Another word. Or was it a name? It sounded like a name. The name had no meaning to him, however. With a shrug, he just counted his things. Yes. He had five now. He wanted more, but the Goddesses only wanted five. He left to go turn these in.

The capturing seemed to come a little bit easier now, but whether her own skills of acquiring the crystals had grown in her time spent chasing them down, or whether she was just finding ones that moved slower then the rest she did not know. All she did really feel was that it was getting her somewhere, even if she didn't know quite where.
Her hand fell upon another, slapping it down and pinning it to the floor before fingers curled around it. There was a metallic scent, a flash of excitement, but along with the rest of her flashes of memories, it too faded, unimportant.

The others were occupied chasing down fragments similar to the ones Kin was hunting. He was unsure of how he felt about that, were they stealing the easy ones or was he on the right track since the others seemed to be spurred to do the same as him.
While he was trying to make sense of his thoughts Kin noticed a fragment flitting a bit slower off to his right side and he immediately dove for it. This time he was successful again and he could feel his newly forming mouth turn into a smile, he also began to smell the tart acidity of the rain coming down on them.
The fragment made him feel as though he was flying through the air.

It was somehow completely unfair that all of the twinkling lights were so far above her reach. They beckoned her with their mystery, and there was nothing she could do about it.

She had not yet even risen up from her knees when her hand slapped down on yet another, her fingers brushing against it, sending it skittering off through a crumbling hole in one of the walls that led to the outside, where the sound of rain pour was stronger. She shoved herself to her feet and walked to that edge, staring out at the drizzling rain, tempted to hold her hand out into it.
She was tempted, and so she did so, but quickly pulled her hand back inside with a small hiss. It had hurt. Pain. Pain was bad, wasn't it?
She backed away from that opening to the outside.

Kin began the feel lungs rise and fall in his chest as his figure began taking form, he tested out the newly formed jaw and it curled into another grin as he saw another fragment flittering by. After the feeling of flying he jumped for it but came crashing back down.
Again he began gravitating towards the other pulsating yellow hearts he had seen in the distance.

Kin saw fragments far from his reach as he wandered towards the other hearts but knew there was no chance for them due to their distance from him.

He neared the Goddess as she appeared, curious as his thoughts once more became to loud to ignore. As his steps bring him closer a darkness closes around him, swallowing him whole and blacking him from all, but unlike when he first awoke, there was no loneliness...just safety.
Why?
Then the safety was ripped from him, from the warmth and love he had previously felt a scream of his own echoed out and slammed back into him, leaving him terrified. Ranips reeled for a moment, feeling small, helpless and s-..scared.
His birth....
As the Goddess's wings fold over him, he shivered violently in her embrace. As she spoke his head inclined towards her face, a look of misery upon it. Why was he never meant to hold i-...before he could question a slow sweet feeling washed over him and then emptiness replaced hurt. As the Goddess parts from him, he once more feels safe, protected and right....though still like he had forgotten something..
Again the rain was beginning to burn as Kin put on a bit more speed, still too far away from any fragments to chance a capture.

As she turned away from the crumbling opening and made her way back inside, treading around fallen rubble and debris, brushing against broken cables, it was at that moment that a crystal, perhaps moving away from another who sought to capture it, spun in front of her. A hand shot out, and it smacked against her palm before she wrapped fingers around it.
Another smile that might not have even been, but one that quickly faded.
Flight. The wind gusting through her hair, whispering in her ears. The only whispers she had ever wanted in her life.....
This latest memory faded like all of the others had, and she realized somewhat belatedly that she had stopped walking.
But she had five now. Five crystal fragments, which would be an appropriate offering towards the goddess, she felt, and maybe at that point more questions could be answered, and new ones could arise.

Needing a break from the rain Kin dove under the cover of rubble again where he heard something, glancing to his side he reached out without thought and snatched up the fragment piece. It emitted a long howl and he felt where ears and a tail would be on his body but was instantly interested in finding more, as well as others like him.
The fragment had helped with the acidic pain and he headed toward the crowd once more.

Of course the fifth orb was just out of reach. Still, she was so close to being done, she couldn't just stop now!

Kin was prowling now for more as he saw another fragment before him, feeling stronger he took chase. This time he could feel his lungs lending him strength in the lengthy pursuit. Completely ignoring that around him he just ran.
Finally he leapt and snagged the elusive fragment and ground to a halt. 'Amador' is what he heard from the fragment and he looked around to gain his bearings. Before him was the temple he had started at. 5 pieces. He moved forward to present his findings to the goddess that had chosen him.

But the next grab was a good one! Remye lit up as she picked up this orb, both with elation at having finished her task for the Goddess and at, well... The memory. It was a happy one. Tinged with sadness, and altogether too blurry to recall more than just the feelings, but it was better than the bitter anger from before.
With her five orbs in hand, Remye headed past the ruins to the Shrine, to speak with her Goddess and receive her blessing.

Ryjer found a bit of peace as he chased the fragments like butterflies. This was much more pleasant than worrying.
