Sebastian smiled and stood up, wrapping Emmie in his arms and whirling her around, kissing her face and cheeks and top of her head, including her little bunny ears that continuously flopped around and twitched at the slightest sound.
Maddie giggled from under the bed, and crawled out, leaping onto Manga's back and wrapping her in a hug. She climbed around to sit in Manga's lap facing her and squished Manga's face with her hands. "Manga no be sad!" She said in her little girl voice with a giggle.

Paimon nodded. It seemed that Grimm had gotten the idea.

Emmie squealed and giggled, squirming in Sebastian's hold. Her expression was a bit more reserved than Maddie, but it was exponentially brighter than it'd been when they first met.
Laughter bubbled out from Manga's own mouth, sounding strange with Maddie's hands distorting her cheeks and lips. She gently removed the girl's hands, amused. "Alright, alright..." Grinning, she added, "But I require payment!" She snatched the girl up and tickled her, trying to avoid the girl's flailing limbs.

Grimm thought about it. "Alright then. Tell me your proposal and then we can edit it as we find the need." Clearly they'd thought about it a lot. It was likely why they'd said his name so many times... Either way, now that he had the outline, they could work on the details.

Paimon nodded his head. "Ca figured if we offer you our firstborn, then that would keep Ruin from getting him or her, but then there poses the problem if he decides he wants a different one... So I am up for your suggestion." He replied.

Grimm looked at the pregnant mare. It was probably the first time that a parent had offered a child for the child's safety instead of the parent's. She would be a wonderful parent. So he'd make a favorable deal. "How about this," he suggested. "Seven days after the foals are born, I will take the firstborn with me. In return, I will prevent Ruin from seeking alternate retribution upon discovering that the firstborn is mine." After all, he doubted Ruin would come himself to deliver a message. He would likely send a messenger first to proclaim his favor and then come to take what he wanted.

The terms sounded reasonable but he turned to Ca to get her input. It still meant loosing a foal, but the foal was bound to be safer with this Grimm.. right? He twitched his tail and looked back at Grimm. "What guarantee do we have that the foal will be safe with you?" He asked, not at all hostiley, but more like a concerned parent.

Grimm smiled. Yes, these two were genuine parents. "The children I take in are raised as my own. I can't really give you a guarantee... because that is a job better suited for my children." He shrugged. "I cannot say either way whether my parenting skills are good or bad; I would like my children to be the judge of that. However, I can guarantee that I will do everything in my power to project your foal."
Ca nodded slowly. Maybe that was why Grimm reminded her ever so slightly of Punk. That loving, fatherly behavior that came out around children...

Paimon looked at Ca before making his desicion. It hurt, but it had to be done. "Then you have a deal, Grimm. Thank you." He said, his coal eyes brimming with sadness as he leaned down and nuzzled Ca. If only there had been another way, but neither Ca nor Paimon, nor their Bonded could come up with another path. This had to be it.

Grimm nodded his acknowledgement. As he walked towards the stable entrance, he spoke over his shoulder. "I don't usually let forfeited children meet their biological parents, but... this time, I think I can make an exception." He tied a piece of his straw-turned-gold around one of the posts by the door, walking out. "A pleasure doing business with you."
