the time to be thinking of that while he still had an appetite to be sated. Tsubin glanced over to Yukikaze as he circled around in the air once before landing and hopping over to the Torchic, long fluffy tail swaying behind him as he crouched to eye-level with her, nose twitching as he sniffed at her feathers. The Houndour still seemed rather energetic despite being bumped around like he was before their encounter. He wondered if the siblings somehow had food with them in the rock. And while he was still thinking of her, he reached to his belt and pressed the button on Kuroko's pokeball, letting her out as well. "Figured you'd wanna join your brother and make friends," he said to her as she looked up at him curiously. "Go on, go play so I can get everyone's food ready." The Houndour let out a small bark at him before trotting over to her brother and the Torchic he was currently examining.
"Ah, but it's gonna be a little bit before everything's all heated back up and whatnot, Ae," he said to Aelin as he turned to her again, soon disappearing into the kitchen. "We still have a bunch of snacks from earlier if you don't wanna wait. You did buy quite a bit before we left Oldale." The mention of food also seemed to grab Alden's attention as he stood up from his seat. "Well Aelin, entertainment or not, it's still your reality," he said, stretching his arms upward. "Not sure what the extent they'd go through to drag you back is, but you should be careful." He strode across the room to the kitchen as well, pausing to look at the female Houndour that was released. He seemed relieved to see another regular Pokemon since his cousin's arrival again, letting out a sigh before looking back to their guest. "Plenty of room in the kitchen if you wanna wait in there with us."
Tsubin was greeted by the sight of the large Aerodactyl perched atop the island, staring down at Hikari and Yuu, who were already at one end of the long table with Uncle Haru. Alden soon slipped by behind him to get to the other side of the island to pull a cloth out of one of the drawers to dampen and start cleaning off the table. It seemed over the time he was preoccupied with processing the hatching of Aelin's newest pokemon, his uncle had been entertaining the two after he left the room, currently engrossing himself in reading something on his phone as he sat across from the Lampent and Riolu. Yuu already had a bowl of food in front of him as he sat on the table, looking over as he noticed his trainer entering the room. He let out a small yip as he held up one of the currently chewed-on morsels in his paws to show him. 'Tsu, Hikari said these are only for Pokemon and humans can't eat them,' his voice echoed in his mind. 'Is that true?'"You are his guardian figure. Don't be surprised he doesn't take my word for it," Hikari chimed in, shrugging as she turned where she floated. "Yeah well, you also tend to be a troll, Hika. But she's right about that. Technically, people can eat pokemon food, but we might get sick from it. It's not made for us."'Huh? Rea-choo--' Yuu let out a sudden sneeze, startling himself and Hikari. He sat silently for a few moments, staring down at the piece of food he had been biting. 'S.... sick like that Tsu?' Tsubin snorted at the noise, laughing a bit though he was just as surprised as them. "N-no, not at all like that," he chuckled. "That was uh... probably a cold or Pokerus, right Uncle Haru?""Pokerus," the man said gruffly with a nod, not looking up from his phone. He sounded sure about it, and very used to it; Tsubin felt he should take that as fact for now.
Also, he had food to get heated back up. "Hector, your tail's in the way," he said to the Aerodactyl as he pat his back, prompting the living fossil to lift his arrow-tipped tail so the boy could get into the cabinet. Tsubin pulled out a single-burner electric stovetop, carrying it back to the emptier side of the table and plugging the cord into the nearby outlet before turning it on and setting the temperature to high. If Aelin wandered in as he was walking back to the fridge, he hoped he wouldn't have to remind her to not touch the hot thing again. She didn't need both of her hands to be out of commission now.

They don't just immediately come out starving for dirt right?" She chuckled. Patting the bottom of the fire Larvitar, Aelin looked on as Danger Noodle followed as the Ghost descended to Celery's level. "Torchic chic chic!"
If only she could understand the words of a pokemon. She looked over as Tsubin mentionned the miracle of birth and shuddered. She was only 19, she didn't want any children anytime soon. Or ever. Maybe later in life. But for rihgt now? Nah, she was good with what she was dealing with. "Unfortunately, with what Tsu and I just dealt with on the way here... A lot..." Aelin nodded as she followed the boys into the kitchen. A giant Aerodactyl taking her eye. They went wide as she took in the large rock bird and looked over at the two it was staring at. How was this normal?! She'd never even seen one of them! She pulled out her pokedex to get a read on what it was before putting away the small contraption. Who was the lucky owner of that!
