As a hand suddenly smashed through the window behind him, Jerry gave a terrified yelp, leaping out to practically hide behind Jordan a moment, "I... I r-really don't know how long that's going to hold! uh... MARK? Mark is there any way to make the portal er.... somewhere else?" His stomach was churning. Even if Roar and he were at their best, there was no way they could cut their way through- even if Rep's hands weren't full and with Jordan's hammer... He gave a nervous whimper, which evolved into a quiet, nervous humming tune under his breath.

FLOOR 9The floor began to shake more violently, groaning under the weight of the zombie heard they could hear coming closer. Eden swallowed and stood her ground. What approached the barricade was less of a group, or even a mob, but rather a seething mass of lurching limbs and gaping, hungry mouths. Their sheer numbers made if difficult to focus on any single one as the wave bore down on the human survivors. They made the barricade look like a toy as they tore into it, their numbers swelling through the corridors, destroying walls and support beams, the entire building groaning under their feet. A sound that grew louder, even over the destructive tide of zombies that coursed toward them until the floor buckled, and gave way.The humans and many of the zombies fell through the floor. FLOOR 8And then fell even further. FLOOR 7Finally landing with a painful crash on the seventh floor. It's Raining Men! And zombies! If you are on Floor 7, 8, or 9: roll 1d20 to determine how much damage you have taken. Also be sure to take out any of the zombies that now periodically drop down from above!

Stairs: outside entry floorThe door was shaking, the zombies were trying with increased vigor to get at them through the little window, Jerry had started humming, and a huge and prolonged crashing noise had just come from overhead. None of these occurrences were in any way good signs. "I think we may have to try clearing a path," he said grimly. "If we don't break out of the stairwell, we could easily get trapped in here, and none of us are really well equipped for melee-range combat. Where the ******** is everybody else?" He brought Ferros down and around so that the hammer's barrel was in front of him, and edged down the stairs towards the door, carefully gauging distance. He could probably burst the doors open with a good lunge; that would give them some open space to work with. "Try to stay behind me and Jerry. Don't let anyone from the office grab you," he said to Allen. He shot stapler guy a dirty look. The guy was a pain in the a** conscious or unconscious. If he'd been up and moving, Rep would be free to help with this task, but if the guy were up and moving, there was no guarantee he wouldn't be moving in the wrong direction. "You got him?" Jordan asked Rep.

Floor 9 "I can't go anywhere and just leave you." Cass replied as she pulled the chain she wore apart to summon Nicodemus, settling in on the floor behind the barricade with the gun and taking aim.
However, what ended up coming their way was kind of not what she'd been expecting and Cass almost seemed to grin with excitement. Nicodemus, on the other hand, was a lot less excited about everything than his wielder was. That was what he got about waiting for an excitable child, though.
However, she'd barely been able to very much shooting before -
"s**t!"Floor 8Floor 7"Damn......" she groaned as she sat up, body throbbing uncomfortably from their fall through two floors. Upon standing, Cass immediately began to look around for everybody else.
"Dakota? Candace? Marcus? Edi---..n...?"

Rep squinted at stapler dude, not sure if he'd just opened his eye or had some kind of muscle twitch. He didn't put him down regardless, at least he was lighter than Tracey.
At the resounding crash felt as much as heard through the building, he made a deeply concerned face.
"Yeah, I've got him. At least someone's ******** peaceful in this oncoming shitstorm"

Ryan was probably halfway across the room when the sudden groaning, caused him to pause.
"The hell is that?" It was a sound, now growing to a loud rumbling and crashing, was like none he had ever heard before. It was almost as though a train was about to tear through the ceiling and land on top of them, and with the way the building was shaking and how the sound was growing, it wouldn't have surprised him if one had. However, turns out there was no train. It was just the upper floors coming down on top of them.
"Oh sonuva--" Ryan barely had time to curse before the ceiling gave away and rubble rained down on top of them--along with bodies. Both alive and dead.

GROUND FLOOR STAIRWELL
The sudden crash from above made Jerry's nervous humming take a strangled, frantic edge, his breathing quickening as he kept an eye on the arms thrashing and groping about through the broken window. "Th-there's too many!! There's n-no way we can cut through there j-just the two of us!!"

"You can do it, if Suns can't kill some zombies I don't ******** know who can." He shook his head. "It's no like we have a ******** barrel of alternatives. From the sounds up the stairs either we take the fight to these guys or the fight is coming to us."

