Reemus blinked. "What's tag? Is it like FLARP?" Most games he played with his lusus didn't have names he could use with one word in troll language, because Gillian didn't really know easy troll terms for the stuff anyhow. Except maybe 'tug-of-war', which sounded kiiiind of like 'tag'. But what would speed have to do with that?
Either way, he smiled for the first time after the fire-drones attacked, watching the lusus Vos freed run off. He was happy that she was on kind of a roll with releasing lusii. But that made his sight track over to where Zindel was, who just gave Reemus a look before going back to work. Reemus's face scrunched up a little at that, not sure what that redblood's DEAL was. First he threw a fit over personal space, now he was giving Reemus and maybe Voscil as well weird looks. He snorted a little himself before going back to work, but tugged too hard and ended up throwing himself back on the flooding ground. But, used to it by now, he bounced back up. Was it normal for the pain to oddly go away after bruising enough times? Was feeling kind of numb a good thing?Current HP: 30 / 40 HP

Keionx Rutace Odette's HP = 8/20 Thank you Odette <3 Action: Trying to Free Lusii (Number last round: 3) FAILED (Still has her Vial) The glow from Aendal was unsettling and Keionx fingered her Vial as she found herself in a slight respite from the vines, smoke, and misery.
However, as one of the other troll's vials smashed and doused Aendal's glow, Keionx removed her hand.
No. the shopkeeper had said no multiple doses, and Kei was not about to go against their advice. It was their medicine after all...

MamaJu's HP: 20/40 Free! - UnsuccessfulReemus's question about tag made her stop what she was doing. Was that even the right word? She didn't know really. "Usually I play it with MamaJu, you pick some one to chase others, and if they tap them they become who's it. Its a lot of running and chasing! Its fun." Voscil explained quickly with a nod of her head. When she saw Zindel shake his head she puffed up her cheeks a little. "Say, where are you lot from?" Her big silly smile was back on her face. "After everything's over I think we should all have a team get to together maybe." She briefly left Reemus's side, only long enough to prod a finger at the other troll. The outbursts didn't upset her, even if the redblood was making faces. Until he got really grumpy, the small girl tried to keep it light between the distance the three of them shared. "You'd be invited too ya know! Everyone would be too. I'm glad we're able to help one another." Voscil quickly added as if she needed to make sure everyone felt included. She gave Zindel a bit of space as she was back trying to help the yellowblood. Weather any of them were keen on the idea wasn't really the question. Just the same she'd happily bother those who would allow it from her. While she'd found a good rythm for freeing lusii, it wouldn't work like magic. All the effort that went into it simply meant she had to keep herself busy. Having others to talk to kept her in light spirits.

All things good must end, and so the queen's sword gradually extinguished itself. Shrugging, she spat on the corpse she felled the last and turned her head to Aendal again. This time, she called on her lusus with a bit more confidence than before. Hey ma, nuke this looser!HP: 13/20 ATT: +1 GL'BGOLYBS WHISPERS 2/2 BZOOM all trolls around her feel tentacles slithering in their brains! ew ew ew. be glad it doesnt hurt tho.Regina did 4 damage!

Alifax struck again, and was pleased to find that he was actually prepared to hit the guy this time. Take that, jadeblood, he thought as he felt the hard smack of his meteor - and just as the guy's skin was beginning to dim again, too. In his mind, he thought of how when he was a little smaller, he'd chase Woofmum and she'd chase him, back and forth, kind of like this 'tag' thing. Okay. He got it now. "That DOES sound fun!" Though the tapping thing sounded a bit different than what he was used to. For him and his lusus, tackling, nipping, or nuzzling was involved.
"Hanging out again would be great!" And it was hope that they'd get the hell out of this fiery pit and back to their lives, to boot. In the meantime, Reemus was entertained by Voscil getting in Zindel's face again. Though he wouldn't be surprised if the kid decided to flip out again for...who even knows what.
Another lusus ran by, and Reemus made a grab at the vines- and missed. He didn't even realize he could be so distracted by other trolls! Or was he just getting sloppy because he could barely feel his arms anymore?

