 Fredrich Waltz...................Cameron West...................Hayden Belmont"Danger never looked so good."Hayden hesitated when Peter got between him and the cop. He wanted to yell at him for stopping him, but stopped himself and decided to see what his reason could be. " Look, Hayden, Fredrich, I just wanted to apologize." Cameron frowned apologetically at the two. " Tch, you think a simple sorry can change everything?" Hayden demanded. " We promised to keep it a secret, dammit!" " Hayden." Fredrich said, gaining the half-breed's reluctant attention. The detective didn't look at him, but stayed focused on Cameron. He waited patiently for Daniel to leave before walking up to the cop. Cameron raised his eyebrows at him curiously, then- BAM!That dark glare still in his eyes, Fredrich punched Cameron straight in the face. The officer staggered back and gripped his broken nose, blinking several times at the taller male. " There." Fredrich muttered. He pulled his arm back and shook the heat off of his knuckles. " Now we're okay." Meanwhile, Julian was sitting on the couch, glaring at the candy cane in his hands. Leave it to his stupid parents to ruin everything. At least he was able to know a little bit more about that weird boy. That dull look in his eyes, it was... What did that officer guy say? The eyes of a killer. Those weren't necessarily that guy's eyes, but it wasn't innocent, either... Julian narrowed his eyes and twiddled the candy around as his thoughts piled over one another.

Peter walked past the officer, not even flinching at the punch. His hand reached out to take Hayden's. "I think we need to talk," he said, eyes on the half-breed's as he spoke. "Right now."
"You haven't eaten it yet," said a slightly younger voice in front of Julian. The boy it belonged to stood still, several feet from him, his eyes bored as usual, ignoring the sounds of Liam trying to take the wine from Ellery and failing. "Eat it. You're boring. Eat the candy."

Fredrich Waltz...................Cameron West...................Hayden Belmont"Danger never looked so good."Hayden couldn't resist chuckling at the punch, but his attention instantly went to Peter when he took his hand. He furrowed his eyebrows, bracing himself for the absolute worst, and silently followed after him to an isolated spot in the condo. Hearing the voice, Julian snapped his head up to look at the boy. Those eyes again. They didn't look empty like his, but... condescending now... He blinked at him several times before gritting his teeth and growling at him. " I'm not boring, I just hate everything." he corrected angrily. " Like you. I hate you and your dumb candy, so stop calling me boring!" he snapped and waved the candy cane around at him but didn't dare loosen his grip on it.

Peter didn't look at Hayden, staring at the ground. "Why didn't you just tell me?" he asked. "Didn't you think I deserved to know a least a little that we were coming to your ex's?" Peter looked up, steel eyes filled with hurt. "I mean, couldn't you give me that? I'm not a good person, but I have the decency to tell the person I'm with if my ex-lover looks like a German supermodel!" His voice heightened in pitch just a tad at this last bit, tears rising once again. "I know that it's over between you two, but I can't be blamed for feeling like I'm second-best."
"Then stop being boring," was his irritatingly calm reply, eyes never once changing. "Why are you so angry? You've got rich parents now, who love you and want to take care of you. They're both serial killers, so it's not like you won't be able to act on your murderous urges. Sure you're an orphan, but you get the chance to have a family as much like you as possible. I used to hate everything too. I used to be boring. But now, I'm kinda happy. Daddy's an assassin, Mama's nice and warm, and nobody wants to hurt me anymore. It's good like this. Don't be boring, Juli." He smiled just a little before the bored look returned. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a Kiss. "Here, eat this. If the peppermint doesn't help, I mean." He set down the candy beside Julian before going to find his father. "Daddy! Mama's biting Uncle Liam!"

Fredrich Waltz...................Cameron West...................Hayden Belmont"Danger never looked so good."" I didn't tell you because it would have ended this way." Hayden explained. " No matter who I've told, anyone that's met Fredrich has felt some ounce of intimidation, especially after hearing that we used to have a thing." His expression softened when he heard Peter's hurt tone and walked over to him, putting his arms around him in a tight embrace. " ...I'm sorry." he murmured, burying his face into the smaller man's shoulders. " I should've told you anyway. I know you feel intimidated, but Fredrich's just a friend. You're the only one I want." he whispered. Julian hesitated when he heard the boy. ...What did he know? He didn't know a single thing about him, so how could he give him any advice? Julian pursed his lips and looked away. He never wanted a family in the first place. They didn't like him and he didn't like them. But all those other kids. They wanted parents, and he wanted them to like him. As far as he knew, he did the right thing. Blinking out of his trance, Julian noticed the new piece of candy on the armrest. What was this? He'd never seen this before. Curious, he picked it up and slowly unraveled it, gazing at the drop of brown resting on his hand. It was so... small. He popped it into his mouth and gave it an experimental bite, and soon his eyes widened with how strong and delicious the taste was. He wanted more, but... he wouldn't dare ask that jerk for more! Maybe he could find some stash of his...? Biting his lip, Julian got off the couch and looked around for Daniel. " Ellery! Let go of Liam!" Fredrich demanded, his arms hooked around the songwriter's arms so that he could try to pull him off. Cameron was behind Liam, holding his waist and trying to pull him back, too. The two looked like they were in a tug-o-war.

