"Dakota, please don't--" He did it anyway. Candace sighed and shook her head as she ventured over to the shadow-covered sickle rune. "What's the point in warning you not to kill yourself.."She leaned in close to get a good look at the rune, tilting her head to one side and reaching out to trace it with her fingers.

Words were going in and out with her heartbeat, first too loud, then too soft; she could practically feel her headset slowly inching out because of it. Or maybe that was the sweat. Or maybe that was the shakes her body was suddenly experiencing. Stormy said nothing when Gale approached and knelt beside her and continued to look down at her hands even as Jake added his words. They were falling upon ears that were going in and out, in and out.
And just as she was striking up the nerve to look at them, to open her mouth and agree to not move, to say it wasn't okay that she was scared, that it was wrong and weak and got people like her killed--she found herself again staring at the sun.
Is this real?
She was shoved by Jake and gave no protest yet again, her eyes following his movements with a distant look; Stormy at least kept herself from falling into Gale, her hands white-knuckled against each other.
". . . You should probably make sure he's okay." That was a thin attempt to get Gale to leave. Jake was fine at watching himself, but there had been blood--
The trainee shut her eyes and sucked her lips in, sealing herself in every manner.
But not before she saw someone touch the shadow; a memory clicked for the span of a heartbeat--
"Get away from there!" Stormy suddenly shrieked at Candace, stumbling forward with panicked eyes and a pale face.

Lucky was falling.
Lucky was blasted in the face again by sand. Lucky stared straight ahead for a minute, then unzipped his jacket, marched over to the next pedestal after the sickle and the flower runes and threw the jacket over the top of it, covering the rune.
After all, it wasn't like they were going anywhere else in a hurry.

-tick-.
Lifen was took a breath again, as if assuming it would be her last one as the time turned back again, an ungodly feeling of hatred and endlessness filling her as she returned to where she had started, close to Shikobu, a little far from Mengyao, but her hand was still warm from the tight grip he had left before this turned back again.
Gripping her hand a little, the one that had been held, she gave him a little look once again, one that meant they would talk after, for she had words for him, and this silence between them was starting to get to her, giving a loud sigh and starting forward, deciding to check out the rune with the large sickled shadow on it.
She needed a different visual on all this.
Even if it was covered in hunters now.
"Do you think that will work?" She murmured (a little begrudgingly) at the two who decided to throw something over the rune, keeping a look out for anything suspicious.
"It looks like one of them oranges with the real dark centers," Tuck mused in regards to the sun, "and they're real tasty."

Ofelia happened to hear a comment about oranges while she was wandering around and wondering what to do. "Really? Dunno if Ah've ever had one like that. Where'd ya get 'em?" Food talk was welcome talk.

He would have said something more to Jake, but considering Jake was running in the wrong direction, there seemed to be little to do about that.
Gale's hands had shot out automatically to stop Stormy from falling, and now he held her shoulders tightly his eyes scanning the hunters that were around, their situation that was all too familiar once more.
He pressed his lips together and looked back at Stormy.
"No," he said. "No, I'm not leaving you. Jake can handle himself."
And with that he grabbed her, flipped her onto his back and carried her piggyback style, running across the sand towards Candace, towards where Stormy had been screaming only a moment before because Candace of all people was one of Gale's tiny little family.
Another tick, another time skip. Was this going to keep happening?
He watched Lucky, wondering what he intended with the jackets, before with a shrug, he wandered over to where the shadow met the sickle, summoned Tracey and held him over it, blocking out the light from the rune next to it.
"Them fancy grocery stores, the ones where they sell all them international foods."
He turned towards the stripping hunter.
"Y'oughta just tie Mark up or something."