for trolls who have not posted yet You start this battle with the amount of HP you lost during the CYOA subtracted from your health. Groups that reached Aendal's lair first have rested and do not have a health penalty.
Trolls who have lost their lusii: Your lusus has been turned against you, and is struggling against Aendal’s influence and the plants that are holding it hostage. Before you can take part in the battle, you may attempt to free them. Write a RP post in which your troll frees your lusus; you may decide how difficult it is to free them, and how serious their injuries are. Once you get your lusus back, your HP will be the standard 40 for lusii, minus any health lost during the CYOA (except for groups who have rested). As per usual, lusii will take all attacks and the damage directed at their charge during this battle. 224/700how 2 bossfite | wiggler version: electric boogalooAny questions regarding battle mechanics should be asked in the main meta thread. LUSII UNDER AENDAL'S CONTROL: 74/100Aendal may take additional damage from a combined attack when a certain amount of lusii are freed. (staff will keep track of this number and the damage dealt due to this effect.)Lusii needed for next combined attack: 45 Aendal is mobbed by furious freed lusii, ones with children to protect and ones who's charges are now his puppets, who deal a total of 20 extra damage to him.Aendal slashes through vines in a rage, cutting himself free from his assisted transportation in the cavern. As he bushwhacks through the vines, the drones turn to charcoal and begin to fall. One by one their plant system snaps, a heterogeneous mix of water and oil seeping onto the ground. The water levels rise once again, now filling around the party's feet. The cavern becomes an immense sauna, and before the flames can subside visibility is nearly impossible. The fighting, however, does not cease, as Aendal himself now slashes at foes on the ground. If you rolled a 1, you can't see a damn thing. Unfortunately, Aendal doesn't need vision. You feel his presence behind you too late, and take a direct hit - and the blood pooling - and then a bit lightheaded. You're not sure what happened, but your dizziness impedes your ability this turn. Take 3 damage, and deal no damage this turn. In addition, your accuracy is reduced by 1 - you will now miss on an accuracy roll of 3. If you rolled a 2, Aendal's machete makes contact, and you are forced to flee rather than to blindly swing. Take 2 damage. If you rolled a 3, you suffer some friendly fire -- or was that unfriendly? It's hard to tell under the smokescreen cover, and you feel blow after blow as you try to make your way around in the fog. Take 1 damage. If you rolled a 4, in the confusion, an entire flock of bird lusii fly straight into your face, scratching you up as they attempt to flee the smoke. Take 1 damage. If you rolled a 5, after taking an unseen hit you find higher ground, taking advantage of Aendal's old plant constructs. You're trapped on higher ground, but at least it's higher ground! Take 1 damage. If you rolled a 6, you're in the heart of the battle and in that heart you'll stay (intentional or not). You slash at everything that opposes you, landing hits on the enemy with blind force. You deal double damage for the rest of the round, but your accuracy is reduced by 1 - you will now miss on an accuracy roll of 3. Half hour options:Fight! Teens can choose to attack Aendal once every half hour, as normal. Free! Kids can attempt to free the lusii from Aendal’s influence. Roll 2d4 as normal at the beginning of the round (first die representing the dodge roll, second representing damage). You can roll 1d4 at each half-hour interval. This roll deals no damage. When you roll two of the same number in a row you free a lusus, which attacks Aendal upon being liberated and deals the sum of those two numbers as damage. Note that the first number (representing dodge) in the 2d4 rolled in the beginning of the round does not count towards freeing a lusus. When this occurs, please post in bold the damage that you have dealt, and that you have freed a lusus.Example: Kid A rolls 2d4 at the beginning of the round and gets a 2 and a 3. At the next half-hour opportunity, they roll 1d4 and get a 3. Since they got two 3’s in a row, they deal a total of 6 damage to Aendal and free a lusus from his grasp. THIS ROUND ENDS 3H FROM THIS POST (within a margin of ~20 minutes) ANY POSTS AFTER THAT HAVE DICE ROLLS WILL NOT BE COUNTED!

quite uneventful I think Odette needs a heal... Or something ;__; Keionx RutaceOdette's HP = 6/20 (-2 from Aendal's Machete!!!) Thank you Odette <3 I love you...But I think you need to heal... Action: Trying to Free Lusii (Number last round: 1) FAILURE (Still has her Vial) Fog and smoke were not a good combination and, as she fought to rescue the lusii. Suddenly, in front of her, a gleaming face and blade came into her vision through the haze. The young hero gasped and brought her sword up to parry...

The water level was rising, and that always upset Alifax. Plants were flammable and oxygen could fan flames but water almost universally extinguished them. Steam was hissing out now, and he winced. At least now the jadeblood was descending upon them, and Alifax didn't hesitate to swing his meteors at the guy in response to the machete, which caught him in the arm. Dictys looked away from eir task to see...Mommydaddy again? What were they doing staying abovewater? There was clearly a place where they had an advantage - where they could attack without needing to flail for it. Whatever. Mili had been standing near when the crazed vampire left his perch. Grabbing her daggers, milieu threw caution to the wind and began to engage him and the plants around. She'd keep them safe. No matter what.
Milieu was out for blood.

"Oh, I'm from New Hemisect!" Etsali began cheerfully, brightening at the prospect of group meet-ups. Of course, Aendal chose right about then to kick things up another notch, and the little thief was startled to find she couldn't see a thing through the steam rising up off the water. She stumbled, reaching out to where she'd last seen the others, and then yelped as something brushed past her. Oh nooo, how was she supposed to know what was an ally and what wasn't?
Keeper was facing the same problem, coupled with the distress of being unable to keep an eye on her charge. As she moved through the fog, she took blow after blow.

Eostre HP: 10/20 Eostre does 4 damage.
Aendal finally left his platform, so now Eostre would find it much easier to land blows on him. Even through the fog that now made it hard to see, she knew how to punch, and she would find him and punch him!!!