Aelin sat down next to the two pokemon, taking a chair and set the clingy fire type onto the table. He was getting warm.... She chuckled as she caught only Tsubin's side of the question. "Pokefood is made specifically for you guys. It contains all the things you need to be healthy and stron-" The sneeze caught her mid sentence as the Riolu sniffing a bit. Pokerus? Wasn't that infectious? But he wasn't... "I probably sound stupid for this... What is pokerus?" She asked. A sound from the living area they were just in startled her. The Rayquaza flew into the kitchen to lay on her shoulders and sneezed. Again. "Raaaaaay..." It said dejectedly. Aelin couldn't help but put a hand up to pat the pumpkin sized noodle. But these people weren't concerned... So maybe it wasn't anything huge... She shouldn't worry... They seemed to know a lot about pokemon and she... Well she didn't...
She watched as Tsu walked around the counters and scolded the aerodactyl. It just moved and continued staring. She tilted her head at the giant lizard looking bird and then looked over to her hosts. "What are you making Tsu?" She asked. Wait... Had she said his nickname out loud before?

↳A strange question seemed to follow him through the doorway into the kitchen. Did Pokemon demand food soon after hatching? Honestly, it was something he had never observed right after eggs hatched around him in his uncle's house. And most eggshells were already fragile to begin with, so it shouldn't take too much energy to break through them from inside. He figured there was more of a moment to take in the fact that the baby Pokemon had emerged into a strange new world and curiosity would override hunger from whatever energy was expended to hatch. "Here's hoping he's not a picky baby," Tsubin huffed, smirking behind the cabinet he dug through after the electric stovetop was placed and starting to heat up. "Pokedex entries only talk about what they're like in the wild anyway, not when they just come out of an egg." He could still hear Kuroko's claws tapping against the wood floor in the other room as she circled the Torchic curiously, sniffing vigorously until she had the avian's scent committed to memory. What he didn't get to see was the female Houndour stepping in close to give the bird a lick. Yukikaze didn't seem as invested as his sister was in examining their current companion, but still he also paced around the two in the opposite direction. Their other new companion didn't seem to want to stay in the room, its long serpentine body flowing into the kitchen after Aelin followed the other humans in. The canines weren't too sure if there was a problem; it seemed to change its mind about playing. But at the same time, there seemed to be a certain smell wafting through the air. It caught more of the male's attention. Was that food?
Alden huffed at Aelin's answer. Thanks to the app build into his cousin's phone, he was already aware at least one of those two was being pursued. Its GPS function wouldn't do much but just track if they were running or not, but it was good enough as an alert, he believed. "Seems pretty tough already. Three days of peace, then all this, huh?" he remarked as he finished setting the table, circling back to the fridge to pull out a large container of what looked like soup and another container of cooked noodles, assorted vegetables, mushrooms, and tofu. "And you have two pursuers or potentially more, if I remember correctly. How'd you plan on getting around them out here, if I may ask?""You're starting to sound like a helicopter parent," Tsubin japed at Alden as he was pulling a shallow iron pot out of a different cupboard on the front of the island. With the boy now in front of him, the Aerodactyl took the opportunity to crane his neck down and lightly clamp his large jaws and sawblade teeth onto Tsubin's shoulder, letting out a low growl. Yuu let out a frightened squeak at the sight and leapt to his feet on the table, ready to spring off the table and come to his trainer's rescue, but... Tsubin didn't seem concerned at all, raising a hand to stop the Riolu. Not even Hikari or Uncle Haru reacted either. "Hector," he said sternly as he stood back up and made eye contact, poking at the side of the dinosaur's neck with his free hand as he held the pot in his currently trapped arm. "Dude, I know you're hungry, but so are we. Lemme set up the people food first and then I'll get you a bowl." It didn't seem to be the answer the Aerodactyl wanted, but it was acceptable for now. Letting out a loud snort, he released his grasp, a long string of drool lifting along with his maw as Tsubin moved the pot away to avoid getting any into it. "Eugh." His shoulder was already soaked? At least it missed the pot; it wouldn't hurt to wash it again to be sure. He moved over to the sink and turned the faucet on, quickly swishing hot water around it before dumping it out and turning the water off to return it to the table and fill it with the veggies and tofu. He even made sure to grab a pair of tongs and a ladle on the way back.
Aelin seemed to have another question, this time about the answer he gave Yuu. It seemed like a new thing to her. "It's... kinda like a cold," he explained as he lifted the now-filled pot onto the burner after pouring the broth in. "It's somewhat contagious, but not to people. And for whatever reason strengthens Pokemons' bodies a bit, but it'll go away shortly. Maybe within a day or two."