Tick. What the hell.
Shik snorted like an enraged bull, which was funny because he was so done with bullshit. Trimping right back up to the damn center of machines once more, he grabbed Kat's arm and happily dragged her along for the ride. He was not done with you yet, kitten.
But he was briefly done when he tossed her at Ryan like one tossed a mnipet a ball. Nails dug into Mark's shoulder as Shik forced him around."Where is the artifact?"
Why was this happening? Why were they here? Why did time kept repeating itself?
He wanted answers. He wanted this to stop. All he remembered, was that after he had bumped into one of the pedestals, he got impaled by one of the spikes shortly after. Perhaps those had something to do with all this?
Having no intentions of putting himself on the brink of death again, he only stared at the pedestals, wondering what he should do, when he caught sight of the green-haired hunter who had greeted him and Stormy previously. What was he...
Huh... maybe... At this point, he didn't care about logic. He just wanted all of this to freaking STOP.
Shedding his own coat, he walked over to a pedestal, tossing his coat over it. There was something bugging him about that sun. Perhaps if they prevented the sun from hitting the runes, time would stop rewinding.
In an instant, everything reset once again, setting them back to where they had started. She was temporarily caught off guard when seized by the arm and dragged along before suddenly being tossed at Ryan. Yep. She hated this guy. He pissed her off.
Getting to her feet, she gave Ryan an apologetic look, before returning her attention back to Shik. "Leave him alone already!" She called out, shooting at his arm again. Honestly, Shik. Honestly..
Nevada blinked as the timeskip stepped them back to where they were. She sighed. Loudly.
"Sherry hun? you okay darling?" She tapped the head set and followed after jake again because the hunter could and probably would get himself hurt. "Back to the beginnings again hun~ Want to come join me in..." There was a loud oomph as the Mist huntress tackled Jake to keep him still as the pile of runes. She didn't know why he was taking his coat off but she didn't care. All that matter was she had him now and he really needed to stop disappearing places.
"Sorry handsome but we need to make something really clear here. Now that Stormy is with Gale, That leaves you still as a viable interest in getting hurt, Me and Sherry are going to keep an eye on you? Try not to wander far." There was a extremely dangerous glint in Nevada's eyes should he disobey and though she was a trainee...it would promise a life of pain and constant annoying Nevada to Jake moments. She was not going to live through seeing someone bleed out again, or suffer through Stormy's transformation. So long as Sherry and Jake stayed nearby, she could at least focus on the task at hand.
Once made clear, she rolled off him and looked around. "Coats on runes? Well its not like I need mine now do I?" And followed suit, placing her coat on another of the 12 runes.

Candace stood sharply and just stared at the horseman who had decided to stand beside her. What the ********. The gems on her rings flashing with a bright purple light until she made them calm down; refusing to summon her unless this horseman made a move. "At this point I'd be willing to try anything, to be honest." She muttered, taking off her own coat and tossing it onto the pedestal. Why not? What was the worst that could happen? They'd die? Right.
One of the new trainees started going on about chocolate and staring at the sun. Candace blinked. "...I think you need some water." A shadow suddenly loomed over her and she looked over her shoulder, offering Rep a fond smile. Before she could say anything to him she heard her name being called and turned on her heel immediately. Gale. Gale..with Stormy on his back. She didn't say a word at first, she simply watched him with a little smirk and a raised brow.
"Hey, sweetie." She finally called out as the boy got closer, looking him over for any injuries on either him or Stormy. Good, they were both safe. "Is Stormy having trouble with her legs?" Candace sounded more amused than concerned.
Again? Really? Just what the hell was even happening? Ryan was thankful that no one had died but... if they were doomed to repeat this over and over, he might have actually preferred death.
And like before, Shik was back, causing more trouble. Only this time he caught Kat by arm and literally dragged her along. It wasn't until he actually reached the center of the machines that he released his hold on Kat and flung her at him. Fortunately in the confusion he caught her without inflicting any harm to her with his own weapon. Unfortunately, Shik was after Mark once again.
"Enough of that already!" he snarled. Seizing the horseman's wing again. Though this time, not only did he dig his claws in and wrench it back out of place. This time he kept pulling, in an attempt to drag him away from the death assistant.
Just how many times did he have to try and kill Mark!?
