It wasn't long before Sylva rejoined Luca, seating herself down and working with Rolex to make sure all their plates of food rested on the table neatly. As soon as she started to dive into her food, an announcement came over the ships intercom, telling everyone they were getting ready to depart. The trip from Kanto to Alola wasn't an entirely long journey, but it was going to take them overnight to get there. The cruise was meant to last pretty long. Sylva didn't entirely care, eagerly eating her food. It was really good too, they certainly went all out preparing some of the meals to make them more than delectable. The red-head occasionally lifted her head mid bite, to glance at Luca with a grin.

Unsurprisingly, each time Sylva looked up at her friend she was quite busy stuffing her face. Meat, salads and sweets were all apart of the array of food she picked up from the buffet. She had a lot more food than she did the day prior in Cerulean, but not all of it was meant for her. Her pokemon ate well too, grabbing a plate with anything they wanted to try, and Priscilla taking small bites out of some of the meat she occasionally grabbed. In reality, the meal was a bit more reasonable than it looked, but the spread nonetheless drew curious gazes and almost pompous sneers from those who even bothered to notice them.
The young woman returned her companion's grin whenever she looked up. "Enjoying yourself?" She asked somewhat teasingly as she started to run low on her own food. "Out of curiosity, you know much about Alola? I certainly wasn't expecting to get a quick little vacation in the middle of our adventure, so I haven't read up on it."

The fanciful dishes before her held an array of scents, all of which were mouthwatering. Sylva had some trouble trying to pick where she wanted to begin, but once she did, she couldn't stop. That was until, as she finished a plate, Luca spoke up. The red-head nodded eagerly when she asked if she was enjoying herself, taking a sip of her water to down what was in her mouth, allowing her to speak. "Uhh..." She thought. Did she know much about Alola? "Just that it's a bunch of islands." She replied. "Other than that, no. But it makes me even more excited not knowing what I'm suppose to look forward to." She added.
Much like Luca's various Pokemon who joined them, Sylva's own Pokemon enjoyed a bit of the food that was offered. Rolex enjoyed a nice salad, while Wixon chowed down on some pulled-meat. Shane, who was still happily tied around Sylva's wrist observed the area around him, taking in the various people who looked their way... some with none-to-kind glares. A few of the younger not-yet-tainted children looked Shane's way with bright eyes, rather excited by the sight of the balloon Pokemon. They were ushered away by their parents before they could approach Sylva however. Which made Shane just a bit sad.

Luca hummed with a little disappointment when her companion proved to know just as much as she did, hoping that she might've heard something interesting. "Yeah, I guess that's true. Though, personally, I actually like looking into the places I'm going to and discovering places that I'd like to visit." Luca leaned back in her chair as she took a sip of her drink, pausing her consumption of half the world's food supply to speak. "There's always gonna be places you wouldn't know about unless you do some research, at least if you're just dropping into a new region for a night or two. And even if you're there to run around it, there's always things you'll otherwise miss without hearing about it first.
"I'm not saying it's no fun to discover things yourself," she thought to clarify. "I just prefer the journey over the destination is all." The swordswoman chuckled a little as she resumed eating, taking a few slices of the whole cheesecake she took from the buffet table. She almost seemed to melt in her chair as she took her first few bites, relaxing as she offered a piece to Sylva.

Sitting up in her chair some, the red-head thought over Luca's reply. She then gained an idea. "There is a small gift shop on board, I think they'd have at least a map or a brochure about Alola in it? If not, we could always ask some of the staff.... a few of them seemed nicer than the others." Sylva suggested. Taking another bite of her... what appeared to be some sort of noodle casserole. She then looked up seeing Luca offering a piece of of a cheese cake she'd snatched. Accepting the offer she used one of the cleaner plates to place a slice upon it. At this point, her four or so plates that had previously been chock full were now barely without a scrap on them, and she could feel the sluggishness of a full stomach encroaching on her. The slice of cheesecake was likely to be her last thing.
As their meal was coming to an end, an announcement came over the intercom, apparently the ship was setting sail finally, and was bound to Alola. An estimated arrival time of 8 o'clock tomorrow night was offered. So they'd pretty much have a full 24 hours to enjoy the entirety of the cruise. Stomach full, the red-head felt she could actually go for a dip in a hot tub, or a sit in a sauna. Both of which .. she was somewhat still unsure about doing.