Peter leaned into the man's embrace despite himself, trying to fight back all those doubts and fears that he had inside of him. "That's a lie, but I'll forgive you," he replied with his own whisper, closing his eyes and breathing softly. He knew, deep inside, that Hayden wouldn't always want just him. He'd become attracted to another man and leave him, even if just for a minute. Peter knew it in his heart. But for now, for this moment, he was going to let it go and let himself be happy. "I hope you realize that I'll have to punish you for this," he murmured with a tiny, almost non-existent smile.
Daniel, having left his father to take care of his mother, was sitting by the tree, eating the candy from his stocking. He tossed into Cameron's stocking the candies he didn't like, sorting out the Hershey Kisses and Reese's Cups for himself. "I'm so bored," he murmured to himself, examining a green Cup. "I wonder if Daddy would get upset if I ordered a movie on the T.V.?"
Ellery's jaw immediately loosened, releasing its captive and yanking them both backwards towards their holders. "Ow!" growled Ellery as his head slammed against Fredrich's hard chest, the rest of his glass of wine spilling onto his shirt. Thankfully, there wasn't enough left to spill over onto Fredrich too, but Ellery was still stained. "What the hell? What was that for?! It's not like I was hurting him!"
"He's right, you two. Everything was under control." Liam stood up and brushed off his front. "He threatened to bite me if I took away his wine, and when I told him that he couldn't hurt me like that anyway, he wanted to see if I was right and now look at where we are. But we appreciate your chivalry."
"Pfft, speak for yourself," said Ellery, standing and drinking more wine from the glass on the counter that had remained untouched. "Honestly, there's been too much drama for one holiday. Liam, can you help me clean myself up in the bathroom?"
Liam looked from Cameron to Fredrich to Ellery, then back to Cameron. "Actually, I think I should clean Julian up before dessert. Fredrich, why don't you help him while I care for the children?"

Fredrich Waltz...................Cameron West...................Hayden Belmont"Danger never looked so good."Hayden smiled lightly to himself when he heard Peter reluctantly forgive him. He rubbed the artist's back and enjoyed the moment before hearing his next comment. " Oh yeah? And what's that?" he asked and glanced down at him. Meanwhile, Julian hid behind a hedge not too far away from the tree. He peered through the branches and watched Daniel sort out the candy. Oh! There really was more of that sweet chocolate stuff! And what were those orange wrapped things? He tried to inch a little closer without getting caught. " Mmm-hmm. That doesn't make it right to bite people, Ellery." Fredrich scolded. Looking to Liam, he nodded then heaved the possibly drunken songwriter over his shoulder and began walking towards the bathroom. " Is your bite okay?" Cameron asked while walking up to the doctor.

Peter merely shook his head and leaned back in Hayden's arms. "You'll see. I've got to keep you interested somehow, eh?" With a somewhat evil smile, the teen slipped out of his teacher's embrace and started back to the kitchen, taking a plate and cutting himself a piece of pie.
"Gross, I hate white chocolate," grumbled Daniel as he tossed the Kiss over his shoulder and into Julian's general direction.
"Dangsin-i byeong sin, dangsin-eul silh-eo! Dangsin i teuleog e chiyeo jugge huimang!" cried Ellery as he was taken away. He beat Fredrich's back with his small fists, not hard enough to cause damage, but enough for Fredrich to know he was being hit.
"Huh? Oh yeah, it's fine. He really didn't bite me that hard," said Liam, examining the already-healed bite. He looked up and nodded in the direction of the songwriter and his detective who were already out of sight. "So, who do you think is going to confess love first?"

Fredrich Waltz...................Cameron West...................Hayden Belmont"Danger never looked so good."Blinking at Peter's retreat, Hayden chuckled and ran a hand through his golden-brown hair before following after him. " Slice me some, too." he said while setting his hands on Peter's hips from behind. " Oww!" Julian whined when the candy bounced off his head. Eyes widening, he quickly covered his mouth and peered out at Daniel again. Nngh, that hurt! Did he know he was here? Slowly moving his hands away, Julian peeped down at the item that had hit him. Oh! Brightening up for a second, he plucked the candy from the ground and eagerly unwrapped it. He blinked again at the different color. White. Did that mean it tasted different? Hesitant but plenty willing, Julian ate it anyway. And he loved it. He loved it way more than the other one! What was this?! " Yes, yes, I'm an a-shole." Fredrich rolled his eyes as he carried Ellery into the bathroom. He had done his job long enough to know the curse words in every language, and he had the intelligence to piece together how it was being used. The detective set Ellery on top of the sink after closing the door and turned the faucet on. He pulled off a piece of cloth from his bathroom's cabinet and began running it under the water. " Take your shirt off." he ordered as he soaked the cloth. " I've got my money on Ellery. He's already got that puppy dog look." Cameron beamed before looking back at Liam. " What about you?"

