She supposed she couldn't fault him for thinking it was a dream . . . Really, though, it felt more like a nightmare waiting to happen. After all, coffee runs? Really? Piper was going to retort as much when Brenley got caught off, and she spun around to see . . . nothing.
"Seriously?!" She thought he had been keeping up. Or did he fall down or something?
"BRENNNNNN JACKDAMN IT."
she was calling several times as she moved ahead, stopping only when she saw someone else. Another familiar someone else.
"OY IGGY YOU LOST TOO? Bren's here, he just keeps getting stupid turned around." Piper kept calling around, glad the darkness could hide her slightly worried frown.

Ignatius was definitely carrying on a conversation with the air. At least, that was probably what it would look like to anyone who looked at him, considering no one could hear the voices that were wasting their breath insulting him. Did disembodied voices have breath? Hm...
"What about saying I light up the night? No? -- Oh!"
Piper was here too? And Bren?! How had she located Brenley?! "PIPER! You're not an illusion voice right?" He waited briefly for confirmation--or not--before continuing anyway, "Bren's here? Where the hell has he been?"
He continued on, assuming she would follow.

He kept his hand on the wall as he'd urged her to, and eventually he heard Piper's voice again, though it wasn't warm or even sarcastic. Bren froze as she chastised him for everything from coming to Amityville to getting kidnapped on purpose for attention. He begged her to stop, but it was only when he lashed out and slammed his hand into the wall that was supposed to be guiding him that her taunts quieted until they were only mocking whispers.
It wasn't really her. He would find her and prove it.Quote: EVENT 2: You hear a voice and it sounds exactly like a close friend of yours. Area 3 -> 7Well this was just going rather splendidly! He felt confident walking through the dark, each step a careful but firm move forward. Then Nergui's hand slipped away from his, and he failed to notice until it was too late. "Noni?" He paused, after having walked into a new corridor without her. All of the confidence in his voice faded. "Noni!?" His hands shook, and he reached out in the darkness, searching desperately. "Where have you gone? Noni, say something, please!" 2/10

Piper clicked her tongue. "Boil, you think someone could copy this?" she asked, feigning offense. Then again, there was Wonderland's shenanigans and what Brenely was currently experiencing, but one she was choosing to ignore and the other was literal ignorance. "But I know, right?? He's here and I-D-K if he's always been or if we, like, just coincidentally bumped together--"
She had to stop as she had turned the corner and nearly ran into a wall.
"Anyway, I didn't ask him nothin' yet 'cause we gotta get out and . . . and you're totally not still there are you . . . Ugh."

Area 10 => Area 12"Your voice is too majestic to be copied," and not mocking, like his mother's voice which was still in his ear. Though he was slightly disappointed he couldn't continue on mocking them back...
Only slightly though.
"Maybe he's been stuck here this whole time? The place is kinda desolate--"
Had he lost her again? He didn't see Piper around anywhere now. Maybe she was just some kind of visual illusion. Then again, how would she know that Brenley was there? Maybe something was playing with his mind in here and making him think that Brenley wasn't totally drugged and taken away in the most dramatic of fashions and it was as easy as walking through some portal or --
"Oh hey, there you are again."
A beat.
"This place is twisty alright..."

Free of Nasty PiperTM, Bren focused on moving forward again. He quickened his pace despite the very real risk of falling flat on his face, and was surprised to hear familiar voices ahead. Not-Nasty Piper, of course, since he clearly believed she was still around and wasn't at all worried about being abandoned, and... Ignatius? Maybe. He couldn't quite tell.

The voices slowly faded, and Jake let out a relieved sigh, as that might have meant he was nearing the exit. In his haste and excitement, he had let go of the wall, and had nearly broke into a spring before he quite literally ended up bowling someone over.

Piper issued a small sigh of relief when sh saw Ignatius's form break the darkness again, though she hoped he hadn't heard. She vaguely wondered if Lock was having a grand ol' time around here; assuming he had the guts. "Real twisty, yeah . . . Yo, Sleuthy, maybe you should put them skills to the test," she told the boil, flashing him a smile. "Thing is, I can't tell if he's gone ahead of got lost behind . . . It's stupid dark in here and the place won't let me light up."
Sigh. How did non-magical people handle their lives again?
"Guess we gotta keep callin'?" Then she perked. Past her dad's haunting words, she swore she heard something faintly like Brenley's voice. "Yo, B-Ren, over here!" Unfortunately, she headed in the wrong direction to look for him.

[ Exit ] Sherry was still inching along, not certain she should trust her senses. Between the voices and the darkness, if her mind wasn't playing tricks, something sure had to be. So was caught off guard when someone ran into her. She knew she wasn't alone in the room. Jake was there, and she'd heard others. So it shouldn't have surprised her, but it did. And she found herself falling over again. The wall and floor was not kind to things like knees and elbows. "Sorry," she said. "Didn't mean to be in your way." At least with the commotion, the whispers seemed a bit quieter.

Yes! There she was again!
The ghoul's voice faded even faster this time, but Brenley kept heading in her direction, pausing as his hands brushed over something strangely rocky. It wasn't that the presence of a rock was odd around here, it was the rock's location... approximately thigh high in mid air. He brushed his hands over it and tried to close his fingers around it, but it vanished.
"Weird."

3 -> 5 -> 3[2/10] In an abrupt motion, Bastion's arm pulled away from him. Lushka frantically tried to find him again to take hold, to clutch onto something familiar, but he couldn't manage to find him in the darkness. A moment later, even his voice entirely faded away. Through his panic, he failed to realize that he had gotten himself turned around in the dark maze, and wound up right where he first separated from them.

Area 12 => Area 13 (Artifact Get!)Ignatius grinned when she complimented his Super Sleuth skills, giving a flourish of a bow despite the bad noises in his head. As much as the voices were trying to beat him down, he was certainly optimistic. "Naturally. I'm thinking this dark isn't natural, considering even my glow seems to be a bit diminished." Ignatius pointed to his golden eyes in an attempt to confirm this.
Was that Brenley they were hearing? Ignatius couldn't really tell over the noise in his head, but Piper seemed to think so. He'd go with that. Maybe he should attempt calling for him too. "BREN! OVER HERE!"
Ignatius was also loud.
He walked off, too, though took a slower pace than Piper and at least stayed close by--or maybe he was thrown off by ramming into something.
"What the Jack--" Ignatius reached to grab whatever it was, but it wasn't there anymore. Huh...
And he lost Piper again. Well. He supposed he could talk to the voices again for a bit. "Do any of you mind telling me what I just ran into? No? Like a mystery do you..."
Wait-- "'ey! Bren! You are here..."