Luca seemed to mull over the thought, eventually figuring they would likely have stocked the shop with items that the passengers might want in preparation for their destination. With a smile, she returns her gaze to Sylva, nodding in confirmation. "Alright, I think that sounds good. Who knows, they might even have something fun for sale." She drew back the sweets she offered when the redhead took a piece for herself, and before too long, the sliced they had disappeared one by one.
By the time they finished, it seemed everyone involved was quite satisfied. Priscilla leaned back in her chair to let her food settle in her stomach, and Faraam sat leaning against the leg of their table. Izalith was simply splayed out on the floor at his trainer's feet, unable or perhaps unwilling to move after getting quite full. "I know I said I can't eat like this all the time," Luca began, after waiting a moment to gather up the food she'd be taking back to their room. "But if we keep this sort of thing up, it seems like we might very well be able to do that."
The swordswoman chuckled as she rose from her seat, stretching her legs after having been seated for so long. The weight of the food inside her seemed to throw off her balance a little, but after a moment, she was able to adjust, albeit with a slightly slower walk. "Well, the night is young and we've got effectively a day to enjoy the boat before we get to Alola. After we finish with the gift shop, you wanna wander around for a bit? Or maybe try out that hot tub that we've got in our room?"

Following Luca's lead, the red-head compiled some of the food she had left over, fitting it into one doggy bag. Lifting herself from her chair, the red-head held a hand to the table, feeling the weight of all she'd eaten pushing her down... not to mention she wasn't to used to ships. Hopefully she was easily made seasick... that would suck when she had a full stomach. Rolex, who wasn't as full as Izalith was, wandered over to the fellow Ivysaur and offered a push to get him back to his feet, walking beside the fellow grass-type so they wouldn't end up separated.
Sylva's gaze landed on Luca as she moved around the table to join her. "Yea.. I mean, I'm kind of on the fence, but it would be nice to loosen up a bit in a Hot tub." She replied chuckling. Though she'd have to use her undergarments as a suit, unless her measly amount of money could afford a suit from the gift shop, which wasn't likely. Something told her the prices for stuff on this ship was going to be on the higher end. Either way, it didn't hurt to peruse.

The full Ivysaur seemed a little reluctant to get up and move from his spot, but as he saw everyone else getting up to leave, he didn't have too much of a choice. With a slightly sluggish movement, Izalith rose to his feet and turned to follow the trainers. Luca didn't seem to notice her starter's slowness though, and took the lead as the two girls conversed.
"I've never actually been in a hot tub before, so I'm pretty interested in seeing what it feels like." In her mind, Luca simply assumed it was essentially just a fancier way to take a warm bath, perhaps with a bit more of a social aspect since one would normally have company with them. Not thinking about it too much though, the silver-redhead moved back down the halls, leading the group back towards the gift shop they passed on their way in.
An electronic "Ding" went off as they passed through the shop's open doors, signaling their entrance. The manufactured sound faded into silence as Luca came through the entrance to look around. She was actually pretty surprised about the size--There was easily enough room for it to be a real store, if a little on the small side. They sold everything one might expect on a ship; maritime souvenirs, maps and brochures for the various regions and the other cruise offerings throughout the year, as well as medicine for any ocean-related sickness. That wasn't all though, as the gift shop also had a surprising collection of clothes, various candies and snacks, incense, and other items you'd typically find at PokeMarts. Although he grimaced at the sound of Darren's voice, Jin was actually glad to hear the male trainer and forced a lopsided grin on his face to try and show it. "Ya got me there. Can't stop what I don't spot first," he replied, his voice somewhat tense, before turning his attention back to the area around him. As he had figured, more psychic pokemon were starting to show up, attracted by the scent of the smoking incense. At least of all the types possible, the incense attracted one of the ones he'd be the most effective against.
As Jin dealt with a slowpoke that had plodded over to investigate, Sable glanced over at Darren. She noticed that the teen looked bothered and forced out a sheepish chuckle to try and lighten the mood. "Only one?" she asked jokingly before sighing. "Yeah, I could probably use all the hands I could get," she answered a little more seriously this time as she worked at gathering together some of the scattered items. There were certainly plenty of things to collect, enough that it might make one wonder how she fit it all in her bag before it got torched. Balls, stones, technical machine discs, clothing, and more edibles than should probably be carried. Granted, most of them were berries, but fitting six pies in a bag was a feat unlikely to be accomplished a second time.
Sable was working to figure out what was best to put the collected items on to be carried off later when she heard Jin call out to her. "Got another one dealt with," he told her, and sure enough, a downed slowpoke lay nearby. Sable picked up one of the spare pokeballs lying about and chucked it at the unconscious pokemon. It wobbled briefly before clicking shut. "How many more need dealing with?" Sable asked. Jin made a noise of discomfort as he looked around, seeing several more pokemon that were attracted by the scents of both the incense and now the slightly-toasted food. "Uh... Too many." Sable couldn't help but let out a sigh at Jin's not-so-helpful answer.