Wilson stiffened when he heard groaning from above. "That sounds a bit..." The death hunter's voice trailed off, unsure, before his eyes widened with realization and he shouted, "TAKE COV--" Too late. It was raining bodies and debris. He coughed, swatting away the clouds of dust while he immediately searched for Aria and the others. "Is everyone okay?"
Somewhere among the rubble he spotted a certain Dakota and he stared, deadpan. "Couldn't bear to part from us in the end, huh..." A stony stare before he continued his search for the mist leader.

[stairss] "Whoah!" Allen wobbed as the stairs shook a bit. A crack formed against the wall closest to the door, a thick, inevitable countdown until the wall gave in. For now, they were still technically safe. Technically. "Are they doing renovations upstairs?"
"They shouldnt be," responded a voice that should have been tecnically unconscious. He had somehow wormed himself so that one knee was jutting into Rep's back, and a second later entirely detached from any (literal) manhandling. Thankfully instead of just bolting up the stairs, he leaned over and picked up the first aid kit, sitting down-
-And staring blankly at the contents inside. He eventually picked up what was probably a long roll of bandages, probably, and some neosporin. "Renovations aren't due until the end of the month." He oddly pulled at the tip of his impromptu triage, and then sudddenly covered it up again with a preplexed expression, putting the items back in the first aid kit, untouched. "Unfortunately my fifteen minute break is over, so any attempt I did to leave would add a permanent record of misconduct to my otherwise perfect conduct." He paused. "Also I was just talking with my therapist and he said I should 'consider taking more leadership roles'. I think he's referring to today's notice sent out this morning at ten regarding our company policy. What do you think?"
"Taking leadership roles is important to get promoted," Allen agreed. "Also that e-mail took me forever to read but it all makes sense now. You guys know about it right?"
For a second, they both at the same time turned to look at their rescuer trio.

Zombies were not new. Zombie swarms were not new. Zombies rushing en masse in small spaces into a way that an entire building seemed ready to give way to a mass of flesh and bone and FEAR- That was new. The the floor crashed and caved in, Marcus cursed and Dis told him to brace for impact- this time as non sarcastic as possible. The sudden feeling of being suspended in the air, a loss of gravity was like other times, alarming, but it was also disorienting. He could see the colors of a scarf and a coat here and there, but dust, debris and the like obscured his vision as he fell, the pain not immediately registering until he was no longer suspended, mind moving a mile minute as it tried to make sense of what had just happened. Then the pain settled ******** laughed at the curse of choice, but the hunter really couldn't share the amusement. He was alive, sure, and he could move, yes, but that didn't mean a fall didn't hurt. " 9th floor just caved in- Everyone alright?" Off the headset, he called out to the four previous people he'd been linger by and hoping (biasedly) that they were unharmed. "Cass! Dakota! Candace! Miss- er, Trucks? Carr?" What did you call a lead that didn't know they were a lead? (Answer: Given she still could rip a metal door off its handles Marcus assumed you called them whatever they wanted to be called.) HP: 36

[Stairs outside entry floor]"We don't have a whole damn lot of options," Jordan snapped, his patience starting to fray. He frowned at stapler guy's sudden revival and at his reluctance to look under the bandage. If there was ever an indication that the timer was ticking, that was probably it. He had no idea what the two maybe-leads were talking about with the email, but he had a sneaking suspicion that it had something to do with why they were in this state. At least Rep was free to fight again. That was a plus. "Stay behind us," Jordan repeated to Allen and stapler guy, "and don't let anyone from the office grab you. We're getting out of here." He took a breath, got a firm grip on Ferros's handle, and charged down the stairs with the hammer's head in front of him, aiming to hit the doors squarely in the middle with his weight and momentum behind the charge.

Rep gave stapler guy a very decisive I'm-watching-you squint as he made his way over to the first aid box. "You aren't making efforts to leave, we were forcing you to leave. I doubt it will affect your record."
On the subject of the email though, he raised a brow. "We don't actually."
But there wasn't really time to find out what it had been as it looked like it was time to move. "But stick with us or so ******** help me." He really hated civilians, even when they were not-really-civilians.

[TALLY HOOOO!]"Watchout- here we come! Watchout! Here c-comes the sun!!" Jerry's humming derailed into a wobbly, singing battle cry as he steeled his courage, summoned his cannon onto his shoulder and leaped forward down the stairs behind Jordan. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. It was die in the stairwell, or at least TRY to cut a path for the others. They were SUNS. They could do this.

The wall burst open along with the emergency doors at Jordan's direct approach-
But the halls, lobby, even the windows that had been teeming with undead were notably, very, very empty and abandoned. It was almost chillingly silent.
