HELL'S BELLS
Astra decided that she would have a go at the hells bells game, if only to see just how strong she was. She might be even stronger then last time!
Though as soon as the mallet hit the button, and the bell only went up a little, she looked rather crestfallen. The gnome was then making comments about 'performance issues' though she wasn't entirely sure what he meant.

Well, Mia was trying. It was obvious she was. Sadly, Molan didn't apparently know how to let someone win. Perhaps it was that ego again, but... he wasn't about to give up easily.

DUCK POND
A duck pond, hunh?
Such a little thing would be very . . . unlikely at home, considering that a) ducks were not that likely to live where he was from, and 2) ponds evaporated pretty fast at home. Maybe some kind of lava pit or the rare hot spring, sure.
With this little game, he went to dip his hand in the forage of little bitey ducks, going to pull one out, going to check the ribbon on it's legs. Who would have thought it was a winner. What a little stroke of luck!
Won two tickets!

And so, Julian had returned to his little avian brethren!
It wasn't exactly like they were all that thrilled to see him. But so far it seemed that they weren't unhappy to see him back. They just didn't seem to care either way.

BALLOON POP
Since she didn't want to stay and be insulted by the stupid gnome, Astra moved towards the overly enthusiastic one once more, being careful not to jab herself with the darts like las time. She went back to expert level because, she felt like a expert with this game.
Although when she threw the darts, she only got one balloon.
Not cool.

She probably would have gotten mad if Molan had just let her have an easy win. Winning by default didn't count!
It didn't mean she still wasn't going to try, even if Molan did have better luck and aim and hair.

His first duck had been another one-ticket ribbon. So he set his little friend aside and tried to see what else he might find.
Another one-ticket duck, but both of them were at least pleasant to him. He gave each an affectionate little pat before setting them back in their pond.

RING TOSS
It was just plain dumb determination that brought Julian back over to the Ring Toss. And it'd be the same for the Balloon Pop game, too. He was rubbish at throwing things, he should know that by now. Would he learn? Probably someday.
But obviously not today.
No, definitely not today. And probably not tomorrow, either. Managing to get three on the bottles was just enough to bolster his spirits on the matter.

With a heavy sigh, Maple found herself at the duck pond. It had been the first place that she and AJ had gone to when they found the game booths, so she figured maybe starting at the beginning might be an aid to find him.
The cute little ducks were swimming as they always did, she reached out and plucked one with a green ribbon out. And apparently one a ticket.

Keeping with the INTERMEDIATE level with the balloon pop game was probably a foolish mistake, but hey, it was a carnival and he wasn't losing anything by being a little ambitious. In fact, he was probably gaining something! Julian wasn't the ambitious type, after all. This could help with his confidence.
And perhaps his throwing skills.