Sylva followed after Luca listening to the woman as she'd explained having never been in a hot tub. "Neither have I." Sylva replied. "Though I heard they're not quite like a hot bath, you have to get out after so long because the water doesn't cool, well unless you turn the heating part off." She'd never been in nothing more than a hot bath herself, she wasn't really allowed anything more than that. The hotel's she and her family had often stopped at while Sylva was in a pageantry held amenities like this, but... they were located in public places, and even if her mother had let her go, she'd of likely not went because of the distaste she had for her body.
Such thoughts were put behind her when the two girls made it to the shop. The loud but soft ding that sounded as they passed through brought her back to the current time and place. She was instantly caught by the selection of disposable camara's set up for sale on a small shelf. "People still use these?" She pondered. Digital camera's weren't all that expensive anymore, heck she found hers in a pawn shop for cheaper than a few of these brands. Pouting lightly she stepped away, moving over to the swim suits. She found a reasonably priced one-piece and snatched it. The smallest size, looked like it would fit her fine. She'd need it for far more occasions than she thought. Truth be told... she'd never actually worn a swim suit to actually swim in before.

Lucatiel nodded as her companion elaborated a bit on what she did know about hot tubs, despite the two of them evidently sharing their inexperience with them. Well, guess we'll get to find out tonight, the young woman thought, glancing back at her companion as they walked down the halls. "I'll have to keep that in mind. I guess it probably isn't the most accurate thing to say it's like a bath, since you don't usually share a bath with someone else." There was a slight pause, and a chuckle escaped the girl's lips. "Well, unless you're especially intimate at least." Either way, with nothing but showers since she started on her journey, Luca was more than happy to finally have a moment to just sit down and soak in some warm water.
Before long, they reached the gift shop, the vast array of overpriced products a little surprising. She followed her companion over to the set of disposible cameras, chuckling a little at how perplexed she seemed to be at their continued existence. "I think it's safe to assume that not everyone owns a real camera, so these are probably to catch the people that don't think to get one for cruises like this. Or, you know, the people that forget their cameras." Moving on from that, Luca drifted from her companion as they reached the clothing section, the swordswoman glancing through the various travel-themed cloth and the t-shirts with the cruise's logo on it. Her eyes trailed somewhat lazily through the shop's inventory, until she found a peculiar rack near the changing room.
Ignoring the fact that there were enough clothes here to warrant a changing room, the swordswoman drew closer to take a look at the white cloth. It looked like a single, one-piece suit, practically ripped straight off of a cartoon Elvis. The sleeves and the pant legs had openings in the sides that exposed a bit more skin, with the former decorated with leather straps to close the gap. A long belt that wrapped loosely around the waist area, fortunately adjustable rather than being a simple aesthetic piece. Glancing up from the outfit itself, Luca saw the great big "CLEARANCE" sign that hung over the whole section, putting a small grin on her face as she saw the price proving to be quite low. "Hey, take a look at this," she called over to Sylva, motioning for the girl to come over when she grabbed one off the rack.