"Ask me nicely," he replied coolly, wriggling out of Hayden's grip as he neatly cut into the dessert.
Daniel's ears perked at the noise, several months of living with Niji having trained him well enough to know when he was being watched. With a small smile, he tossed more candy behind him in the same direction, some Reese's Cups, mostly Kisses, but all chocolate.
The songwriter swung his feet a bit, swaying from side to side dangerously. "Ah ah ah, I'm not that easy. T-take me out to dinner firsht! Oh wait... We just had dinner." He erupted into giggles, then nodded and slipped his shirt off. His soft skin, marred only by the large scar in the middle of his chest, was slightly sticky from the wine. Ellery lifted a hand to his chest, touching the wine-drenched scar. "Huh. Almosht forgot that wash there. Weird. You've got a bunch of these too, right Fredrich?" Large and trusting green eyes looked up at Fredrich, questioning him.
The doctor shook his head. "I'm thinking Freddy. Ellery's a sweetheart, but he's too shy to say a thing. He'd bring it to his grave if he had to. Well, unless- No. Wait... Never mind."

Fredrich Waltz...................Cameron West...................Hayden Belmont"Danger never looked so good."But Hayden was persistent and wrapped his arms around Peter's waist, pulling him back to the spot he was just in. " Slice me one, please." he requested politely while nuzzling the artist's side. Julian frowned when he saw more candy coming his way, and was able to dodge it. Whenever he had the chance, he would inch towards the nearest candy, unwrap it, and eat it. So far he learned that the candies he liked best were either the large, orange-wrapped ones, or the small chocolate drops with nuts in them. But why would that boy throw so much candy away? Fredrich kept a stoic face on as he pressed the cloth to Ellery's chest and cleaned the wounds. Something shined in his dark blue eyes when his gloved hands passed by the scar, though. The memory of seeing Liam cut open weak, feeble Ellery still filled him with anger. It wasn't an anger against the doctor (anymore) but one directed at himself, and how he could have saved Ellery sooner had he just let him sleep with him that night. He was just drying off the songwriter's body when he heard his question, answering him with a faint nod. " Yes, a few." he replied curtly. " I don't know. Fredrich's pretty stubborn, and sometimes ridiculously oblivious." Cameron glanced at Liam and smirked at him. " Wanna place a bet on it?"

"Oh, stop!" giggled Peter, trying to wriggle away once again before setting a piece of cherry pie onto the plate. "Fine. What kind do you want?"
He only giggled and tossed a few more, saving for himself the cherry chocolate Kisses. Those were his favorite, of course. He wouldn't let himself remember why.
"Lemme see," he said quietly, fingers reaching out to grip the front of Fredrich's shirt. "I wanna see."
"What kind of bet?" asked Liam as he started towards the kids, leaning down to lift up Daniel. "Get Julian while you tell me. We have to clean them both up for dessert."

Hayden answered distantly, too preoccupied with making Peter laugh more by adorning his neck with kisses. Fredrich barely acknowledged Ellery's words, thinking of him as a child since he was intoxicated. " No. Hold still." he said and moved the songwriter's hands away from his shirt as he tried to get a fresh one on him. " Fifty bucks says Ellery admits first." Cameron said while walking outside. He glanced over to where Daniel was and watched him toss candy towards the hedge, where a hand would poke out occasionally to grab the candy. " What's this now?" he mused to himself as a knowing smile crept upon his face. " Julian! C'mon, let's get you some cake!" he called out and started walking to the hedge. Julian was munching on a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup when he heard that irritable voice. He glared up and gasped when he saw Cameron walking in his direction. How did he find him so easily?! Panicked by the thought of Daniel seeing him, Julian quickly got up and scurried off to the other side of the garden, an area meant for other families of the complex to use, but there were no others outside at the moment. Cameron blinked when he saw the boy dart off and sighed. " Hey! Come back here!" he shouted and chased after him.

The young man tried to hold back giggles, slicing another piece of cherry pie shakily. "Stop, before I accidentally get cut!" he laughed, trying to wriggle out again.
"Jerk," he grumbled, still swaying dangerously. "Taking my wine, and now my pride. So mean!"
Liam cocked a hip, holding up Daniel. "That kid, I swear- Daniel, what are you doing?" He blinked as the boy jumped out of his arms and went back to his candy, grabbing a bunch and throwing a single piece at Julian's head.

Hayden sniggered, enjoying the sight of Peter so laughable. " Aww, you're so cute when you laugh!" he cooed and started tickling the artist's sides. There were practically tiny hearts floating above the two. " Shirt. You mean to say I took your shirt." Fredrich corrected as he finished buttoning the last of Ellery's buttons. He examined his work then watched the smaller male sway back and forth. " ...You can't seriously be this drunk." he murmured, almost impressed by the little intake of alcohol. Julian was in the midst of avoiding Cameron's grabs when a Kiss bounced off his head. " Oww!" he cried out and stopped suddenly, catching the officer off guard and making him trip over himself. Julian rubbed his forehead then looked at the candy, then finally at Daniel. Pain melting from sniffles to anger, he pointed over at the other boy. " Why'd you do that?!" he yelled out, a small lump growing on his head.
