"Fine I guess we're doing this the hard way then."
Sighing she drew in the air with a finger in a downward motion. The snares power increased, dropping the ghost to the ground.
"I'm really not interested in hearing another no from you so let's drop that word from your vocabulary for the rest of this conversation. Ok?"
Repositioning herself on the stump she crossed her legs and rested her head in her right hand, staring at the ghost boy.
"So what are you scared of exactly? Hmm? You're a ghost? So what? You're obviously here for a reason, and wandering around aimlessly isn't going to help you figure out what that reason is. I'm offering you a place in a clan with people who will try to help you. You're not the strangest thing i've ever seen. Not by far."

She looked him over as he struggled and rolled her eyes. Everyone ALWAYS tried to struggle. It was a fruitless endeavour. Still, when he told her a little more of his past, she decided to be a bit more co-operative with him.
"I've pinned you down because, quite frankly, i'm sick of chasing you all over the place and you absolutely refuse to stay still. As for my name, you're quite right. How rude of me. It's Elena. And yours is?"

She watched as his aura became a little more tinged with red and decided enough was enough.
"Richard is it? Well Richard you seem to have forgotten what I said earlier."
Slamming her hand down on the tree trunk with a loud clap she flattened him against the ground completely.
"I believe I told you to drop no from your vocabulary. You see I asked nicely in the schoolhouse and got nothing but insults for my trouble. So i'm done being nice about this."
Her eyes flashed red in anger with the pathetic creature.
"I'm going to ask you one more time, and i'm going to get a yes. Because if I don't? Well i'm going to wipe you and your pathetic little gear out of existence."
Her power whipped the air around her into a frenzy as she spoke. He had no way of knowing she couldn't destroy his gear, of course. She'd only told him they existed a short while ago. But if he called her bluff she was going to make him experience the agony of being torn apart over and over.

Elena was about ready to make the cocky little ghost extremely sorry for his decision but instead she just sat back down and laughed. She waved her hand and released the pressure on him. Not enough to let Richard leave, but enough that he could sit up without hurting himself.
"You know what, Richard? I like you. You're funny."
She'd never met anyone before that would just stick to their guns and say no to her. Usually they changed their mind very quickly once she "persuaded" them otherwise. The ghost boy had guts, figuratively speaking.
"Fine, what can I do to change your mind then? Oh and just for the record, you insulted me first by saying I wasn't normal. So you're not really one to talk about first impressions. Hehe."

"Go out with me."
Elena smiled at the boy and answered him simply.
"Alright then. And where would we be going? Usually the boy treats the girl but I suspect you have no material possessions, such as money. So you pick and i'll pay."
She snapped her fingers and dropped her snare from Richard entirely. Still sitting on the tree stump, she waited for him to decide on a location.

Elena smiled a little at the boy's obvious embarrassment.
"What? You thought i'd say no? Heh silly boy."
Standing up she walked over and looped her arm under his.
"The beach is it? Lead the way then."
