Ayperos stood upon the top of his tower, he sat down and stared at the clouds in the sky. Ayperos had been bandaged up after receiving serious wounds in battle. He went up there to think and sort through his emotions. He had heard of his childhood friend's death at the hands of the new Akatsuki leader, but should he really be sad? Toya was his friend back when he didn't have many, back when the very village they tried to protect, Konohakagakure, went them on suicide mssions. Toya and Ayperos always made it out alive. Years after Ayperos left the leaf, he began hearing rumors of a man named Toya committing terrible acts of violence upon random strangers for no clear reason, he denied them and said that it was a different Toya...

But Ayperos came to know the mad side of Toya when he attacked a small island near Uzushiogakure, leaving the entire village blanked it darkness. Ayperos being a Batsage, went to investigate and help the indigenous people but it was far to late. He saw what remained of the people...They could hardly even be recognized as people after that, since the bloody bones were turned into gravel and the flesh basically melted off. Ayperos threw up. He searched the island to find a clue, a shard of evidence on what monster had done this. He entered a Shinobi Academy and that's when he saw him, Toya the demon....

Ayperos screamed and demanded that he told him why he did that, but Toya only laughed a mad man's laugh and summoned his minions. Ayperos found them, it was a challenging fight but right when Ayperos was about to make his finishing blow on the second from last one alive, they disappeared. Toya had called them off inorder to fight his old friend one on one. Ayperos once again asked for Toya to explain what happened today, this time Toya replied "The weak have no right to live in this world... You should understand me more then anyone! Remember the way they threated us?! All the old stares and fear... I hate them... I hate them all!!" Then he attacked Ayperos. The fight lasted awhile, both of them bleeding in the process but they knew that their paths could only be continued if one of them died. Ayperos had been holding back but then called forth the remains of his chakra reserves and used his version of the Tenpenchii, far weaker then the Ten Tails' but still incredibly strong. It hit Toya, severely crippling his right arm and chased his left mangetkyo sharingan eye to explode. The way it happened though, Ayperos knew for a fact Toya could've dodged but he didn't... Why?! Ayperos fell from loss of chakra and couldn't move, he saw Toya stumble off and even passing Ayperos without finishing him. Something inside Toya refused to let him kill his only friend... A spark of sanity from within.

Ayperos woke up several hours later and returned to Uzushiogakure, Eden and Kenta helped patch him up and nurse him back to help. Light helped by bringing the bandages to mommy and hugging his daddy afterwards. It was later on that day when news of a new Akatsuki leader killing Toya and taking over. After 3 days Ayperos made his way to the roof and sat to think.

The thought left on going through his head, it was his fault that his childhood friend died... If Ayperos hadn't went to that island in the first place then Toya would still be alive. Ayperos felt guilty and depressive. Though Toya had murdered hundreds of innocents, he was still the best friend of Ayperos...

Ayperos looked down at the ground, and continued to think about what he had done on that island that, had paved the way for Toya's defeat, his childhood friend. He saw Kenta as he made his way to Ayperos on the roof, but Ayperos did not sense him because he was in an emotional state. Kenta stared at Ayperos for a moment then started to speak. With Kenta's words, Ayperos heard how much he cared for him and how Kenta just wanted to keep him from feeling down. This made Ayperos feel better, but he did not respond. He couldn't bring himself to tell Kenta.

As Kenta continued to speak, spoke with more concern in his voice then ever before... After which, he thumped Ayperos on the head and made a joke about Eden leaving him. Ayperos felt a rush and had to reply to Kenta, he had to tell him everything. "Kenta, on that island I witnessed more brutal deaths then I have ever before, even the wars that I served in were more humane. But I could do nothing to prevent it... They were just bits and pieces when I arrived, it even made me throw up! When I found out who was responsible, I was shocked. It was my childhood best friend, the man that had saved my life countless times when the entire world was against us. We fought after I discovered him, he had lost all sence of morality and was essentially consumed by darkness. The battle ended when I used my final jutsu that wounded him severly and caused me to pass out from lack of chakra." Tears had began to roll down Ayperos' eyes as he continued to speak. "The moments before I passed out, he walked away without doing the killing blow... WHY?!" Ayperos stood up and looked Kenta in the eyes. "The thing that's making me so sad is even though he murdered an entire village so violently, I still feel the way I felt about him 10 years ago!! He later died because he was attacked and he had already been weakened because of me."

Ayperos had so many mixed emotions and strange thoughts running through his head that he was depressive. The only thing that kept him from traveling the lands and hunting down the man that murdered Toya was his family and friends... What if this man was stronger then him? It was Ayperos' job to protect the village, if Ayperos left or died the village would be at risk of an attack by the Akatsuki... They would capture Kenta to take his tailed beast and use it to either make themselves more powered or just make a lot of ryo from selling it. They would probably murder Eden in front of Light and cause his Rinnegan to awaken, then take his eyes for themselves. Once again the ruins of Uzushiogakure would litter the island... Waiting for time to repeat itself. Ayperos had no intent on that happening.

Ayperos heard great wisdom in Kenta's words, wisdom that had been shared by so many of the greats... His words reminded him of those great Shinobi of Konohagakure that he had often read and heard stories of when he lived there. His words were like that of Naruto, Hashirama and Jariya. Kenta popped Ayperos right in the face with his fist, not out of rage but out of utter respect. After his fist met contact with Aypero's face, it left Ayperos with a busted lip but a new found sense of justice. His words along with the punch inspired Ayperos, all of Ayperos' tears stopped and he fixed his posture that had been modified when he received the punch. He smiles. "You've grown to be as wise as the greatest of shinobi and you have the strength to back it up. I have no doubt that one day you will overlap my legacy and become a Legend yourself. Kenta, you've inspired me to stop mopping around and be a man. Now let's get off this roof... and thanks for your help." Ayperos said, then turned around and began to maneuver his way off the roof, onto the balcony and into the office. As he walked a thought rushed through Ayperos' head. Maybe Kenta will be his successor?

"I've spoken to other shinobi nations and the Soulreapers and they all acknowledge the 'Demons' as a threat. The Soul Reapers recently set up an outpost in the land of fire to help defend against the threat, they call the demons hollows. If Kenta desires to go then so be it." Ayperos said, responding to both Kenta and Kazuma. Ayperos knew that if they were to encountered an Espada it would end bad, so he figured that he figured he'd send a second group along with them. "I'll also send another stealth squad, there's 4 of them for safety reasons. I suggest you wear stealth gear.." He said. Ayperos then maneuvered around his desk and sat on his chair.