Oh right, he almost forgot the meat and eggs. And he didn't think to ask if Aelin had ever had something he had been used to for most of his life. It must be a weird transition. "Ever had hotpot before?" Tsubin asked as he quickly walked back over to the fridge, pulling out a small tray of thinly sliced beef and a lid from the dish rack nearby and dumping the meat into the pot as he made it back to the table. The shortening of his name just barely registered to him, briefly making him pause before continuing. Funny how the name of the dish also had that now-familiar nickname people kept giving him. "This one is sukiyaki. It's like one of those one-pot meals where you cook everything together. Has a sweet and salty taste from the broth that gets into everything else. This is already all pre-cooked; I just separated it so at least the noodles don't get too soggy from sitting in broth. Can't say the same about the beef staying tender after heating back up." Before covering the pot, he picked up a slice of meat with the tongs, tossing it back at Hector as he growled again behind him. It was caught easily with a glare. "Have more patience, geez."
After setting the tongs back down against the lid, he rushed off again to get a few large bowls from a cabinet and also a bag of more Pokemon food. And while it was still on his mind, he reached to his belt and released his other Pokemon to let them get fed. Behind him, Aoi also let out a sneeze, a small spray of water splashing onto the floor by the sink. And into his sock. Tsubin stared down at the small puddle for a few seconds, then moved his foot out of it. "..... I'll get to that later."

tab A shiver ran down the small bird's side as she froze. She'd been fluttering around on the floor whilst the two hounds checked her over and sniffed her. She was taken completely aback by the sudden lick... The shiver subsided as she turned to look at the ghost. "Tooooooorchic!" She squeaked at the bigger ghost. Flapping her wings, the tiny bird lifted a small fraction off the ground before starting what she hoped was a game of chase. She flapped her wings as she clucked around into the living area Alden had been in, before racing into the kitchen.
Aelin tilted her head as things were said and she was questioned. Her burgundy brown hair falling in waves over her shoulder. Sriracha was already trying to get back into her lap. He wanted all his momma's attention, and was about to demand it. The hand on Danger Noodle's head made the tiny Larvitar rather jealous. Not only her his mommy talking to other people, but now she was giving the large serpent attention! How dare they try to steal her from him.
"To be frank, I was hoping it would take them longer to find me. I wasn't expecting to get caught by that rock in Oldale, and had been hoping to be much... Much further along than those woods they found me in... I still apologize. But... Considering my father has two sons and two daughters... Or... Three daughters... Anyway, I'm under the very real understanding that the need to merge with other companies and families is a very real problem for them." The very serious tone of the discussion had brought out her... Ladylike voice. If she'd had tea, she would have sipped on it just then. "Not to mention, I had honestly hoped that it would take longer for the family to... ask her..."
Aelin chuckled as the Aerodactyl grabbed hold of Tsubin. Of course he seemed so used to this action. If there was no need for worry, then she'd not worry... Right? That was also when the Rayquaza sneezed again. This time, being right next to her ear, she cringed under his weight. An unexpected loud noise in her ear definitely hurt a little bit. "A day or two eh? Alright, but let's try to not sneeze in my ear again. Kay?" She asked the Reptilian. It seemed to smirk at her and wrapped happily around her shoulders. His head landing once again on her left shoulder.
"So then... Alden, what do you do? You seem to know so much about everything. Are you... a spy?" She asked, keeping her face as serious as she possibly could. "Nope, I've never had hotpot. But it sounds yummy. Better than the junk we got from the pokemon center. Sweet and salty? How is that possible?"

