Dashner stood up too. He was no relationship genious, as past experiences proved, but he knew how to give good advice when needed. He nodded, and put his hands in his pockets.
"Yeah, bro. And I wish you luck. It isn't as hard as it may seem, though."
With that, he saluted his dormmate in departure, before walking back over to Merabells table for he remainder of lunch.

"No, look.. You have to take this number," Meme said, tapping the eraser end of her pencil against Ascreama's note book, "And then divide it by this number to get a fraction." The blob ghoul sat next to Meme nodded along, making approving noises then was silent for a moment.
"I don't get it!"She pounded a chubby pink fist upon the dining table, making the cutlery of the surrounding monsters' meals clang upon the table.
"I'm sorry but I don't know how to explain it anymore without just giving you the answe-" Meme began, but was interrupted by a splatter of sauce across her white face as her friend began to slurp up some spooghetti.
"I'm sorry, I'm just too thick! All these numbers and farctions and algebums are too confusing. I'm just scraping by in class but I don't think they'll buy the 'I accidentally ate my homework' excuse much longer!" she mumbled through her dinner
"It's okay, don't get frustrated darling, we'll try again tomorrow." Meme began to put the books away when moanbile phones across the cafeteria chimed and buzzed simultaneously.
"Oohh!" Ascreama cooed in delight, and pulled out her phone to see if she too had received a message like the others around the room. "I hope it's not some stupid rattling-chain mail!"
"Maybe it's Ronan asking girls to the dance?" Meme teased and a smirk, and she received a slap upon the arm.
"Shhhh! He might here you!" The blob ghoul let out a gasp and whispered, despite seeing the selkie sitting on the other side of the room

Ronan searched in vain for Doriana, and eventually gave up and retreated to the library to finish studying. He had no doubt Atomica would do more than simply threaten him if he didn't know what he was doing in Mad Science that afternoon, so he devoted his time to the pressing matter of deciphering her notes.

Glen looked up with a bright smile as he slurped mightily through the straw attached to two cans of Red Ghoul, attached to the graveball cap atop his scalp. Bad timing, perhaps, as he tried to drink and greet Kai at the same time, resulting in...!"GRK! *gasps!* GACK!"...Inhaling his straw partially down his esophagus! Glen made noises that was making some kids cringe, and others turn away from their lunch when Draconia thought fast enough to grab her little bluddy around the waist and perform the heim-ick maneuver on him!
She thrust once ... twice ... and finally the third time was indeed the charm as Glen coughed out the straw! Draconia carefully set him back down and patted him on the shoulder."Oh Glen! You tried talking and drinking Red Ghoul before and it never ends well! Are you alright?"Glen coughed and nodded."Yeah, I'm okay Drakie! Thanks for the assist! You saved my unlife!" He said in a surprising baritone voice. " I owe you one! Whew! Now that's a real wake up call!"Glen frowned and then cleared his throat, then spoke again in his regular, high pitched sorta squeaky voice."Wow! That's better!" He smiled at Kai. "What can I do ya for?"

"Well..." Kai returned from the few steps he had taken away from Glen and Draconia during the Heimlick. "I was wondering - providing you didn't, like, backwash the heck out of one of those Red Ghouls - if I could call in a favor and get one of those for Nero? He's super exhausted today and if he falls asleep during Mad Science or Dead Languages, he'll get deadtention for sure. And we're all set up to fang out this afternoon at the Arrght-House."
Kai glanced over at Nero, who was now propped up with most of the books from Layla's backpack.
"It's urgent, man!'

Marceline was busily making up a lab assignment in Advanced Mad Science during her lurch period, regrettably missing what was going on without her. Roswell Grey Melody sat down at the table she shared with Roswell and removed her glasses so she could rub her eyes, goodness, she needed more sleep.
But with school and keeping up with the ballad she had planned to show Roswell, sleep was a demanding task in terms of relaxation.
"Goodness," she sighed, "when will this school work cease so it may not destroy my sleeping habits?" she placed her chin on her propped up hand, waiting for Roswell so at least some of his energy would rub off onto her.

"Well gee, I dunno." Glen pulled off his lop-sided cap and set it on the lurch table. He then reached into his backpack and pulled out the one remaining can of Red Ghoul that he had brought to school from the previously mentioned six-pack. "I only have this one left and those two in my cap got wasted and..."Glen looked past Kai to spot Layla now attempting to use tape to keep Nero's eyes open."Wow! He's really zonked out, isn't he? Well..." Glen looked at the lone can in his hand and then offered it over to Kai. "Sure! Anything for a bluddy. But... you sure one will be enough? It's the new XXXTreme RG."

"Sure, that sounds perfect." Kai made a note to check and see if he happened to have an eyedropper in his book bag. The goal was to wake Nero up, not have him vibrate into another dimension. "Boy, that's great! I really owe you one, Glen. Anytime you need anything, all you have to do is ask!"

Vanissha pouted when Cleo made her announcement. Being on the Fearleading team had it's perks and it was great fun to be with friends with the same interest.
"Awe I really want to go to that creepover!" She whined.
The whine had made Clawdeen's ears twitched and she gave her some advice."Hey, ghoul, don't fright out too much, none of the Fearleaders are going if Cleo gets her way!"
"But it's going to be the beast creepover of my unlife and--"
"Awwwe... That just too bad.... because we're going and everybody's going to be there...." Torilie with Perrsephone and Meowlody on her clawed heels. snickered behind her. "Everybody except you that is!" The were-cats cracked in laughter as they walked away.
"Don't listen to her, ghoul, you might be invisible but she's transparent. She's just trying to get you kicked off the fearleading squad. C'mon we gotta go to practice."
Vanissha had toned out Clawdeen's better judgment and suddenly became more determeind to go to that creepover.
"I'm so going to be there!"

Nero staggered upwards at the mention of the fearleading squad, his senses temporarily returning.
"Fearleading practice is no good if I can't force my eyelids open long enough to watch," he moaned.
He tried to prop himself up on the table but his arms still felt like rubber. They buckled under him and he fell to the floor.
"It's useless, nothing will help. I'll just stay down here the rest of the day. You can put me on Glen's skateboard at the end of the day and wheel me to the Arrght-House."

Jewels felt her Icoffin buzz and peered at the message, stifling a sudden squeak of excitement. "Creepover! Shinyyyy"
How exciting, she'd never been to a proper creepover. She wondered if they were anything like the trashy teen movies and books she read portrayed.

On one of her adventures through town, Sally had found many different things she thought she might need, mainly a wallet and an iCoffin. Of course, she carried both at all times. And when Dashner had introduced her to his friends, it filled with numbers quickly. The iCoffin buzzed with a message, and at the same time Jewels' did. She read the message and tilted her head. Sally looked up at Jewels, "Creepover?" she wondered. Another strange thing she had no experience with, but she was still curious about.

Jewels gushed excitedly, clearly very pleased to have been invited to such a hallowed event.
"You invited as well?" She peered over at Sally's phone. "That's so hexiting! Ohmy ghoul you must come, we can play truth or scare and give eachother makeovers and and... " she babbled on for a bit about all the things she'd only ever read about, bouncing a little in her seat. "I wonder who else is invited?" of course she barely knew the host but did that matter? she was invited to a social event! She quickly hexted back.
Would love to come, thank you sooooo much smile smile smile