Sylva couldn't help but grin at Luca's comment. "You ever wanted to share a bath with someone?" She replied. The only time she'd ever shared a bath with anyone was when she was super young, and her mother decided to wash both her and her brother at the same time. After Sylva turned eight things changed, because of how old her brother was getting, he wanted showers like their father. Sylva quickly followed along, having always looked up to her brother.
Sylva pouted some with Luca's answer to her question, which was more or less rhetorical. Still, she realized that Luca was right. Not everyone had their camera wrapped around their neck at all times like her. "I guess you're right." She replied, separating herself from the disposable camera's, she ventured over to the clothing. Luca had already grown deep within the clothing jungle, and found the clearance rack. Sylva came over with Luca's call, finding herself at the swordswoman's side. "Oh, so they even have a clearance." Luca glanced back at her companion's response, unable to stop herself from shooting back with a sly, playful grin. "Sure I have. I enjoy being in another's company." She chuckled a bit before turning forward again. For a brief moment, she caught herself wondering if there were any partners she'd lost in her forgotten memories, before pushing the thought into the back of her mind. The swordswoman hardly spent any time just soaking in a bath in the years she's been around, so it would've been simple enough to account for the partners she'd had during those times. Her thoughts continued to wander though, musing one topic after another without much trouble.
When they arrived at the gift shop, it didn't take long for the girls to get sidetracked. The redhead went straight for the cameras, while Luca followed close behind until they split up to look at clothes. The silver-redhead was browsing more than anything else, but when she came across something amusingly strange, she couldn't help but gravitate towards it. "Seems like it" She commented, looking over the outfit while Sylva looked over everything that was on sale.
With a small chuckle, Luca disappeared for a few moments, slipping into the empty changing room while her companion checked for anything of interest. She removed her heavy, silver coat to slip into the pale fabric... Which, she only realized the color palettes matched when she was already changed, and quickly looked herself over in the mirror. After taking one more second to ensure everything fit comfortably, the swordswoman finally emerged from the small room, clad in the skin-tight suit. "Hey Sylva," she called out, spreading out her arms to show just how much the sleeves hung down from her arms. "How do I look?" A small bit of laughter kept her from saying it with an entirely straight face, but overall, the young woman seemed to take a liking to the outfit.

Sylva was semi-distracted by another rack that was filled with towels labeled with the small shop and ship's names stitched onto them when Luca appeared from the changing room. Of course when Sylva's eyes shifted towards the swordswoman her eyes went directly to the woman's exposed chest... well, not super exposed, but... the amount of fabric covering her chest region... Sylva had to force her eyes upward. "Uh... looks good." She replied shakily. She hadn't expected Luca to be the... exposed type. Though the more she looked the more she found herself returning to a smile. "It does look like it suits you." She added, not intentionally putting in that pun. When her companion struggling to bring her eyes up, Luca couldn't help but follow her gaze, a rather amused grin forming on her lips as it became clear what she was looking at. "Something got your tongue," she teased, rapidly raising her eyebrows in as comical a fashion as she could perform. She couldn't keep it up for long, and chuckled a bit when she brought a hand up to rub the ridge of her brow. "Heh, thanks."
The swords woman stretched her limbs a bit, testing to see how flexible the fabric afforded her to be. Luca's grin widened a bit when she found it surprisingly unrestrictive, allowing her to move around about as well as her coat had. "Well, I'm sure a crazy lady waving around a giant sword is intimidating all on it's own," she joked, trying to see if she could pull the two sides a little closer together. "I think it's supposed to be some kinda performer's outfit, so it's more flashy than anything else. I'd like to wear my regular shirt underneath, but wearing another top under this thing isn't really comfortable."
