Mortimer gleamed with pride when he heard that Arwen could fish. Like father like son, as they always say. Beaming, he patted Arwen on the back. "Ahhh, just like your father. Good to know he kept up with the family tradition! I'll fish with ya! I've been craving a good fishing trip for quite awhile."
He followed Arwen's actions and slowly got up on shaky legs. He was tired, but by god, he wasn't going to miss some bonding time with his grandchild.
Herbert wagged his tail and happily chewed on the food that was given to him.
He looked up from his place when he heard a low rumble and looked up curiously at Branimir. Head canted to the side, he wagged his tail to and fro before pawing at the arcanine.

Parthenius fluffed up under the Lucario's watchful gaze, but eagerly darted to the boy's arms. He was kneeling low enough for her to try and place her forepaws on his knees, and her hind legs kicked at the air while she tried to get atop his lap.

Dora looked up as the girl and miltank approached, and smiled at her. "Oh, hi - you're the girl Mordred was harassing earlier, right? I'm sorry about him, he loves shiny objects a bit too much," she said, motioning to said murkrow who was now staring at Kurai as he ate. "Oh, do you need some pokéchow for your miltank? I have enough to share."

"Glad you managed to get out here in time, than!" He grinned at Oyumi as he retrieved Zat from his braid, then started moving with the rest of the large group. As it got dark, he heard people settling into smaller groups for the night, and the braided trainer moved after Kurai when he saw her moving for the cave. A grin on his face once again, he waved as he popped up behind her. "Make that three warm bodies. Sadly, Zat here isn't big enough to count as a fourth."

When the poochyena tried to get in his lap he overbalanced and fell onto his butt. Cael laughed and tried to make room, using one hand to scratch behind the pokemon's ears. "Cloud used to do this all the time, didn't you, Cloud?" called to her with a huge grin. The Lucario huffed.

"It's great that your pokemon are making such great progress. Mine are making slow but steady progress. Titan is a Zweilous now, I also now have a Sharpedo who happens to get along quite well with Calypso. Spirit is doing well also, she's steadily getting stronger. I was going to bring her with me on this expedition but I figured we would probably encounter quite a few Ice types up here, so I thought Tiger would be a better fit on this trip, plus it would give Spirit a rest from all the battling we've been doing." She talked as they entered the cave. It was great catching up with Zak again. They hadn't seen each other for several months since their last battle between Zak's Zue and Flora and Cara's Titan and Spirit. Cara laughed as Rory approached. "Nah, he's not bothering us. Quite the contrary actually." She replied. Cara found a relatively flat space to park it for the night and took her backpack off and set it on the ground, sitting down next to it. Tiger sat down next to her, curling up against her to keep her warm and for comfort. Cara then nodded to Xander's comment. "Yup, I'm an officer. Or at least an aspiring one. I think I'll have to do some more research before I actually do change professions."

Miu's head snapped up and her ears perked forward, catching the sorrowful wails of a child. "Vulpix!" She got to her paws and lightly bit her trainer's knee, then dashed off into the woods. Her maternal instincts had kicked in and, even for a small pokemon, she wasn't about to leave a human child lost in the woods. "Miu? OW, Miu!" the little brat had bitten her! Still, Koorie knew her pokemon enough to know that there had to be a serous reason for such behavior. She shook her head and settled back down, not worrying about the vulpix being out alone; the damn girl was resourceful and could take care of herself. It didn't take long for the fire pokemon to pick up the sent of the lost Remmy, and she ran back to grab the emergency kit that the ranger had given her trainer. As she ran back towards the direction of the crying, she came to a stop as she nearly ran right into Sakki. Dirt was kicked up as she skittered to a halt, and she dropped the kit to apologize quickly. ' Please excuse me for my rudeness. There seems to be a child in distress.' was all she got out before picking the kit up in her mouth again and bolting as fast as her paws would allow.

Sakki continued down the mountain, glad to be away from the group of trainers and their pokemon. Glad she was able to stretch out completely. It was a while before she realized a how far she had come. "Dragonair!" she called out softly. The night was getting chilly and she was thinking about going back to the camp. Her beady red eyes glanced back the way she came. Suddenly a Vuplix ran into her, dirt covering her beautiful tail. Yet when she apologized and explained the dragonair became quite worried as well. She always had a thing for little kids. If there was something she could do she would help to do so. Wait up for me. she called out after the vulpix, moving after the fuzzy pokemon as fast as her coils would carry her.

Lilliputti was back in her glameow form, and stepping slowly around other trainers and their pokemon as she sniffed and contemplating taking a new form. Transforming into a ditto, Lilli settled down and bubbled in boredom, there had to be something interesting to imitate around here!
Lilli's trainer was sure the little ditto was getting away from him on purpose. Gepardo growled under his breath as he settled near the cave and looked around, trying to spot the whiteness of the ditto's forms.

Unaware that Cael could've been hurt, Parthenius barked happily when he fell and squirmed her way onto his belly to kiss his face a few times. She liked this human a lot, and the feeling soon spread to the Lucario, simply because of the fact that Cloud was his. When Cloud huffed, she wagged her tail, amused, but didn't stop sniffing Cael's face or licking him.

He was quite enjoying the conversation as well, it has been quite a while since the two last saw each other. "I was going to bring Flora, but she had a tendency of attacking any flying type pokemon so I didn't want any sort of conflict to break out because of her. Plus Sakki needed the exposure, the two of us havn't done much together since I was given her so I thought it would be best this way. he glanced around and saw that the snake like pokemon was gone. Zak wondered where she had gotten off to, but he know she was strong enough to take care of herself. Still he was slightly concerned she might freeze in this weather, yet her flamethrower might take care of that. He'd wait a bit longer before attempting to go find her.

 Deciding she was getting nowhere sitting over here by herself, Juno finished her quick supper, coaxed Desdemona back into her lantern, and hefted her pack back onto her shoulder. The tall woman meandered through the crowd until she came upon an old man with a Growlithe. She addressed him, doing her best to keep the condescension out of her voice, trying instead to sound concerned. "I'm surprised to see you out here in the mountains and the chill winds, sir. Shouldn't you be at home by the fire, sipping a hot cup of tea, surrounded by loving grandchildren?" Juno was thinking of her own grandfather, though the two men really were nothing alike.

Miu slowed to a trot and glanced behind her to the dragonair, waiting for the beautifully marked pokemon to catch up with her. Placing the kit down, her ears pressed back a little. ' Will your trainer be ok with you away?' From the faintness of the cries, she had a feeling that the lost child was a good distance away and it was going to take a decent amount of time to get to him. There didn't need to be anyone else wondering off, looking for lost pokemon.

Mortimer shifted and faced Juno with a grin. Ah, she was a kind lass! It warmed his heart to see people so young and respectable. There were so few of them around, nowadays.
"No need to worry! I'm a tough old goat, I am!" he exclaimed, raising an arm to show what little muscle he had. "I'm at home wherever my grandchildren are, and right now, this is where it's at!" He stomped the ground, and reached over towards Arwen. "This here is my wonderful grandson, d**k." He probably couldn't look any prouder even if he tried.
"What's your name, miss?"