↳Small pointed ears perked up as the bird squeaked and ran across the room. Perhaps that lick was a little too friendly as a greeting for the bird? The two pairs of eyes followed Celery first, contemplating their next action. Kuroko glanced up at Yukikaze, both seeming to have similar thoughts. Where was she going? Why was she running? Regardless whichever had an answer first, they both ended up in the same area. Additionally, a scent in the air caught their attention. Was it food? It certainly smelled like it, and it came to their attention that it had been roughly half a day since they’d eaten anything. Yukikaze let out a small bark at his sister, announcing that they should investigate both the whereabouts of their new companion and the smell of food. Kuroko didn’t wait another second after his suggestion, immediately making a beeline for the door they saw Celery run through.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, there was a tiny bit of trouble for Tsubin, having to navigate the room around a puddle and then five more small pokemon taking up the floor area as they spaced themselves out in their currently new environment. At least until they dispersed a little more. Both Lime and Sage decided to hop up onto the side of the table Hikari and Yuu occupied; Miso, Aoi, and Wurmple all seemed to settle on keeping in close proximity to their trainer, all three sets of eyes cautiously glued to the winged dinosaur. Soon after, Kuroko sprinted through the doorway as she followed after Aelin’s Torchic, slowing to a trot at half a lap around the table before slowing to a halt as she sniffed around the room, joined by her brother phasing into view through the wall. And now he had a small crowd at his feet, all now very conspicuously alerted to the presence of a predatory living fossil who was gazing back at them hungrily. First off, he had to find a spot away from Hector to set down the larger bowl for the smaller group. Opting to take the lazy route, he set Hector’s usual bowl down on the counter first before setting the other down and giving it a push to slide across the floor. It stopped short of the wall, and he took the time to give the Aerodactyl his share while waiting for the other bowl to stop wobbling in place, moving to fill it as soon as the first one was full. As soon as Hector visibly turned away to eat, the majority of Tsubin’s pokemon scurried over to the large bowl on the floor, starting to eat. Though they surrounded it, there was still quite a bit of room for others to join.
With that task finished, he rolled up the bag and put it aside on an empty seat, and finally took his seat beside Aelin with a huff as she finished answering Alden’s question. He hadn’t noticed her sudden change in poise, nor the way Alden raised an eyebrow at the shift in her demeanor and leaned forward on the table in interest as she spoke. He suddenly felt like he was in a business meeting instead of sitting at the kitchen table. "Man, being born into rich business tycoon families just sounds like a bad reincarnation curse," Tsubin muttered as he reached out to the electric pot’s lid, lifting it and setting it aside to stir the now steaming broth. The way she talked about her family sending her half sister made it sound like her family had to pull out their trump card or similar. "What, is she normally like the last resort? Were they planning to get you hitched by the end of the week or something?" His expression soured at the general thought of it as he loosened the noodles with the ladle. "Man, rich families be wild."
Alden leaned back in his seat as Aelin redirected her attention to him with a question. "Heh, spy. I prefer ‘hobbyist’, but that sounds a lot more interesting," he said simply with a smirk as he stood. ”Care for a drink? Water? Soda? Tea?”"Soda for me. Please. Also get the eggs and rice. Please." Tsubin ignored the following scoff from his cousin, focusing on spooning the broth over the meat and veggies as his friend questioned the flavoring of it. Alden was well-aware Tsubin wasn't just being lazy about it; he just wanted to be lazy and carry less back to the table. Still though, he got up anyway, the chair scooting back loudly as he pushed it out of the way and walked to the counter. "Most of the flavor comes from the broth. The dashi and soy sauce make up the salty part; sake, mirin, and sugar make it sweet. Assuming you know about sake and mirin already, no, the alcohol boils out of it, so nobody can get drunk from drinking the soup."

Her hand rubbed a small circle on the black head on her shoulder. Her eyes a little distant as she thought about her family. "According to Mother, yes? Probably... There were 2 potential suitors and families that she was teaching me about. So I'd know the family' if I married one... I could probably guess how far into the planning she was already..."
Hobbyist? With the knowledge of her family and others? He would be an asset to whichever family he went too... The thought struck her a bit odd. Why even think like that. She was trying to get out of that head space! "Uh... Soda please? I think I'd start raising my pinky with this conversation if you brought tea."She chuckled. Running her had in clockwise motions, her scarf was starting to get dizzy. He slunk off her side and into the air to watch the festivities. Everything was so full of life in the room. Mostly food. The Aerodactyl was very much the fill of the room at that point. And Danger Noodle could appreciate the scare it brought all of the other small pokemon.
"Sake... That's the alcohol that they serve at ramen houses right? I don't know what mirin is... But if you say so, I'll be excited to try." She pat the baby in her lap. He was kinda heavy...

tab The Bagon was less than thrilled that it's target was no longer out in the open. He'd been watching them from just outside the windows, and this was definitely the weirdest trainer he'd seen. First she touched that huge rock after it fell from the sky, then the mishap of the eggs. This girl was becoming a chore. A sigh escaped his lips a moment a shake followed. Somehow he'd gotten attached... Even agreed to himself he was part of her team. She just didn't know it yet. But he needed to be able to prove to this idiot that he was more than her other pokemon.
